This run reminds me how sorely monster train is lacking in cards that buff the whole floor, instead of just one unit. It almost necessitates strategies that rely on only one single hyper-buffed offensive unit, which seems unfortunate given the game's tower-defense heritage.
The game already kind of struggles to justify playing multiple floors as-is, so I don't think we necessarily need more floor-wide effects. That said, I think a healthy diversity could be achieved. We do have stuff like Fledgling Imp, after all!
Now hear me out, what about triple lodesirens top floor ? Sure it's less immediate damage into the miniboss, but the extra like 8-9 saps would actually be a lot more damage in the pyre room. (the only real danger then is the spike dude)
I think Solgard adds a lot more value overall being able to hit minibosses for a massive chunk before they walk up. Plus, he's always playable on turn 1 and actually assembling the floor otherwise is pretty tricky. This run is strong enough that I think you could win both ways, though.
Glacial Seal Baby!
let us go baybeeeeeeeeee

Or buff on HP.
Sure you get armour, but razor needs hp

Great run. Are you looking forward to "As We Descend" by Box Dragon?
Hadn't heard of it before this moment, but it looks neat on a quick search!
Solguard equals mind flayer? just saying.
You know, I can see it kind of.
