I just bought more silver today! And my daughter, who is 16 and has her first job, bought some silver from JM Bullion and it arrived today. She was so excited!!! So now I have gotten my husband AND my kids hooked on silver! My son has two Maple Leafs and is wanting more silver also. Silver is fun. It makes a great hobby as well as an investment and hedge against inflation.
I have a feeling i'm gonna be a SAVER for a few years until i get that 'Foundation Stack' to a size i feel would be respectable. Did you know that a pack a day smoker spends just just under the cost of three 100oz bars of silver per year? To start, that's definitely the goal. SAVE that equivalent i spent last year on cigarettes in Silver. Really should help me save. I don't miss cigarettes at all.
Woot!! I hope you never go back to those cancer stix. I quit 5 years ago this July. A pack a day. Thats almost 36000 cigarettes i havent smoked and something like 1800 packs. At a very modest est of 6$ per pack. 10800.00 Thats a stack if ive ever heard of one!! Indont buy silver with all my saved money from quitting but i do some. Its growing. Slow and steady for this race
Cigarettes would be one hell of a tradable commodity in a zombie apocalypse though. They stale pretty quickly though but a smoker would rather be eaten by a zombie than not have smokes.
Definitely a saver. Stacking has totally changed the way I look at my finances too. Once I get a solid stack I’ll be more inclined to sell a bit off and/or convert to gold. But yeah I’m hooked, I think I’ll always keep a little silver around if I can.
Ya i'm just about to start myself too. All debts are paid and some expendable monies coming up due to how busy work has been. Gonna be a fun to build a physical savings account.
@@maplehedgehog789 yeah i agree... only debt i have is my house. but ive been putting the majority of my expendable monies into crypto but figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to hold some silver as well.
Hey Baggins. I actually made a Stacking 101 video yesterday, edited it today, but on all of those five items, summed up in 1 video, lol. I’m probably posting it tomorrow...pls stand by 👍🏻 Oh and I was glad I caught you on Sal’s livestream tonight- was a lot of fun. Yankee had me doing a Chewbacca roar.....the things I’ll do for attention 😜👍🏻
Hi from the 🇬🇧 I have just started looking at silver. Really enjoyed your video. Subbed. My first purchase will be tomorrow. Starting with some britanias to build up my stack.
I buy silver as a 'savings' and a hedge. I focus on ASE's, Minted silver rounds (Sunshine Minting silver eagles,, Golden State Mint, Silver Towne, HM Buffaloes. i buy constitutional silver. i also buy maples, Libertads. Next I buy maybe 5 Britannia yearly..as well as Kooks and Panda up to 10 (if I like the design) I also buy certain collectible rounds too like The Horseman series, and Provident release series) I like the Queens Beasts too, (And when at a good price, Engelhards, Johnson Matthey)
You can accumulate large amount of silver over the years. Just buying 20oz per month your stacking 240oz a year and in 10 years that’s 2,400oz!!! Slow and steady wins the race!
New sub and thanks for the breakdown. I only recently started buying silver and consider myself a "blend" of what you outlined; silver saver, silver prepper, silver investor. I'd be curious to hear your and others opinion on this topic: some experienced silver stackers say that beginners should simply focus on bulk/generic silver initially and seek out the higher premium silver after they built whatever they consider their silver base.
I stack silver because i'm my own bank. I like being paid in real money, but I do wielding on the side and glasswork. Got a good community of people around me.
Buying silver and gold to diversify my investments and holdings (cash, stocks, GICs, crypto, metals, etc). Also as a store of wealth, and to have an alternate to the fiat currency or in a SHTF moment. Plus as a hedge, especially the gold, against inflation. 3 silver coins have been for the look, they looked cool. The rest is strictly best value I could get when I bought.
The example I used to my sons is “put $1000 in a bedside drawer back in 1950, and out $1000 worth of silver in the other drawer at the same time”....”fast forward to today, and the same $1000 cash buys WAY less than it did in 1950, but the $1000 worth of silver would have increased in dollar amount and therefore should in theory buy approx the same amount today. The bad part is that silver, in todays current market, is only about 2.25-2.5 times higher than it was in 1950. So while it outperforms the dollar, it certainly isnt where it should be. I realize that people spout off that silver should be $100 plus dollars per oz. My personal opinion is that it would more realistically be closer to $50-60 per oz. Either way it is WAY behind
Saving some in silver gold and other areas is key, DIVERSITY Brotha! My CD's pay way better than silver right now. All the eggs in one basket makes a nasty omelet! It's a Marathon not a Sprint, you should do a video on buying what you can afford and not trying to keep pace with the crowd!
A random stick came in the mail from u. I been having trouble keeping up with youtube as of late but i wanted to say thank you. It totally made my day bro! #freedbaggins
@@SilverDragons47 do it! the topic is a great one as most people are so diversified that an easy sale even close to their cost would be impossible... The case for being deep one type is a strong one!
I'm definitely a mix Stacker. I stack gold and silver for savings/Investment, and for when/if the economy collapses. Have a great day Sir Baggins, Dirt Dragon out 🐉✌😁
Can anyone help me to find a good seller of silver for a good price? Right now I’m buying from Us Money reserve but I feel their prices are a little high and there is not much variety for silver... any recommendations?

Hey Baggins, possibly you covered this in the past, but I sell silver at a loss can I reap a tax advantage on the loss. Or is this something that is More work that the effort. Or is it best to keep the I R S out of my PM buying and selling?
Chuck’n Plata Great question!!! off the record I would say first of all don’t sell at a loss and just hold it unless it’s an emergency but always pay cash and keep everyone out of it. I don’t want the IRS knowing I have PMs 🔥🐉
I have to disagree with keeping your whole stack at home!!!!!! Not too smart because if there's a home invasion and they steal your stack where do you stand then???? Yes stack but definitely spread it out in a couple of different locations. If you can't/don't want to then place it in different hidding spots around the house just in case😉
Silver will go up 2020 , Kato agreement set out that all countries had to have 20% green energy in their country and as UK we don't ,so UK will be fined big time like most countries in Europe and will have to go back into solar energy that needs silver, Asia ie China are investing big money in solar and some states in USA too so I can see a massive demand for it . Not saying it will but let's see , China and USA will play big part in the silver price
Good video, but my categories are different. I would put Silver Stacker as a category all its own. Those are people who are stacking for weight and could encompass the so-called "Silver Prepper", "Silver Investor", and "Silver Saver". The other categories would be a Silver Collector or someone purchases low-mintage, higher premium, and/or numismatic Silver for its collector rather than Silver value. And finally, you have the Silver Flipper, which I'm loathed to include at all. I think it just hits me the wrong way because I feel like you're gaming the system or making money illicitly based upon the ignorance of other people. In short, I don't like the idea that you're taking advantage of people's ignorance to make money for yourself, so I don't like the idea of Silver flipping. Having said all of that, it's just a minor difference of opinion. It's a good video, and hopefully it will help clarify for people just where they fit in the various categories. I would be a Silver Stacker / Prepper / Investor / Saver, but like I said...
