    We can also agree that some of the reasons why slavery was favored to be abolished in the United States at that given time. Those in the north wanted to go away. Because they were jealous of those in the south, who were getting “free labor“. Those in the southdidn’t want to give it up for the exact same reason. They were getting “free labor”

      The reason for doing things at that time was freedom and money for white men even white women at that were subservient to their husbands IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN THE BLACK MAN for the little time he was allowed to use it was given the right to vote before white women

    20:27 what MLK Jr said wasn't him creating the notion. Even he knew that the founders knew they could not force the issue of emancipation in the late 1700s because back then it would fly like a lead balloon. He also knew they wrote the founding of the country as such that how it was wrote would at some point later become reality. He's simply pointing out those things that go back to the late 1700s early 1800s.
    The way you talk about it.. it's almost like you think/feel that the founders could have abolished slavery in it's entirety upon the founding of the country. Please do keep feelings out of educational content :P and no I'm not advocating for slavery.. just saying FACTS should be all that are included in educational content, not opinions, not feelings. If you would like to put out your opinion do feel free to make a video that includes in its title and description that it is an opinion video.

    Just remember that certain things done at certain times may have been OK. Just like things we do today we could fast-forward 100+ years and they could look at our doing as being just as bad as slavery. Make sure you tell all of the history. Including how Every country had slaves. How even to this day tribes in Africa enslave other tribes in Africa.
    Also, make sure you let people know that they very first person that was documented to own a slave was actually a black person. He actually owned a black slave. Not just one. But many. Even the Native Americans once they captured both white and Black people. They took the women and made them their wives. And they enslaved the men of all race in color.
    I’m not saying that it was a good or correct part of our past.but those in glass houses, shall not throw stones.

    3/5 clause / a political tool for a tax law from the 1700?

  • @faye2899
    @faye2899 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    "Roger Sherman is responsible for imposing the political interpretation of the 3/5 clause" which meant in his opinion including those whom he represents wanted slavery too continue as a means of supporting their own agenda?

    And it is funny that we allow things to be OK if it supports our view or our opinion. For example. Martin Luther King Jr. actually cheated on his wife. If he was any other person. We all would have learned this in school. So remember that. This is a good example of making sure you do any and all research of what you learn about history.you will be very surprised that the storytellers said history could be, and may very well be as far-fetched as the different translations of the Bible. Oh, how I do like to know that my children are being taught to praise someone who cheated on his wife.

    The bible allowed slavery because the people at the time did not consider it to be immoral.
