G'day Janice, Am new to your channel but so glad to have found you. Eva from Bohemian crafting suggested you and your incredible Apothecary case and journal. The case is beyond words and ask if you are ever going to do a tutorial on it? Will be binging your channel now, especially your waxed paper. Thank you for sharing your creativity, take care, cheers from Australia.
Thank you so much! I will be doing a tutorial on a different box but the technique is basically the same when making all boxes. And Eva is the best....I’m a big fan of her work as well!
OMGosh - I loooove this!! I love every single thing about it - the apothecary theme/case, the vintage - yet modern - vibe, the colors, the coffee dyed papers, the stunning images - and I love that you used the tattered edge papers - I don't know what it's called, but like, when you tear a page out of a spiral notebook, the torn bits of stuff left on the edge?? Most people throw that away, but I've always been fascinated with it - and I was thrilled to see how you used something similar all throughout this journal! It is magnificent - I just can't think of a proper word to describe it - a true work of art. If I could make something like this, I would treasure it always! I'm sure I'll be scouring TH-cam, trying to figure out how to make some of the pockets/windows and the super cool flip-ups/flip downs you made in it - they are all sooo awesome! I'm literally in awe~! I am fairly new to junk journals - I started to journal when my son had a serious heart attack last year, because it helped me work through stuff - then I discovered junk journals~! The concept of taking "junk" and turning it into something useful - and beautiful - really spoke to me! I felt like I found the hobby I'd been looking for all my life and just didn't know it yet! It literally takes me back to when I was 8, and I'd be sprawled on the hardwood floor, surrounded by my papers, scissors, glitter and glue - It really is like therapy, isn't it?? I love it - and I aspire to one day create something as wonderful as this journal~! Thank you so much for sharing your time & talent with us in this video! It's my first time to your channel and I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos! Thumbs up!! And cheers from Texas (where it is storming, yet again!)
Thank you so much. I am planning on a tutorial for a different box but all boxes are basically done the same way. Hope to start that in the next few weeks.
@@janicefreeman8353 please! I would love to be able to build those boxes but I am afraid of starting... I will try to build this apothecary peice for my herbal journal :) I would love to see a tutorial from you!
Amazing apothecary box and contents. Pictures of besutiful windows really felt sacred . Do you have workshop on how to make treasure box? The materials you used surprised me. Wow!
Thank you. No I did not do a tutorial for this box but I do plan on creating another box as a tutorial. It won’t be the same but all boxes are done in basically the same manner. Hopefully I can start that process in the next few weeks.
This is EPIC! I'm bowled over by how amazing your creation is, Janice! The mini bottles with spices and herbs in them are wonderful, and the case is genius! Most people just make a junk journal, but you've created a vintage world! I absolutely love it! Thanks so much for sharing this! ~Janet in Canada
Depends on what I’m glueing. For chipboard projects I use a combination of Scotch quick dry white glue and black construction tape which I get from My Creative Spirit in the UK. For matting and journal making, I use Scotch quick dry white glue and/or scor tape in various sizes.
No I’m sorry but I did not make a tutorial for this one. I will be doing a tutorial for making another box but the technique is the same for all boxes that I make.

This is so inspiring! Where did you get those fabulous images?
Thank you….Eva Zidkova with Bohemian Crafting has the collection in her Etsy shop. It’s gorgeous!!
What clue product do you use? I've adhesive glue and regular clue and things still separate. Especially with glossy paper.
Depends on what I’m glueing. For chipboard projects I use a combination of Scotch quick dry white glue and black construction tape which I get from My Creative Spirit in the UK. For matting and journal making, I use Scotch quick dry white glue and/or scor tape in various sizes.
Is there a video on how you made the box? I mean the outside part... Not the paper you covered the box with but the box itself???
No I’m sorry but I did not make a tutorial for this one. I will be doing a tutorial for making another box but the technique is the same for all boxes that I make.
Can you post the link to the digital paper please
