    I had severe dental infections after years of domestic violence and so many cracked back teeth. I wound up with severe hypokalemia which caused a very scary cardiac situation while driving with my 6 kids!
    Thankfully I was able to get to the hospital in time! Super scary!
    So glad you're ok!!! You're an amazing woman! Thank you for being so real 💞

    Hi Sue, sorry you experienced this. I listened to a podcast on healthy teeth and gums and a few highlights were chewing on dark leafy greens like chewing gum, until they become liquid. This can strengthen the teeth and gums and give them needed nutrients. The other was not using a toothpaste with any glycerine because it acts like Saran Wrap on the teeth, keeping nutrients from remineralizing them.

    Susan I love your videos as I can see the love of Jesus in you😘. You have such a nice calm, soothing demeanor and it is relaxing to listen to you. I left work Wednesday in severe pain and woke up in the middle of the night early Thursday in severe pain. I ended up in urgent care and they found urine in my blood and think I have a kidney stone. I'm a Veteran and waiting to get a renal scan. Before this happened I knew I needed to eat better and bought a really nice cold press juicer. And the plan was to do a juice fast every Sunday and Monday( my days off). My juicer came just in time, and while I'm waiting for tests, I decided to do some home remedies. I've been drinking green juices, lots of lemon with water, apple cider vinegar and water and castor oil packs. Today I made some yummy soup with low sodium vegetable broth, kale, onion, garlic, carrots, parsley and fresh green beans. I believe it's helping as I feel better. Still having pain but has not gotten worse. As you were sharing about the Gerson diet(which I had heard of years ago), I'm thinking that might be a good food plan to be on. Is there a Gerson diet recipe book?

    • @susanresig8452
      @susanresig8452  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Pam, the Gerson Therapy is a whole therapy which involves diet, juices, Hippocrates soup, supplements, and coffee enemas. I've got many videos for foods for the Gerson Therapy as well as other plant based dishes. I believe someone created a cookbook called Happy Gerson for some recipes. Basically the Gerson diet requires oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, and lunch and dinner are the same as they are a cooked veg, a potato, and a salad and HIppocrates soup. You're going to say how about ______? NOPE. Just what's Iisted here. No beans, No salt, No spices like pepper or hot sauce. No oils, no fats, no avocados, no coconut, no olives, etc etc. No meat, no fish, no poultry. The do allow about 1/4-1/2 cup unsweetened organic Greek yogurt but unless you've done the whole therapy for a number of weeks. Oh, I forgot to say everything you ingest needs to be organic. Dr. Gerson was a big fan of apples. You can enjoy stewed, baked and raw apples anytime.

      Hello Susan. Thank you for sharing the experience you’ve had. As I restudy the Gerson Therapy I’ve run across your videos. And I do not know the extent or length of your practicing the Gerson Therapy, did you theorize that the very low sodium instructions of the Gerson Therapy lead to this? You did not mention that possibility in this video, so I wonder what you think? And did you change your diet or anything after this experience? Do you think the anesthesia had dropped your sodium levels and caused that reaction?

      @@merrickb9559 it turned out to be caused by a drug they had given me. Apparently one should restrict fluids after taking it but no one told me so I continued drinking and diluted my blood. I was no longer on the therapy when this happened.

      @@susanresig8452 Thank you Susan :) I’m very curious what that drug is called? I understand if you don’t want to say. Also I’m curious if the Gerson’s, No Sodium whatsoever, can lead to this for others?

    • @susanresig8452
      @susanresig8452  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@merrickb9559 if someone is following the WHOLE GERSON therapy it is not a problem. If someone were to just willy nilly do multiple daily coffee enemas without replacing the electrolytes with the fresh pressed juices they very easily could run into trouble. Even in GERSON they have you take extra potassium. GERSON recommends 3 juices for every enema. The drug is called Stimate. It’s a blood clotting drug.

He had me take a particular Himalayan pink salt that looked brownish. I was better in 3-4 days. I've done the gerson protocol yrs ago but he still wants me to continue the enemas 2x per wk and whenever I have any pain. Sometimes I think it may be the enemas stripping my body of nutrients. I now take a pre and a pro biotic and feel the difference.

    Hi Susan, I watched this video when it first came out. Little did I know I would be going through something similar very soon after watching. I've been very weak, mentally drained and breathless whenever I stand for any length of time. I had a major heart attack in February of this year. Very minimal damage to my heart muscle. I've eaten whole food plant based for about 3 years, no oil, low sodium. My cardiologist and PC doctor have both tried various things including lowering dosages of the medications but my sodium level remains very low. If I increase sodium I retain lots of fluid even drinking more liquids. That's a real concern. Since I'm medication sensitive, and a platelet blood thinner is the only new medication, I have felt this is the cause of my low sodium level. Any advice? I realize you're not a physician, so suggestion will be appreciated if you are comfortable making any.
    Thanks!

      Debbie Bish I’m sorry you’re experiencing this, I know how it feels. The doctors don’t really have recommendations and I go between sodium and no sodium for the same reasons you do. I got a hair analysis done before the surprise hospital stay and when I got the results they showed low electrolytes in my tissues which is different than the blood. I am approaching this spiritually and several times a day stop and remind myself of God’s love for me and repent of any fear or doubt. Someone told me this is how God healed her of low sodium. I will get a new hair test done in a few months for comparison.
      I know Dr Esselstyne answers questions when emailed. You can go to his website and email him your situation, he will get back to you. I’d be curious as to what he says. Let me know how you make out. God bless.

      Thanks for your understanding. My doctors haven't been thrilled that I'm WFPB. They have suggested that I eat more sodium, drink more fluids. This is not working for me, retaining fluid I feel awful. I don't like salt, feel awful when I consume excessive amounts. Writing an email to Dr. Esselstyn sounds hopeful. I'm going to contact him. I am a believer and followwe of Jesus. I know God has been with me, I've felt His presence. I was doing so well working my way to good health and want to get back on that journey. I have told God that I trust Him, I'm resting in Him waiting for answers. I'll do my part and send out that email. Thank you Susan, I'll let you know what happens. God bless.

      I would go to someone who specializes in Addison’s disease because you could have that. They need to check your acth and cortisol. When you have dental work the pain killer has Adrenalin in it and someone with a problem making their own cortisol can have a severe response to dental surgery. Could be a benign tumor in pituitary or adrenal cortex malfunction.

    • @susanresig8452

      dixi1951 At this point we believe it was a reaction to the blood clotting drug. It caused a severe dehydration and loss of electrolytes.

  • @johnwhite5198

    Glad you are OK. Best wishes from UK. I think this was in some way related to the earlier tooth trauma. Either through a sepsisy type event or a reaction to some of the medications you were reliant on at the time.
    But let me say the electrolyte situation is serious. I lost a good friend 4 years ago who had several issues with poor control of electrolytes. She was battling stage 4 cancer. Not on the Gerson therapy but eating organic and I believe vegan.
    Do some research to help you identify what may have caused this issue in you with an intention of stopping any repeats.It does not mean you will follow the same route but use your time to learn what might have caused it. Have you had hot weather recently and possibly lost salt through perspiration.
    Good luck with your research and stay well.

    • @susanresig8452
      @susanresig8452  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was caused by the blood clotting meds but I am doing further research and addressing other underlying conditions.

      @@susanresig8452 They normally stop the blood clotting meds before any kind of procedure or at least check the inr.
      I had a massive gastric bleed when on blood clotting meds.i had been ok for years prior to that but have been off the clotting meds since. I think sometimes a high veg diet can be dangerous with blood clotting meds cos the veg diet also helps to prevent clotting.
      Anyway it wasn't your time. Hope you are feeling better now. Best wishes,

    Man, Gerson's detox is amazing 👏 BUT, the whole protocol can be very damaging long term. I followed your channel just for recipes back in the day, but BUT man, lots of science out there contradictory. A Dutch test will let you know if you in adrenal fatigue or not. GI mapping will let you know condition of your gut including parasite/bacterial overgrowth. Hair analysis will let you know what condition your heavy metal/food sensitivity are. You think you have correct 🤔 as I did, till I got into HARD DIAGNOSTICS. "My people perish due to lack of knowledge. " I disagree. We perish because of incorrect and incomplete knowledge. Even still, some refuse or just are so biased and pigeonholed in our paradigm we can see 👀. Glad you are home and good luck to you 😊 💯💖💖💖

      Thank you, you are correct Gerson is not a lifestyle. I left Gerson almost 3 years ago. I continue to find my way towards greater health. I can honestly say though if it wasn’t for Gerson I wouldn’t be here today. I’m here for people who want the Gerson Therapy and Jesus for their ultimate healing; it’s their choice.
