@kid kid it was a wordplay on resin, as it’s a mechanic in game but resin was also used to make this sword, as it’s a liquid (maybe).

I mean, the amount of hard work it would cost to make such a huge weapon as a genshin's claymore in real life would be enormous, it's comprehensive that the creator made a smaller version
It's too small to be a claymore maybe that's why people think it's the skyward blade I thought that too until I saw the finish product then I realized it's actually pride
just prepping for a chibi claymore character lol
people keep talking about how it looks more like skyward blade than skyward pride, but i really hope people realize how much material that would need and how unbalanced and fragile the sword would be
epoxy resin is much stronger than something like polyester resin, but i guarantee it would barely be able to support itself if it was in-game sized
I know right. It's massive already... Not everything has to be 1:1 to be cool.....
There really should've been some sort of support embedded inside the resin though. As in, the handle should've extended pretty much all the way to that green/blue painted bit. Of course, the support would bend around that hole so it doesn't interfere with accuracy. But having a support inside for the resin to hang on to, rather than all of it hanging off that one dinky screw point, would be far better. Whether the sword is made bigger or not.
Yup! To be fair, most "greatswords" IRL were smaller or at least lighter than the ones use in-game, so if one were going for a cosplay with more realistic proportions instead of exaggerated ones, something like this (perhaps a bit bigger) could be totally fine!

Ah yes the resin sword, you get 10 hits daily and every 10th attack has a chance to either buff a character’s defence or attack. (99% defence, 1% attack)

The "Sword" That you made is actually a Claymore called the "Skyward Pride"
Claymores are Giant Swords wielded by Claymore Users, Like Diluc in the Scene where you showed it

Nice, try adding a defuser to the LEDs so they don't show. It also gives the color a polished look. Maybe for the next one.
i was thinking same thing, defusers are fairly simple to put in but will make leds looks so much better

you could have cut a lot of sanding time down with a 3D printed mold and spray release.

Or use the craft to make a mold just in case they'd want to create it again
these epoxy resin is better to shaped after rather than shaped at the first place, they need to make it sharper and better looking, so they polished it even better
almost every resin video shows the polishing, so yeah the better you know
and also, u need silicone to make the base of the molds, it would not be truly straight plus u need to scoop it up with joint knife.

Only issue with this is the size. You tired to make the claymore, Skyward Pride, but because you made it half of the size, it looks more like the normal sword, Skyward Blade. Only way you could really tell it's Pride is the signature split down the middle. Maybe a little more patience on the final painting could have done it more justice as well.

Y'all need to fucking realize that not everything can have a 1:1 scaling. This is fucking real life not a weird ass anime game where sizes dont make that much sense. If he'd make it bigger it would be hella impractical and hella expensive. For real life this one is already pretty big.

Nice! Can you make the swords from Sword Art Online? the Elucidator, the Night Sky Sword, and Fragrant Olive sword. And also, have you thought of adding a long metal rod to act as an inner support for the resin-made swords like a golf club when making prop swords out of resin? I think adding a metal rod inside the resin blade itself will make it slightly durable and probably won't break easy or something.
