Derby County League One runners up trophy lift - 27 April 2024

It was a fantastic day at Pride Park Stadium yesterday as @dcfcofficial clinched their return to the Championship by finishing as runners-up in League One, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Carlisle United.
I didn't record much during the afternoon, but I couldn't resist whipping the phone out for the trophy lift, which just topped off the celebrations perfectly in my opinion.
The scenes really were amazing, and will live long in the memories of all those who were present on a great day in the long and proud history of Derby County Football Club.

It is a bit sad you get a runners up trophy (as a Derby fan here) 😂 we just wanted an automatic promotion as weve had so many near misses since 2006/07 three playoff finals, the absolute sickener in 2014, the Villa final, then everything that came after 2019 until now, even getting done for 6th final day last season. Portsmouth were deserved champions and only they should get a winners trophy. Playoff final winners shouldn't even get one in my opinion.

And your poxy club celebrated NOT being as big as Derby…never have been never will be and it’s took you years to get out of league 1…yet after everything we’ve been thru recently it took us 2 seasons with a team bunged together for free….mousinho has worked wonders for you but don’t hate on a club that’s bigger than you, cus it makes you look like a right sausage 😘
