    10 Percent True #14 P1 - BC Thomas - SR-71 Blackbird Pilot
BC Thomas has more hours in the SR-71 than any other pilot. Note from BC: "JT Vida, my last and best boss, was an RSO and has about 100 more hours than I."
He graciously agreed to be interviewed on 10 Percent True about his time flying the iconic aircraft.
This is the first interview in a series of four.
In it, he describes his route to pilot training, flying the KC-135 and C-130 in South East Asia, the RB-57F, and his eventual acceptance into the US Air Force's Test Pilot School.

    Solid content
Note BC got dressed up suit and tie. Fashion comes and goes, but class is timeless.👍

Fantastic. What a man/aircraft combo. Two of the many SR71 'greats'.

Such a fascinating flying career. Had I been able to make through OCS to become a pilot, the kind of flying Mr. Thomas experienced would have been my choice. My father and stepfather were fighter-pilots and as cool as that was, reconnaissance and scientific test flying would have been my dream job. I still have a stack of military textbooks ( USN & USAF) various NATOPS manuals and aeronautical books about 3 feet high that my stepfather gave me. I have read them all and glad I still have them today.
This has been another fantastic interview.

Really glad you enjoyed it. I think that BC stops by from time to time, so I hope he sees your comments.

    Wasn’t moonbeam a Macvsog plane

Moonbeam was one of our Callsign for the battlestaff. I flew Cricket for 10 years . Bookshelf was one of the main callsigns . I flew with Cricket mostly and Alleycat and Moonbeam. I was a AAC. AIRBORNE AIRCRAFT CONTROLLER. Later we were called the WEAPON CONTROLLER. ABCCC was retired in 2004 I believe. All the aircraft have been chopped up at the boneyard. There is only one left and it's at the CAROLINA AIR MUSEUM at Charlotte, NC . Its at the international Airport just off Interstate 85.

I really like yr show but sometimes u go blankmind when compltely disregarding the audio quality of the very person u r interviewing,
This in frustrating beyond the point of being able the listen to the vsluable information within....extremely frustrating. Ill be back hoping i can hear the subject without them being so far away from the mic that the boom noise room is far less than clean audio of voive....the key to all podcasts.
