It depends on how you view fighting games. 2D fighters maximize combos on land and especially mid-air which creates such a hype community. But me, as a Tekken player, I prefer 3D movement that allows me to actually strategize about things.

The art for most of the characters are kinda meh. The game is neat but the Gems system kinda divided a part of the playerbase

It's easier for a 3D fighter player to play a 2D fighting game than vice versa.
I think 2d fighters aren't as good as 3D ones tbh tekken is a much better game than Street fighter
