Like you, I can't talk about my mom (whom I lost 5 yrs ago) without tearing up or just bursting into tears. As an only child she was my EVERYTHING. Holiday season is especially hard. When making memories with my kids now, she's still with me in those moments...reliving the memories of a beautiful childhood. Sending you hugs & kisses.💕

The stories and happy times are the things that will live with us and our families forever. Thinking of you and hoping that you and your family have a magical Christmas season! I had to edit this comment to tell you that I went to the DT today and they were selling individual Little Debbie tree cakes! I bought a few and ate one in the car. My mother dies in January and I'm now facing my first Christmas without her and that is just the kind of thing she'd have done. She loved celebrating all the holidays and my brother and I (in our 50s) always had gifts from Santa.
