I havé admired you so much and you were the inspiration for my Camino Frances which gave me so much confidence and courage……, while many relatives instill fears and doubts in my aspirations on the Camino…I say Efren I take several satisfying deep breath and tears of joy rekindling my 1 enjoyable fulfilling Camino » Marvelous way to walk , and walking away from stressed city life !!! Thankyou 4 yr beautiful Camino videos👍👍👍🤗🧡🧡, yr sweet humour and many essential tips🙏😊
I don't understand how you can't stop and stay in each of those places for a day or two, maybe even three. I think it would take me 6 months to do the camino del norte. Absolutely breathtaking. So much to see.
@@brianduffy6154 I did the Camino Frances and you do get into a walking rhythm. But, even on rest days, in bigger cities, there was a lot to see and a lot of walking to do.
This episode contains some of your best photography ever. Loved all your vlogs and this series so far is no exception. Thanks for sharing with all of us currently stuck at home!
hola I have done12 Caminos and the Norte will my 13 th, have done it before in 2019 did part of and will continue again in May from Bilboa. My experience in doing the Camino is to start at daylight and by 2:00-2:30 stop settle in an Albergue/hostel/pension and do your wash and in an hour the hot sun in Spain dries them.
One of the most spectacular walks I ever did: Zumaia - Deba but I kept following the costal route after the picknickplace. Thanks for letting me revive my memories!
In 2018 when I was in Zarautz everything was booked. I found a great place in Askizu, just outside of Getaria. Nice room which I shared with two friends. Great evening meal was served. Just loved the train station hostel in Deba. The Norte seems to be the best camino ever. Great memories.
Very nice, thank you! Thnx also for mentioning the Game of Thrones reference. Yes, I recognized it. It's when John Snow arrived on the island of Dragonstone. It looks like I'm favoring the Norte route! It's more "wild", which I like. I don't like the Frances, since there's too many ppl. Btw if I only had 2 weeks for the Norte, where could I start? (end will be SDC) Cheers & buen camino!
Hola, Efren! I've been binge watching your adventures during this confinement and reliving my Camino memories, as well. Thank you so much for allowing all of us to come along on your journeys! You, my friend are a legit rock star!
Thank you for this amazing quality videos and carrying all this extra gear weight. It is really rare to see Camino shoot like this and that makes your videos different and more enjoyable :)
Wonderful trip and video Efrén👍 I know this part of the Basque Country very well and it brings many lovely memories to life. Perfect during this lockdown in Ireland. Mil esker!
On my del Norte, this was the second hardest day.....it was so tough that, at the end, I bailed out and walked the last few kilometres on the main coastal road in. Lovely town, it was Friday night so the locals really new how to party!
So being in Lockdown and stuck at home this is really exiting to see; especially all the drone footage that you’re able to show awesome! ¡Buen Camino amigo! 👣🍷👍😎
I'm about to become a member of your page. Just love all your drone footage and I will be walking camino del Norte hopefully this year! Cuanto te pesa tu mochila!? Y como aguantas caminar tanto?😁
Thank you so much Martha. On this trip I had a backpack that weight 25 pounds. But half of that weight was my vlogging kit. I've walked everywhere all my life. You might say I've been practicing since day one.
Following this journey. Trying to decide Portugues Costal o el Norte. I did the Frances last summer and loved it. Love all your videos and adventures. 😊 Your cinematography is spectacular. 👏👏
Thank you very much! The Camino del Norte and the Portuguese are two different animals. The Portuguese on the coast is flat until you reach Galicia, whereas the Camino del Norte includes some challenging terrain, particularly in the first week. The total duration of the Portuguese is typically around 12 days, while the Camino del Norte takes around a month to complete. Additionally, it's worth noting that you can also connect with the Camino Primitivo route just before Gijon, which will take you back to the mountains.
@Efrén you're right, two different caminos. I only have 20-22 days this time, which is what's got me thinking the portuguese is best; but the views on the Norte has me double thinking it.
Hahahahaha Not even close Efren. Those cliffs are just some sediments layers formed centuries ago. And I think that due to some ground movement they turned into a vertical plane. Yo hice el verano pasado la ruta de Deba a Zumaia por la costa. No es la misma ruta que sigue el camino pero habrias disfrutado de mas vistas costeras y alguna que otra playa salvaje.
Love love love the views Efren some of the trails remind me on SJDP to Roncesvalles. Looking forward to doing this next year. Wait you did this March 28 last year? OMG I was in Galicia around that time making my way to Santiago!
Hi Efron, can you please , let me know, if possible the GR number you took from the grater over the cliffs that eventually ended back on the camino. Would be a great help. Thanks Efron.
Hi Sara, I don't remember this was three years ago. I knew the direction I needed to go and followed the arrows I found in the area. It's not far and I don't think you have a choice but to follow the trail that starts at the end of the cliff where I'm standing on the thumbnail.
My God that beach is incredible. If that person never told you about it would a pilgrim be passing near it on the way anyway? How far off the beaten track is it? Great, great video man.
thank you Daniel. yes I was very lucky the old timer told me about it. The camino doesn't go anywhere near it but the two routes do join down the line.
Hey I’m planning to do either the via del plata or the via del Norte this summer. Which do you recommend? I like hot temperatures and hate the rain and cold and am religious? Love your work.
Efren, this was last year? I can't imagine being able to continue on the Camino with the whole covid-19 thing now. Spain is pretty much shut down. Another amazing vlog today - spectacular!

Check out the via podiensis in France or the via francigena in Italy from lucca to Rome
@Efrén I will do that. Thanks for all your recommendations. Buen camino!
Efren. We are planning on walking the norte this Autumn. Is it an insta 360 x3 you are using? Farewell.
Best of luck. Yes, insta360 one X2 at the time, but you can get the latest version. Buen camino.

okay, I have found it, called route GR-121 and it is possible to go all the way to Deba along it
Buen camino
Just wondering when you did this Camino?

I'm doing the via de la plata in March. Ask me again in May. But I do think del Norte is way more beautiful.
