Excellent video, I've been driving HSTs from Hereford to Padd since 2003, all replaced with 800's now, just not the same. I miss the challenge of driving HSTs over this route, love this vid, spent many a night sat on the platform waiting for the last train to Newport after parking up the last one from Padd, we used to stable it in the siding overnight. Thank you, yes will miss the HSTs. I can remember when they took over from the 47s and 50s.i use to love going down to Paddington in the mark 1s and then mark 2s,good memories.
I used to use Hereford station when this was shot, really enjoyed your video.

What a wonderfully unspoilt station at this time with a great variety of rolling stock passing through. Great footage.

What service was the 47+37 with assorted coaches running?
I think it was a ecs working ,sad to say i know longer have any records from that time.

I think it only stopped a couple of years ago. The train now runs from the Continent via the tunnel I believe.
