Does anyone else feel like their older versions show more raw emotion? Their album is amazing! I love it! I just feel like their sugar coated their lyrics and music to make it nice and lovely for the media . The older versions for Ties and King and Border all sound so angry and I love it . Where as in the album they are all nicer and softer
I agree with this actually - these older versions are more raw and intriguing tbh. They are moodier. Of course I love the album versions, but the changes make them more pop-friendly and shiny. I actually much prefer the old version of King tbh, it's amazing.
+lisayears I heard the older version of King and it's so much "bitchy- Er" and border! I hate to admit but I was most disappointed with Border. I loved the older version instead of the up beat happy version
totally agree with this. their old music is more atmospheric and more raw. I can totally feel Olly's feelings with the lyrics, how he sang the songs. Also, Emre's beats were more unique compared to their album. they evolved a lot. This reminds me of their style with Traps and You & I. more euphoric.
This version is beautiful too, it does sound a little more angry and I like that. He NAILS the end, it gives me chills. I love his voice and the beats are AMAZING! I LoVe this band!
And I know it's not right, to leave all your cards behind, but you never felt safe, given our power (or "giving our power away") And I know it's not fair to feel like I'll always be there but ~you'll never be the blame the way how I'll always go back ? ~ the last part im not sure. This is all I can figure out. Hope it helps (:
their old music is so powerful.
yesss
