I'm creating something much bigger with 44 teams. 2 conferences, 4 divisions. The 2 conferences aren't east and west anymore but the Canadian conference and the American conference. The divisions are Canadian East, Canadian West, American East, and American West. My teams are already created, and the uniforms are legit. I also, as of right now, am going through all the alumni teams and dropping all their best players and toughest players to free agency AND any players that aren't there, Bobby Orr, Bobby Hull, Pavel Bure, Dominik Hasek, Derek Boogaard (RIP) are just a few players from different teams I created that will all be late teens early 20's. I am also going to be doing a fantasy draft with all these created players, alumni players, and current players. I am currently working on Nashville's alumni roster. I'm going in alphabetical order, so I'm about halfway done. When I start the season, it will break down like this. I'll play the other 10 teams in my division 4 times each, the other 11 teams in my conference, 2 times each, and the other 22 teams in the other conference once each. That will be a total of 84 games. There will be no more wild card. It will be straight up top 4 teams from each division, playing the first 2 rounds in their own division, then a conference final, then the final. I will also be making every game worth 3 points. If you win in regulation, you get 3 points, overtime or shootout win is 2, losing in ot or a shootout is 1 point and no points for regulation losses. It's taken a while, but I'm getting closer but still have some work to do before starting. I'm very excited to start this franchise mode though.
