The Night Before
Lily lay in bed, her heart racing. Tomorrow was her first day at a new school. She could barely sleep, imagining what her new classroom would be like and if she would make friends.
The Morning Routine
As the sun rose, Lily’s mother called her for breakfast. She quickly brushed her teeth, washed her face, and put on her favorite blue dress. She felt nervous but excited.
Breakfast
At the table, Lily ate toast and jam. Her mother reminded her to be brave. “You’ll meet new friends and learn so much,” she said, smiling encouragingly.
The Walk to School
Walking to school, Lily felt butterflies in her stomach. She held her mother’s hand tightly. They passed a park where children played, and Lily hoped she would be just as happy at school.
