Marc, excellent job. It may take me a few days to watch all of it. But from what I saw, this 24 hour event was packed full of outstanding information. Great event
Such a great job with MarcNA, Marc and those that helped you!! Thank you so much for putting it on! Really fun idea to do it over 24 hours like that, excellent speakers, and so well done! Ya'll must have been exhausted by the end, but you couldn't even tell!!
Dennis is a god! His content is so awesome and a huge inspiration. Going sexual is my biggest fear because I'm not always with my tank but it might be a false fear if I keep up with nutrients from what I've gathered. Thank you Dennis again for the info and Marc for the awesome series.
🙏 Thank you for watching! And yes giving them a surplus of nutrients really helps minimize macros going sexual. I don’t want to jinx myself (tho I probably just did) but it hasn’t been an issue for me since i starting dosing and making sure there’s a surplus of nutrients for the macros.
Yayyyy @tigahboy!!! Great presentation! Sorry I missed the livestream; had to get some shuteye, but glad your session was recorded!! Shoot... I didn't think the botryocladia (red grape algae) would spread through the tank like you mentioned in the beginning... I have some in my tank... I need to decide whether to keep it or not. Do you think it went sexual, or do you think it was because the bubbles came off in the beginning and settled elsewhere and sprouted? Also, what PAR meter do you use, and do you recommend it?
Definitely possible, but not common (only happened once for me out of many macroalgae tanks). So I wouldn't worry too much. It could've have started for me b/c of the initial release of bubbles and spores inside the bubbles or also the spores could've come with the LR or something else. I use the Apogee PAR meter (MQ-510), and it's pretty easy to use (though this is my first PAR meter). And thanks for tuning in!
