    heyy...you might already know this, but here's a tip to everyone for the last question, to find the angle of the exterior angle, it'll just be the sum of the opposite 2 interior angles...so here 20+125=145 and all those steps were not actually required...and also thank you so much for video, i actually saved a lot of time for the highest common factor question

    • @wamyy5
      @wamyy5  ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Notes I took! 📝
    -For GCF, use the L method of finding common factors and dividing them. The multiply together all the numbers and that is your answer!
    -Special right triangles have all sides of whole numbers no rad
    -Special right triangles: 3-4-5 and 5-12-13 and 7-24-25 and 9-40-41
    -Remember, the last 2 numbers of the special right triangle are always 1 apart!
    -How to find special right triangle? Square the smallest number. Then divide it by 2 and it should be a decimal point (ex: 4.5) you will then want to go to the nearest whole numbers on either side of that number. (ex: 4, 5)
    -Problems on the SAT/ACT don't take long to solve, so if you see an absurd number like 117, there is almost always some trick to solve it hastily.
    -Make tables
    -Simplify as much as you can and leave calculations till the end!
    Good luck to the people reading this, I hope you get a perfect ACT/SAT score!

    I really enjoyed your special right angles method and I was curious to see if it works for all odd numbers so I tried it out with 11 and 13.
    11 : 121 -> 60.5 -> 60 and 61
    Therefore 11 - 60 - 61
    This Holds true for every odd number
    Thanks a million 😁
    Also for the Problem all the way at the end. Is it not quicker to use the rule ext angles of triangles and take 125 + 20 straight away

    • @emileepini2311
      @emileepini2311 ปีที่แล้ว

      It probably just depends on what you’re used to. Learning a new way to do something will take you longer at first because you must learn the new way. If you practice it, it will likely take you much less time than the way that you’re used to. Im guessing that you’re only faster at doing it the other way because you’ve practiced it a ton with your math homework or whatever. But if you practice Amy’s way as much as you did the old way, you’ll likely be faster with Amy’s way. Just a hunch. I could be wrong.
