I'm a bit older than you so have a few more decades of sitting for 12+ hours/day experience and I can tell you one thing. Repeat after me: stretching. You mentioned daily exercise at the end of the video and it is super important, but daily stretching (at least 15-30 minutes a day) is far more important. I used to have back problems as well and they all went away after 2 or 3 weeks of daily stretching. I've learned my lesson and now I do it every day. After I finish my day job and am about to start coding/learning I will stretch. Or before going to bed at night. Works like a charm. Now it really doesn't matter what desk/chair I'm using. It's all about stretching. I wish I learned this a few decades earlier 😃 Also, I think you mentioned it briefly but being stationary (whatever position) is actually life-threatening.

I have heard that what one does at a place (and maybe in a certain position in general such ad lying down), e.g. in bed on one's phone, one associates a feeling to that place. So, if one also sleeps there, one may have issues with sleeping, as the body may be confused as to whether be awake or asleep. I say this so you can be aware if you notice problems such as having low quality sleep or having a harder time falling asleep.

Then mount your monitor on a monitor arm and bring your monitor above your head while lying down on the mattress. Very comfortable especially for long hours of coding. Doesn't cost too much to set it up like that. When you're done fold your mattress away and you have your original setup!

I'm working on my cough, too, and I do agree it's much more ergonomic a position than working at an office desk. Unfortunately, I have not found any keyboards ergonomic enough yet. I think the main problem is that manufacturers are obsessed with the idea it has to be a *board*. Why not, for instance, a ball, or some spheric form in general? So I'm constantly having wrist and elbow pain. Perhaps a less flat keyboard could solve your scrotch pressure problem, too :) Well, perhaps I should learn some electronics, and build a keyboard of my own.

I have been thinking about this for a long time, although I would do it with a projector like you have in your bedroom. I just feel like laying position isn't any better than sitting position for health? It's certainly better for hips, back and neck in a way, but also you get sleepy a lot and blood circulation would be even slower. That's what bothers me, because I feel like I would gain weight like that easily, because there's even less movement in that position than normally.

I am currently trying to get acustomed to deep squat. This includes having my desk set-up designed for not sitting. It is kinda like the principle of those standing desks, except that I don't stand. My chair is custom with a longer base so I can squat with my feet on it without the backrest getting in the way and the desk has a high, thin board that I can tuck my knees under. I also have a low table that I can fit my knees under when I am deep-squatting on the floor. It's not that good for my back (yet), since I don't yet have the innate balance, the hamstrings/quads strength and the ankle mobility for proper posture, but I am working up to it.

i have a herniated disk thanks to working on my desk for too long.. It‘s frustrating not to be able to study/work right now, as everything hurts my back and all i can think about is lying down while studying, to not hurt my back more..
I hope this kind of setup can help to finally be pain free and someday get my back to heal while not just wasting my time..

Well I do that for about a year now but it was in a bed, I can always sit in it too usually when playing games like Doom or other FPS, I also put small wood planks on either side to store thing that I would need for my work Coffee and cold drinks included. Gotta say it's probably the best thing you could ever have... I recommend you guys try that too but dont forget to excercise, things that was too much is never a good thing...
