@@SilencedButNotForgotten at 2:30? The podium? Weren't there like 30 other people in front of the guy that was cheering right there? Wasn't his brother the one that was actually in third at the beginning of the video as soon as they came around the cones? Either way, to have your brother's cheering for you as well is dope
Anyone else notice the guy who was running their pace for a few seconds in the park? He was probably curious if he could even run as fast as them. Daughter couldn't keep up.
I keep watching this over and over, what a race! Imagine competing for that long, and it coming down to a dead Sprint for 100 m, couple hundred at most! That is ridiculous. Both of these dudes are warriors!
As other's have said, that's his brother Alistair Brownlee. He's actually the most successful triathlete of all time - 4 World Championship golds and the only triathlete to ever win 2 Olympic individual gold medals (London 2012 and Rio 2016).
Fenomenal la reacción de Jonathan felicitando sinceramente a Javier. Jonathan sabe ganar y también sabe perder y actuar como todo un caballero. Felicidades los 2 sois unos campeones.
They were traveling at a pace of around 6km/sec. Or around mach 19. They are literally the fastest entities on Earth. In fact everyone competing that day were the fastest entities ever recorded to go that fast. (The joke is the commentator said they had 1000km to go, in the beginning of the video.)

1st place- Best feeling
2nd place- worse feeling
3rd place- satisfied feeling
yes.
So true
Third place - OH LOL
@Connor Parkinson 4th place - Disappointed feeling *
1st: YES!!

@Zirob. Agreed. Energy transfer is a real thing.
His Brother ! ;)
Why did they stop with 999 kilometers to go?
Lol
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
You are talking about the British, right? 999km, one balcony jump, and... Game over. 💀

Charles Dotson yup
No..i was busy looking at your muscles
Yeah I laughed at that
If he thinks he can he's an idiot because they aren't running full speed it's not a sprint.

Fantastico! To keep their running form going all out after 2 hours of competition is super human. To me, these are the best athletes in the world.

These will go down as the golden years of Triathlon, in 50 years time people will always talk about the rivalry between the Brownlee's and Gomez!
everytime i watch this i get excited.
3:24 my brain when I stand up too quickly
I legit read your comment at that moment 😂😂
Underrated comment tho
The GB guy stopping his race to cheer his team mate lol
Scott T it’s his brother
Ali Brownlee (his brother) had won Olympic Gold that year and was injured already (hence he was out of the race by his standards) and didn't care.
TheNjackets not that year. This was 2013. But yes he was injured

They should finish that last "620 miles" in another 8 1/2 days or so.
Hyperbole
Legend has it they are still running the 999km left
They are both amazing and that was beyond incredible!!

How long is the race?
At the final sprint it all depends on how bad you really want it
Javi, so, so competitive always ... great finish !
What a great Final!!
What a dramatic way to finish a race! Brownlee could wait a little bit more before tryin' to beat Gomez, I think.
