Regarding your She Reads Truth Bible, I have also placed book tabs that I regretted, for the very same reason. So, what I did was go through one-by-one and with sharp scissor I carefully trimmed each tab from the page edge, leaving the sticky part on the page. Just remove the book tabs. Any pages I ripped, I used transparent tape, just enough to reinforce the tear. I didn't want to waste that Bible. It worked for me & I think it may work for you as well. Keep making your videos! I really like the Parallel Bible. That’s pretty handy. What I do is read from two (or more) bibles when I am studying. This would make it easier. And I do not understand why women need to apologize for a Bible collection. I don’t see the guys apologize. Plus, there are a lot of other, stranger, and more expensive things people collect. I think having several bibles is a great thing!! and yeah, I do understand about a man who likes his camo. I almost bought my husband that camo Bible. But I was thinking the print was too small for him.

Just for your consideration... sharpies are really a strong ink... I splurged on Micron pens... much better. I think there are other ones too that you can find that wont be as bad as a sharpie. I like the Micron because it has archival ink. I plan to use my Bible for decades to come and I didn't want my oils to ever cause the ink to run.

I have a study Bible which I don't write in (thinner pages) and a Journal the Word large print Bible to take notes in that are important to me. The Journal the Word Bible has thicker pages and wide margins... ideal for taking notes. I like that it's single column so any notes are right next to verses the notes are written about.
You can Use pencil crayons like crayola ect.. to highlight… I use adult colored pencils you can find adult colored pencils on Amazon as well as Michaels ect…
I love using Pigma Micron pens in my bible but recently began using Pilot Frixion pens & Pilot Frixion highlighters. None of them bleed through but I've read that you shouldn't leave your bible in a really hot place because the Frixion ink may disappear. Regardless, I really like those because they are eraseable, unlike the Pigma Microns.

If my boyfriend spent £70 on a bible for me I'd definitely not write in it. I have bibles that I just read and I'm getting a journaling bible for Christmas this year. I'm super excited for that. I feel like I can never have too many bibles 😂
If it's your cup of tea, you can find a lot of really nice KJVs inexpensively either at Ollie's, or from TBSBibles.com or ChurchBiblePublishers.com. I have a TBS Royal Ruby as my carry-along Bible, it's really small but complete. (Sometimes you can find good deals on NKJVs, NIVs, HCSBs and CSBs at Ollie's too.) ChristianBook.com is another good source of inexpensive Bibles in many different versions, I've bought 3 from them so far. I often go to the local Christian bookstore to get my Bibles stamped, they'll do it for a fee.

I am now looking for a non study bible that I can just have the lines for journaling with so many options to choose from I do not want to make the mistake to get the wrong one. I like KJV or NIV. Thomas Nelson has the Journal the Word in KJV and NKJV. I use one of them and think that might be up your alley. Zondervan makes a similar bible in NIV.
sarachikorita I am so glad you mentioned this one because I have my eye on it for sure. It seems to be made well too I am attracted to the journal the word bible in the pink floral niv version or the teal floral kjv and they both are just gorgeous on the outside but simple text and lines for journaling in the inside. The binding seems to be durable as it is made of a cloth canvas type of material and stitched pretty good as well as bounded well. I use my bible more than I use anything else and not that I'm rough on it but I do need it to stand the test of time. I prefer a hard cover rather than the leather because the way I store it the flexible leather does not hold up properly. I guess you can say I am bit more picky going into this purchase because i just want to find that perfect one for me!
Yeah, I'm not a fan of leather bindings myself. I do have a couple - but I'm more a fan of hardbacks. I mean supposedly Church Bible Publishers' stuff (and they have a journalling Bible too) will stand the test of time - and certainly it's built like a brick house - but to me it really feels like I'm paying $50, $75 for the cover, when it's the guts, not the cover, that matter.

I personally recommend using the Revised NAB Bible. It is a Catholic Bible that includes the Apocrypha ( Judith, Tobit, Susanna etc. ) It has very large print and plenty of room for notes. It even has photos and maps. I love it! PS I like the Jesus Bible.

KJV is not as accurate as people think...the Geneva Bible is more accurate and even older (but even harder to read😅) I really don’t recommend NLT or NIV because of the lazy translations. It’s best to be as accurate as possible. You look beautiful in a head wrap btw 😁

My sister has a bible that has four translations in one bible.
Micron pens wont bleed through those pages. They even have some generic brand microns that work as well.

Get some Pigma Micron pens - i use them on actual old Bible paper - just a little shadowing - no bleed thru. I use .005 size. Great vid!
