What gloves do you have? I've been trying to find gloves for my son that are thornproof and fairly snug fitting. Most men's gloves that are thornproof are really bulky and cumbersome. Being a teenage boy he won't wear women's gloves but your gloves look good. We have a 2 acher plot 2/3 covered in tumble weed, much of it Russian tumble weed, but even the non thorny stuff is hard on the hans after a while.

We have these in southeastern Alberta...seeing we are semi arid desert conditions.. dry dry dry open prairie along with rattlesnakes and 2 varieties of prickly pear cacti.
That was paying back time for Colorado beatles that America infested Russia with potatoes plants. Honestly, I came here to see any solution for young tumbleweeds when entire ground is covered. Just for one single plant is no brainer to pull out.

Incredibly invasive, and they spread very easy if not controlled.

Yeah sorry about that when they somehow crossed into the US they spread north into Canada and south to Mexico
