Boy, You are living the life right now, good looking wife, and all the cowboy, and cowgirl hands you need, I wood love to be in your shoes!.... I have not seen any grandpa's , or grandma's yet !!
If ever any one off those kids want to come to South Africa and I’m still alive….they’ve got a home. Love you all and am enjoying every episode.
Nice job, hard working family. Stay safe and healthy all.
I hope that you don’t take this the wrong way but I think your wife is the real show of the whole ranch.
You got one boy, you got one boy. You got two boys, you got half a boy. You got three boys, you got no boys at all. Told to me by an older cousin born in 1885 who was a lifelong rancher on his own ranch and worked with lots of young guys coming on to ranch work, mostly horseback.
They didn’t just make that up😂
You have heard the saying
Boys will be boys
These kids are enjoying life. Doing chores like it's playtime.
I'm just over two minutes into the video and it's pretty clear that the little chestnut (sorrel) is gonna give you quite a few head aches. He looks like he's never seed a saddle pad, let alone the rest of the tack you'll need! Lmao.
Oh well, he's certainly in the best place if he simply needs some miles under saddle! Lol. Have fun with that.
That is some hard country. Great place to raise kids. A lot for them to learn living like this. From what I see, you and Laura are doing a fine job with the kids and the cattle. I see the older ones helping the little ones without being told. That alone tells me a lot about your family, even though I know it ain't all peaches and cream.
Best thing for a horse is alot of ranch work. They experience everything over time become great horses.
Exactly!!!
Thanks for bringing us along. That horse didn't want to be saddled did it. It seemed to do much better once the saddle was on it though. I'm glad you didn't get bucked off...or did you? Haha!
God bless you all!
It's great how you all work together ❤
That Sorrel was like, "What is he doing to me." Knees and flank were shaking, lol You guys are so lucky to have a big loving family. I have 7 brothers and sisters and I wouldn't have changed anything growing up with them, Mom and Dad!
Hey if you have something on your hat you can slide your phone into to record you'll have your hand back haha! You can put a purdy leather strap around your hat or some elastic headband your wife has you can borrow would probably work.
Thanks for a peek into your world. Keep um coming!!
Sir you knowledge about cows amazes me i learn somthing on every video you an your supper family make me happy gives me hope god bless you
That ol pony is what ya call “a forgetful” hoss … he done forgot he’s broke😁
Love to see the brothers work together so well. Great family.
The sorrel reminded me of mine, "King", an ornery/spooky horse back in the 1950's. My sister had the nicest one, a Morgan, that was like a big, friendly dog. I miss the smell of horses. But not cows. And I don't miss pitch forking manure.
I have a strained relationship with my pitchfork
Love all your videos, great family
A great family working together. Love seeing the younger boys riding too. Great job on the video. Look forward to you posting a new video
Thanks Lynn
Great video Ramzi
Love a good round up. You guys are pros.
Love it every time I get the notification. Brightens my day seeing your videos.
Thanks so much!!!!
Riding the tough ones is what Dad does. Best learning for future ranch hands. Good job.
you just don't no how lucky you are to have a family like you have and a beautiful wife!
Thanks 🙏
Made some popcorn in honor of cowboy time! 👍👍
Thanks for celebrating our day off from broke down junk
There is a combine in the field below my house broke down "again" and the rest of that late season corn needs to leave the field.
#ITotallyUnderstandTheLifestyle
#BestWishes
@@mariemorrissey9378 good luck with the combine
I know one mechanic that you don’t want working on it 😜
At last, Rawhide! Cool. I've gotta say, it looked pretty smoothly done.
Great content. Thank you.
Thanks! Enjoyed watching!
Thanxs for taking all of us on the cattle round up
Looks like a great day!
Yessir!!!
Another great video, keep them coming.
"its on the list" phrase i live by
Let's go
Hard working family right there! Those boys will be some rank cowboys one day
Another productive day! That sorrel seemed to turn out all right. No rodeo anyway. Your Anchor Brand Ranch crew all did awesome too! 💯
Great show!
You didn't get bucked off so it was a good day after all! Nice to have a good crew to work with!
Slow and easy wins every time .
Yessir
Even though it's hard country to raise cattle in . you and your family are truly blessed to be able to do it . Thank you for bringing us along , your boys are absolutely awesome ....
Thanks for riding with us!!!
Great job on the video. I really enjoy watching your videos and getting a peek into your family. I really love how you and the family live and I think you are raising the kids in the best way to make them very well rounded young people. I have said before they will learn more on that farm than any book or school could teach them. Hope the best for you and your family be safe in your travels and Take Care
Thanks so much!!!
I'm in IL and grew up in a city just outside Chicago. Every summer I went to southern IL to work on my cousins Dairy farm I miss that life so much and cannot wait to have my own farm one day. I kinda wish I had as many kids as you to help out but I have one girl and she is definitely gonna be perfect for the job HAHA! She is a wild one like me and good with animals. Hopefully I am able to have a wildlife rescue so I can help with the eagle population around here and have some bald eagles haha!
How old is your daughter?
Hope you get your farm!
Wishing you could do two videos a week! I like my hat and tee shirt, Great family!!!
Maybe one day!
Outstanding... watching from southern wisconsin!
Thanks for watching
Hope you enjoy
Your cows are so courteous, walk together so nicely. Good job on getting up on that cray cray horse. Maybe bribe him with carrots?
I've got a few round-tuits hanging around here, I'll share~
Thanks so much
Hope you enjoy watching!
You have awesome dogs! Did you train ‘em or have help? Really impressive like your kids.
Awesome family. I wish you abundance past your wildest dreams Anchor ranch.
🙏🤞🏿
Great video
What your family is doing is my dream
Keep it up guys!
yep good job ... ditto to a few of the other comments
Fun to see the kids working with you!
I was where you are seemingly a short time ago! Time flys!
Enjoy it
Hello there. It's a big eye opener for me with the lives you have. I'm impressed you have some good kids and a good wife and daughter. It must feel great to have a nice family. I was never any good at riding horses. But building stone walls and macanicing trucks and tractors and machinery in general that's my thing.
BTW loved your video!!
This reminds me of the movie. The one where the guy says the cowboy way!
Enjoyed one of the better videos stay safe
Good dogs. Dakota gold pellets work wonders--in the Dakotas anyway. :-D
Lovin all the content sir 👍
Thanks 🙏
your videos are fun
That sorrrel sure did keep its butt tucked underneath it look like it was ready to have a sure enough rodeo. He looks like he had a home in his back
Subscribed.. good content 👌🏽
I love the way you talk about that “List”..... it’s never ending isn’t it? Know exactly what you sayin!
That sorrel is about as nervous a horse as I want. Pretty green to be working cows on, but good job. I like the dark horse. I bet you’re red haired young un’ is a pistol. Love his personality and desire at his young age.
He sure is!
Thanks for watching ⚓️
The sorrel looks like a fun ride. Wish I had been there.
Come on!
@@anchorbrandranch soon I promise. It’s gonna happen. I will bring my saddle.
Man that is jackalope country, ha.
Reminds me a bit of the old John Wayne film where he uses a bunch of boys to drive cattle.
Yeah my boys love that show
And I have moved lots of cattle with little kids for sure.
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to work with grown men🐂🤷🏿♂️
@@anchorbrandranch That's great. I'll bet the also want to wear side arms too. Just like the movie. The rabbits wouldn't have a chance. Lol.
That there was some real Cowboyin, No wrenchin er nuthin.🤣🤣😂😂Your one bull looks like hes got a little Hitch in his giddy up. hope he all right, all though, ya wont be able to taste a limp in a T Bone. Thanks for the ride a long.
Thankfully no wrenching for one day
Dream Team.
Short ears....lol That's the problem with that Sorrel. I had a grey mare that would pin her ears and chase those jacks, you better hang on!
Heck …. and I kept calling that horse a donkey all day as an insult 😂⚓️
@@anchorbrandranch did it's ears get any longer?
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery I was just lucky to have all my kids to get the cows cuz I couldn’t do a thing on that dummy
Awesome video ..you got the little Sorrel horse learning.. your getting to old to be breaking horses lol to many gentle horses in this world that need riden these days to ..
The little sorrel or as we call them chestnut is little more than green broke and quite twitchy.
Thought we might have a rodeo when that horse you saddled was all spooky
Where do you take the culls? I see you had a prolapse cow and that bull has a bad leg. I really enjoyed your cow handling tip about holding them until they think they are caught. In my area we don't move cattle much more than a couple of miles and they have been handled so much that the old cows already know the routine. Your videos are improving.
3 hours to a sale barn for the culls
I’m hoping the bull is just sore footed and will get better resting in the yard eating hay🤞🏿
I subscribe because of heavydsparks hope your Chanel grows
Thanks for subscribing Rebecca⚓️
We also hope that lots of people will find and enjoy Anchor Brand Ranch
The grass sure is sparse.
Great Life
Love the lifestyle
Anchor Brand
Have only been watching since Diesel Peeps steered me to your channel
I'm sure you've stated in earlier video but wondering how many head do you Folks run
Really enjoy your videos
We have between 6-7 hundred on this ranch and then separated herds in Florida 140
And Utah 165
Awesome scenery in the valley mate. What is your average annual rainfall and whiçh month do you receive your highest daily rainfall?
here in australia we call ponds dams or water holes those cattle are in very poor condition
That last big bull, that went in was lumping
Wish I could send you some of this rain were supposed to get here this week we needed rain but know were getting alot to much when it starts making mud ..
Send it out
Our forecast does show a chance this week 🤞🏿
👍
I noticed one of the cows was having problems with a back foot and wasn't walking good at all. Do y'all take care of hoof problems or do you have to call someone? This was a really good video. 👍
Dropped the anchor on the thumbs up ⚓ 👍 All I see 👀 is ribeye steaks
Thanks boat man
YOUR MORE THAN welcome you Guys are the best ☺
Sure, your HAD to do this. Or maybe just an another opportunity to get out and take your cows for a nice ride.
Cowboy up sir, great video. Jackrabbits have deceptive speed, they're FASTER than they look! You mentioned PHX gentleman with horses you are workin', are you in AZ or UT? 👍💪🙏
We are in southern Nevada right now
I understand your Herd Psychology 101, about keeping the cows restricted, confined and immobile until they become compliant, docile and subdued. My question is... how does that philosophy differ from the way the government treated people during Covid, with the quarantines, mask muzzles, closures, and social distancing rules? 🤨😷🥴
hello
🇨🇱👍🏻
So how do you train dogs to herd cattle?
Taking young dogs with experienced dogs is the best
How about the sorrel has never been ridden before???
Could this be called Come follow me vlog?
Is the anchor brand you old brand or did it come with the ranch?
Thanks for asking
The anchor is our old brand
This new place came with the D/4 brand
I think we’ll convert them to the anchor eventually
What makes a horse whinny and a cow moo?
Way better then Dale Brisby haha
Poor DB😂
About how many cows on how many sections
can you do a video with dale brisby should be fun
Dale was at a rodeo one time.
I never met him but Laura got to the truck and showed me a picture of Dale Brisby holding my baby 😜
let your boys out rope him
Where is this Ranch located?
Hwy 375
Between Alamo and Rachel Nevada
You don't ride the horses from the ranch to the cows? Why move horses a few acres with a truck?
I've always wanted to do cattle work but nope
Come on over!
