Great video. I'm a male with no real experience in this setting. I've worked for the Red Cross as a lab tech without a medical background. After my 6 weeks of training, I ran circles around the experienced. I've done security in hospitals. I just scored an interview at my local hospital for a unit clerk. My only concern is medical terminology that is required. I'm hoping the staff will work with me on this if hired. It's a job I really want.
Girl, I am the unit helper on our floor and we get slammed so hard every day with the diet orders. Hahaha I order mine around 6:20 am and I legit can expect them about a few HOURS after they are ordered. Hahaha a few times we have had ours at 2:00 pm.
Thank you for this! I’m 19 working in a hospital in dietary and have been offered other positions yet I still don’t take the risk because I’m scared of change lol!🥲This convinced me to take the risk as a secretary on one of the floors😊
Love my job lol I’m honestly waiting for the summer to see how much I can make.. it pays well and I’m only working part time ! So I’m excited to see as I approach full time hours. Run don’t walk to the nearest position hiring near you !! Lol if u haven’t yet please subscribe 🥰 and check out any of budgeting videos. I hope you enjoyed my video… I’ll be posting a part 2 before the end of the month 💗
What kind of info do the Drs need to know when calling for a consult. Or what’s a basic conversation like… I want to apply to this position but I also hate talking on the phone esp when I get caught up and don’t know how to reply/answer something.
Thank you for the video! I have an interview very soon & this will be my 2nd job in healthcare but the first in a hospital, what kind of advice would you have for me getting started?
Hey, I personally don’t wear acrylics and majority of the staff I work with don’t whether. They are around 22-60 years old and the younger nurses nails are always short kept for what I’ve seen. I’m not entirely sure about the rules. But because you’ll be wearing gloves… longer nails probably won’t be the best idea, medium and short are probably best… but if you can maneuver with long nails I think you will be okay. I hope that helped !💗 I hope you liked the video btw I’ll post another one by the end of April. Please subscribe if you haven’t already 💗 and I hope I answered your question, please comment any more you may have !
Hi there…I’d like to get my foot in the door in a hospital environment as I go to school for RT.. can you tell how you got this job? There are several posted in my area which I’ve applied for but I don’t necessarily have hospital experience on my resume (I tried to relate service to staff experience and customer service and then the fact that I’m enrolled for the RT program etc)..
Hey how are you💞 I actually worked in a nursing home as a receptionist and activity hall assistant for about a year and when I went to college that being on my resume kind of helped me to get my foot in the door to getting the position at the hospital I work at. Try calling and following up you have to really be on top of it. When I applied for the job, I called, then applied, then called daily to check the status of my application. I hope this really helps let me know if you need anything !! Have a good night
I’m going to do another video with more detail before the end of the month ! Editing videos is so tedious lol, I’m going to try and do a vlog a month 💗 thank you for watching my video… I hope you enjoyed. If you haven’t yet please subscribe 🥰 & check out any of my budgeting videos ! Have a great day

do you organize your day or do the nurses tell you were to go ... like for the lab drop off etc...
Hey what’s the pay for this position?
You can look up the pay rate for it on google. Just make sure you add what state you live in. I hope that this is helpful.
I’ve applied for this position. No luck. What experience did you have before you got the position?
Where’d you get your necklace from? & great video ❤
Do u interact with patients often or are you mainly assisting staff?
I would say 40% of my job requires me to interact with patients. Honestly I have anywhere from 1-10 interactions per shift.
Can you have acrylic nails with this job ?? I applied and have a phone interview Friday . The longest length I get is a medium.
