You're welcome! I'll be back as soon as I get the new studio space set up. I've been thinking about posting a video or 2 of the process once there is more to show. The new space will be more purpose built for video as well as sound so that will help me make better videos faster. Thanks again! I'll be back!
Thank you! I really hope to be back with a cool new studio as soon as things calm down. Kids are graduating this week and we will moving over the summer. I didn't think I'd be able to continue with any decent content for awhile underthr circumstances. I love making the videos and can't wait to get back into the studio!
Thank you! I hope to be able to make videos again one day. The movie will be complete in a few weeks and then there will be videos about putting the new space together.
Thanks for the consistent quality content, Grady. Plus taking the time to reply to comments - that shows your genuineness. All the very best with the packing and moving. I've saved your Reverb store. We'll be here when you get back. Cheers, Dave.
Hey Grady, I just found your channel a few days ago when I was researching the Tascam m-35. Thank you so much for your wealth of knowledge, I just read in a previous comment that your new studio will be bigger, and better than ever! Your channel has quickly become one of my favorite channels on TH-cam. Whatever the new studio turns out to be, you deserve it dude. Your content is some of the most genuine on the internet. I haven't been here long but I can't wait for you to come back dude. Be safe, and see you soon!
Thanks so much! The move is finally happening this week and then I'll start the process of putting the studio back together. I'm really glad the videos have been helpful. They took a lot of time and hard work to make them all. I hope to continue with new videos soon.
GRADY! DUDE! Tell me it ain't so... As you know I love your channel. I look forward to every new video because I learn from each one! I don't care if your new setup is in a closet, it's YOU that makes the content worth-wild. Its easy to see this is difficult for you, just know you have many fans and if I may speak for us... we'll be waiting! God's Speed G!
Thank you! I really appreciate that. Hopefully I will be able to find another space and get back to making videos before too long. It's looking like it might be in the fall, but I am not sure yet as it's an entire long process. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your hard work. I really hope you come back here in some capacity because the amount of good advice you give out on TH-cam is immense and will be greatly missed.
Your TH-cam channel stands out by offering reviews that others rarely cover, which is highly appreciated. Best of luck with your move and the next exciting chapter!
Thank you! That's what I was hoping to do when I started the channel. I also shied away from too much advertising and sponsorships. I wanted to create a real community of people who like analog gear and not just another channel featuring the latest plugin or another mixing trick though I have done a little of that. Thanks again! I hope to be back before long. I'm currently shopping for new spaces. One is very large and looks promising but there are a lot of things to consider.
I moved at the end of summer after a lot of work getting the gear ready to move etc. I have a new place now and will be building a new studio! It's going to take time but I will be making some videos to document the process soon. New studio won't be upstairs so that should help with the AC and electric bills.
Luckily I just found your channel, so I can watch all your older content for the first time during your hiatus. Please take care of your back during the move.
Thank you! I am disappointed but also excited about the possibilities. I've really enjoyed making all of the videos on this channel and I hope to see it continue some day soon. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for watching! I have really enjoyed making all the videos and taLking about analog gear with viewers over the last 5 years. I'm was disappointed and concerned at first but things are looking good so hopefully I will be able to move and come back to making videos again in the near future. I really appreciate everyone's support while I'm unable to make new content.
@@2322Hoover thank you! I am really hoping I can get a new space for my studio and continue soon. I love making the videos and helping people with their analog gear.
Best wishes Grady. You have saved me tons of frustration and hours of scouring the internet with your videos! Hopefully see you back on youtube soon. All the best from the UK.
Hope yer not gone for long you were a lot of help for me when I first started and even now I go back to your vids if I’m having trouble..your a pretty good teacher don’t quit… If you went into more detail on vids like “Hybrid Mixing Tips etc “ you’d be a GREAT resource for newbies and intermediates..I know they take forever to make but in the future maybe think about re doing those vids with step by step details cause you were the only guy ( and believe me i looked ) that showed us what to do in a way we could understand.. Who knows , being the first to really do that yer channel could take off !
Thank you! I am working on the new studio and I hope to have it set up better for filming. I'm also working on ways to make videos more efficiently. I should have at least a few videos coming soon. For now, they will be about the new studio build but eventually I'll get back to more analog gear videos. Thank you so much for the comment. I really appreciate it.
Thanks so much! It's going to take some time to rethink my studio setup. Things went really well overall and the studio helped create a lot of music and videos. I hope to be back one day soon!
Good luck Grady! And thank you for your wonderful videos so far. I'm sure your 'new life' will inspire plenty of new creative output one way or another. Look forward to it.
I only recently discovered your channel while researching analogue gear, and found it to be both informative and refreshingly “adult” compared to so much of TH-cam’s content. I can say that your channel made the collection of nanoseconds I have spent watching TH-cam far more enjoyable! Hope to see you soon!
Thank you so much! I have been working really hard to pack and get ready for the move. It looks like I'll have plenty of space to build out another studio though that will take time. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for your amazing videos, Grady! I've gained tons of inspiration over the years by watching your videos. Wish you all the best and thanks!
Thanks so much! I just finished the last project in this studio before the move. Hopefully I'll be be able to start making a video here and there again soon.
Thank you Grady. As I said recently on another video-your channel is one of the very top and will continue to be a key reference I use and share in my learning. So many people into this stuff lose me because they seem more interested in conveying to the world how great they are and how dumb everyone else. You’ve got knowledge and skill (technical, curatorial) but your also personable. That goes a long way. All my best. I’ll keep an eye on yer Reverb…
Thank you so much for the kind words. I only hoped to document analog gear and offer some information to those that are just getting into recording. I also wanted to create a community that would help further interest in analog tools and techniques. I started making videos to share and loved making them so it turned into much more over the last 5 years. I hope to come back with new videos and music someday soon as I really do enjoy doing all of it.
Thanks so much for all the videos youve made, they were very much appreciated and helped me sort my brain as I got back into analog. Sorry to hear about all the problems, they always seem to hit at the same time, ive been right there with my studio. Good luck with the move, im sure music will pull you through somehow..
Greatly appreciate your time, effort, stress, headaches and woes that you've put into the making of these videos all in the name of helping Us out. Much continued success in all your endeavors and hopefully we will see you in no time soon. Be well.
Oh man this so so sad..I look at your videos all the time and you have been a great help with a lot of things even for us old pros.. We will miss you Grady..hope to see you soon and May God Bless.
Thanks so much! Things are going well and I'm in the moving and planning stages for a new studio. I probably need to make a follow-up video since I wasn't sure before what was going to happen. The new studio will be more. Purpose-built for video as well as sound. I'm really happy to be able to continue to make the same type of content with analog gear in a new space in the near future.
Hey Grady! I'm really sorry to hear this. I love your channel, and vids man! I hope you come back soon, and continue to keep the analog world alive. I wish you, and your family the best in the moving. Please keep us posted! Blessings to you, and yours always!
Thanks so much! It is just time for a change and hopefully I'll be able to rework the studio in a new location. Thanks again and check back from time to time. The move and everything should be over later this summer.
@@courtneydavidscott9906 I will be back. I moved and now I have to build new rooms for studio and filming. So I'm taking a long break and will be back.
I wasn't sure what was going to happen but things are looking good for a new new purpose-built Studio. I should be able to continue to make the same type of content with analog gear that this channel has become known for. I've always enjoyed making the videos and can't wait to continue in the new studio space. I'm thinking of going with a rustic vibe this time.
Bro! Hello! I am from Russia and have already moved to another country a year ago. Thanks to your videos I bought Tannoy Gold 7! Don't give up on your music and video activities!
Thank you! I'm trying to build a new studio and will hopefully be able to make more videos. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time because I have a full-time job as well as the TH-cam channel.
Thank you so much! I guess I really had no idea until now how much the videos connected with people. I loved making all of the videos and hope to do it again one day soon.
Thanks so much! It's going to take time to plan a new smaller space and then figure out what type of content is possible but I really enjoy making the videos and hope to continue the analog hybrid tradition one day soon.
Hey, Grady! I just discovered your channel today, Aug 13 2024m after watching 2 videos on the Allen & Heath Zed R16 mixer and I really liked them. So sorry to hear your downsizing. I wish you the best and hope you'll get back to making TH-cam video if and when that is the right thing for you. Blessings!
Thanks so much! It is looking like the new studio space will actually be better and I didn't sell much of my gear at all. The pont was to make moving easier. A lot of people misunderstood and thought I was losing my studio due to financial reasons but the studio and TH-cam are not my main source of income. The new space will take some time to build out but it's going to be larger and better than the old one. Thanks again!
@@TwinCreekAudio , all this is great news! Can't wait to see your videos when you return to making them, but until then I wish you all the best in building your new studio space!
Grady... I've only come across your channel in the last few months... your information was helpful and informative. As someone who mothballed my own studio, I can relate. Look forward to whatever you are able to share in the future , whenever that is Steve
Thanks so much! Things are looking good for a new studio space so I'm hoping the audience sticks around. The new space will be more purpose built for sound and video so hopefully the channel can continue to grow.
I'll be back when I have time to get the studio set up. The Mackie will be in studio B at the new studio as well as used for live recordings in the future so I am not selling it. Thanks so much and I'll be back late November with new videos.
Sad to hear that. Your videos were very helpful, when I bought my Topaz Project 8 and tried to undestand how it should be connected. Hope to see you soon on the fields of YT.
It's all good. Change isn't a bad thing and I'm just going to rethink my studio setup and see what kind of music and videos are possible in the future. I mainly have to take a break while I work a lot of things out. My circumstances are pretty good and I didn't lose a lot of money having my studio. It's more about the space and upkeep. Thanks so much for watching and hopefully you'll watch if and when I'm able to make new content.
Hey, good luck with your move. Stick with us and we'll stick with you. Will miss your content, and will be glad when you get back to it. Your vids in the future could be about downsizing and distilling down your equipment to give you what you really need. Best of luck and see you soon!
Thank you! Everything is going well and a great new studio space is coming! I may not have to downsize at all but I'm selling a few things to make the move easier.
I send well wishes to you! I was searching for reviews and test drives on an old Mackie 24.8 and found your channel. I like you no frills videos that give me an experience as if I had it in front of me. I’ll look at your other videos to keep your channel alive. Thanks!
Thank you so much! I really do hope the channel keeps going and I'm able to come back with new videos in the future. I don't know exactly what will happen yet but I'm going to try and keep a studio of some kind.
Hey Grady, I just subscribed. I've kinda been watching your channel for a while now and always enjoyed it. Sad that you need to slow it down, but HOPEFULLY you will come back soon with some new videos. You've inspired me to make my own hybrid mixing videos that I will release sometime in the near future... thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you! That's fantastic! There are not enough videos on the subject. Those have always been my most popular so it's a good topic for TH-cam. I plan to be back as soon as I can. I have a lot of work to do over the summer to get things moved and set back up. Thanks so much for your comment.
Thanks for the awesome content! Gonna miss your presence! It's sad to see anyone with good vibes leave the platform. All the very best to you! Hope to see you in the future! Cheers!
Thank you! I really wanted to have genuine channel and so there was less sponsorship or advertising than most. That was by choice and I probably would have made more money on TH-cam by trying more clock bait subjects etc but that just doesn't appeal to me. I wanted to do something real and I do hope continue once the move in complete. I have no intention of selling off everything or quitting TH-cam permanently. I just have some temporary setbacks due to changes in my life.
@@TwinCreekAudio Hey, I can't fault you for not wanting to go down the path regarding click bait. There's enough of that garbage out here, we don't need more. Having a successful YT channel has to be a hard game to play. But we all define success differently. As far as I'm concerned you are already winning. You have larger things on your plate and are doing the right thing for you, your family and your gear! I appreciate your passion for audio and I know that as a creative you will be inspired during this time. It seems like you basically need a bit of a reset. Again, wishing you all the best during the transition to a new environment. In the meantime I plan on reviewing all the content you have provide on your channel. Thanks for being a positive entity out here on the internet. I know it's not always easy but it's nice to have folks like you providing content that really offers something positive to the community. Cheers and all the best. See you in the future!
Thank you! Tell Brendan hello for me. I'm just downsizing a little and moving. Hopefully the new location will be good for new studio space. Plus, lightening the load a little will likely lead to different gear! lol! I'm keeping my tape machines and one of the consoles. I ended up with a lot of extra gear I got for videos. I've donated some and I'm selling off some to make moving easier but hopefully I'll be back. I love making the videos and helping keep analog alive.
Grady, I love your channel and the way you explain things to us in a way we understand. It's not always easy when your native language is Flemish 😅 I wish you all the best and do hope a solution will present itself very soon. I would love to see a video series where we see you build a complete new studio just like so many other studio owners do because this is very helpfull for our progression. I hope to see you soon on YT and cheers... again from Antwerp! Have a good one!
I hope to be back as soon as possible. I just know that it will take some time to get things accomplished and we have kids graduating and a lot of other things going right now so it's going to be a transition period. Hopefully I'll be back with a good new space!
Thank you! It is a sad time but it is also time for a change. I think the change will be good and hopefully I will be able to come back and make new videos once I get my studio situation settled again.
@@TwinCreekAudio Your videos are great guide for everyone who wants to start to produce music and have a feel that you are playing it in the same time. I started with Mackie Sr24 4, two stereo compresors and lexicon efect.... never had better results wiith my mixes
I'm really glad the videos helped. My main intention with the channel was to help people with their analog year which also helps keep analog alive. Thank you so much for watching! I'll be back in at all possible in the future.
Vintage analog gear is great, but it definetively requires some service skills. I luckily learned a lot from my father, working at his radio / tv repair workshop since I was 15 years old. It has saved me insanely amounts of money through the years. There is always something that breaks, but that's the way it goes with all this old equipment.
I enjoy restoring and cleaning up the gear. I don't enjoy HVAC and plumbing issues which are the main issues I've had here. I plan to keep a lot of my analog gear. I'm not sure if the new space will have room for live bands and drums though. It's cool your Dad helped you learn about audio. My Dad was a drummer in the 60s and got me into music. Then the sound guy for his band let me run the cassette desk to record some shows when I was 12. It's always interesting how we all ended up in the music and recording world.
I wish you the best of luck in the next phase of your life brother. I hope you’re able to get a new space for yourself as I totally know how it feels to have my own space to create. I look forward to you making some content in the future, also there’s no reason you can’t jump on with the cell phone and make a video about where you’re at, when you get settled a little bit. Just some simple update videos for the channel, and the subscribers!! Until next time, brother…..
Thank you! Things are looking good for a new studio space. I definitely plan on making videos about it as it looks like I will have to build it too! It should be a larger space as I'd really like to accommodate some larger groups and track bands live. Thanks again!
wow, crazy news but thats life.... - i seriously enjoyed all of the videos i've had the chance to watch from you. You always do an awesome job and i just hope you hold on to the "good stuff" (you know what i mean).. please don't sell off your good gear if you can manage to somehow hold on to it. It's good to have something to do that you enjoy as a hobby.. i think it's safe to say an "expensive hobby" but still, you'll appreciate having it around!! - i hope maybe this helps you to at least consider taking some of the stuff you really love along with you wherever you might land. - thank you again for all you've done for the youtube community! I know i'm not alone when i say, we all hope to see new vids from you in the near future :). - hang in there, Grady.
Thank so much! Everything will work out OK. I am not planning to sell all of the gear but I bought and traded off a lot of extra gear to make videos about. I won't be selling my tape machines or all of the consoles but I am getting rid of a lot of the extra gear that I haven't used much after making the videos about it. I'll do my best to regroup and come back with new videos as soon as I can. Thanks so much for your support over the years.
I'll be back as soon as I'm able. It's a really difficult transition and move I'm dealing with right now but I'll be back one day. I'm hoping to have an even better space for sound and filming too but it could take some time.
Good luck with moving, I’ll see a video popping up whenever you’re ready. I have an analog rig on three square meters with a 24 channel console and 40 HE rack space. So you can do a tiny studio if needed 😊
Thank you! I'm sure I'll have a space of some kind but it will likely be a smaller setup. Maybe I'll focus more on mixing since I'm not sure I'll have space for a drum and live room anymore. I will definitely be trying to come back with new videos as soon as it's possible. I'm already thinking of ideas about how to continue the channel. Thanks again!
I'm an analog guy living in a digital world. I have enjoyed watching your videos. I'm sorry how things have happened for you. We never know what the future holds.
Everything is OK. I'm just getting older and adjusted my life and studio to be easier to handle. I hope to come back and make new videos but it will depend on what kind of space I have in the future.
Just found your channel, subbed then came over to check out the other vid's, Its cool your not giving up youtube In the meantime at least I have plenty to catch up on in the meantime, I'm forward to your return already.
Thank you! I'll be back before too long. A new studio that's set up better for filming is in the works now. I guess I need to make a follow up video now that I know I'll be able to create the same type of content and keep the channel focused on the subject it's known for. I hope to add new things too! Thanks again!
Thank you! I'll be back as soon as I get things moved and figure out my new setup. I guess I could make some videos about different ways to set the studio up after the move. I have a lot of things to think about.
Sorry to see you go. Downsizing is certainly happening a lot these days. Hopefully, you'll end up somewhere and you'll be able to create another room you're comfortable in. Best wishes for the future.
Thank so much! I have a lot going on for the next several months with kids graduating, moving etc. I won't be selling all my gear but I'm going to downsize some to make the studio more workable. I have collected a lot of extra gear to make videos about. I hope to have a new space that's good for videos and time to start making new videos again sometime soon.
Thanks for watching! I'm going to try to rebuild and come back to making videos soon. Unfortunately, I don't know enough yet to say exactly what will happen but I'm going to try! Thanks again!
Is the Otar still available? I am looking to upgrading to 1” 16 tracks. Sad to see this video but have been in the same boat plenty of times. Hope all is well and thanks for the very informative video series. Thanks, cheers!
Thank you! I am not selling everything so the Otari is not for sale. I might sell it one day but it's going to the new studio so I can finish restoring it. I wouldn't want to sell a non working machine. I also have a Tascam MSR-16 but I'm planning to keep both of my tape machines and downsize the console though it's looking like I might keep it too. Thanks again!
Tannoys gone? Welcome to us, i gave up my studio too because of move to another country. I learned to work with small monitors and headphones. Already analog equipments expensive for me so i prefer to work on Pc, mix in the box.
I still have the Tannoys but I found that I prefer my old 1st Gen KRKs so the Tannoys are for sale on Reverb. They are great monitors but I used the KRKs for many years before that and they are more familiar and not worth as much. I'm hoping to have a decent space after the move but it will definitely be smaller. Your experience is very helpful to hear about though. I do enjoy headphones and the KRKs are better for a smaller space than the Tannoys.
I really love your videos and posts, and have been building my studio using much the same gear as you by sheer coincidence (Soundcraft Sapphyre, Soundtracs Topaz, Zed R16). Let me know if you ever want some mixes done for free - your music is great!
Thank you so much! You have an excellent selection of gear there. All three of those consoles are very impressive in features and sound. I have no idea how things are going to work out but things are looking better as of today. Hopefully I will be able to come back and produce new content in the near future. It was disappointing because I had just started work on the third Completists album with Heath and now finishing that will have to wait like everything else. I really appreciate the offer. Once I get everything settled, I'm sure to need some help and that would be really cool to see how someone else would mix something of mine. Thanks again!
Wow! Dude is that a SSL Consol behind you? I have some smaller scale SSL set up..that’s dated at this point..but will use it until it stops working..I am down sizing also trying to make my setup more simple and efficient..good luck with the move
Thank you! It's a Soundcraft Sapphyre. I might keep it for the next studio if there's enough space. It's similar to an SSL with the small fader and gates on every channel. It also has cool mix bus architecture that gives it a wide sound stage. No built in bus comp or anything cool like that but I'll be keeping a lot of my outboard gear too.
It's funny but I went digital for around 10 years after selling my MCI JH-16. Then I gradually came back to analog and hybrid methods like I've shown in all the videos. I actually plan to keep my tape machines and continue making music but I don't know whether the new space will be large enough for analog style videos and I probably don't record drums anymore. Maybe I'll just stick to analog and hybrid mixing? I'm really not sure yet but I'll be doing something with music and TH-cam again in the future.
Thank you! My wife is pretty cool and things are looking good for a new studio that's built better for video work. I hope to be back before long but there may be some videos about building the new studio before I get back to the analog gear videos.
Long post --- hopefully your move is as painless as possible. Yeah I have never had a large console setup but I am currently using "desk mounts, you know those clamp platforms that can swivel for laptops and keyboards and stuff,. I have a daw controller qcon pro g2 and an old danalog ddx3216 (only like 90-95db snr but good enough for my non pro analog line/mic stuff -- I have a few interfaces but my newest one is an antelope audio zen q (the zen quanta looks really cool too.) with afx2daw you can also use the line dsps as plugin fxs they recently had a deal on like 90 of their fxs with the device for 500USD so not a bad deal at all comes with a couple hi z and discreet preamp line/mic inputs very cool. Not the same as an analog console but for fader control that is like 24 fader channels and the ability to switch buses for more, the danalog has adat line out the zen q adat line in.. also have and extender that I havn't really used much just a cheap 16 bit mixing board that I see as more of a line extender if I ever need to feed not critical line data in or use for fx's loopback by patching out .. this and a mixtrack, akai fire flkey 49 pro akai mpd 16, and a couple keyobards provide a lot of controls and some other stuff but all this probably fits in the same space profile as a full console -- I am just a hobbiest with fl studio but I havn't outgrown it. I think when you are working with bands having an analog console can have its benefits but with a adat patch you can get like 12 channels off the zen q itself. IMO you can use something like a apollo 16 as line inputs or some type of more complex protools setup with a daw controller as long as you are willing to switch buses if you are working with more than 8 channels or 16 with the danalog you have more faders than fingers. That said a lot can fit into a dsp processor or studio grade gear like galaxy/orion/apollo etc.. the sky is the limit really. IMO its all about how many lines you want to control or record at the same time, otherwise a lot of console stuff can be done in the daw itself with a mouse. I have a hard time letting anything go I still have stuff from over 20 years ago and it still works.... usb interfaces often still can work fine if they have drivers. But this is for hobby stuff.... yes we are all getting older.. hopefully you can still have some fun with music and find that state that draws you into working with sound. Its good that everything is going to have a chance to be examined you know every now and then some maintenance can help find and sort out issues or try a new arrangement. Again I have never had a full size console / mixer so I can only imagine all the maintenance and cleaning and upkeep on things like caps and connections --- maybe when I have better knowledge of electronics and electrical repair .. for now I will stick to practicing in spice / live spice vst and making console circuits and emulating them into the daw with livespice and using dsp plugins for analog gear. Its sad this stuff is being lost if no one keeps it running, there are fewer and fewer original vintage consoles out there. Thanks again for sharing information on these systems.
Thanks for your comment. I like all kinds of setups. I usually work with mostly live instruments. I'm hoping to have space to track drums in the next space since I have a decent collection. I will definitely keep a lot analog gear. It's mainly the space that's changing and I'm selling some things to make moving easier. I might sell the big console but I'll always have some type of console as I learned that way and worked with consoles, tape and digital since the 1990s. I really enjoy all kinds of workflows and mostly worked in the box from 2008-2018. I still had a console then for monitoring etc but I decided to build up my hardware collection and go to a more hybrid approach as it gave me the results I was looking for and a workflow I was familiar and comfortable with.
I was wondering, do you have stems of some of your tracks you would upload for people to have fun mixing ? I'd love to run some material through my daw/units.
@@theCarouselPainter I have a lot of material I could use for that. I've thought about doing that before and may look into it after I finish moving and have time. Thanks so much for your interest!
I am not sure yet. I don't plan to sell all of my gear but I did accumulate a lot of extra from making the videos. I bought, sold and traded to make it happen and didn't have any paid sponsorhips. I hope to continue in the future in much the same way even though it can be challenging. I'm not sure whether I'm going to sell the big console until I know what my new space will look like and whether it will fit. If it is too large for the new space, I will probably sell it for a good price.
Awe man! I wish you well my friend. Thank you for taking my calls and all your help keep in touch my friend
You're welcome! I'll be back as soon as I get the new studio space set up. I've been thinking about posting a video or 2 of the process once there is more to show. The new space will be more purpose built for video as well as sound so that will help me make better videos faster. Thanks again! I'll be back!
Grady, you are one of the few channels I look forward to see new content on. I wish you the best in this journey and hope to see you soon buddy!
Thank you! I really hope to be back with a cool new studio as soon as things calm down. Kids are graduating this week and we will moving over the summer. I didn't think I'd be able to continue with any decent content for awhile underthr circumstances. I love making the videos and can't wait to get back into the studio!
I'm 67 and did the same thing 7 years ago. Best of luck with your next chapter, I really appreciate all the knowledge you've shared with us!!
Thank you! Things are going well and it looks like I'll be able to put together a better studio in the near future.
Thank you! I am working on moving and hope to set up a new space that is more conducive to filming.
Grady !!! Hopefully won't be too long before your back . We love your content !!!
Thank you! I just have to move and buying and selling houses etc takes awhile. It could be later this fall or spring before I have a place film again.
Sorry to hear your situation. Same AC problems and it sucks. Hope you'll be better
More than anything, Grady, you care!!! Such a valuable channel will, I'm sure, be kept alive by the people who value it so much. Thank you Grady.
Thank you! I am hoping to create a better space for sound and filming in the future. I really enjoy making the videos!
Hope yer not gone for long you were a lot of help for me when I first started and even now I go back to your vids if I’m having trouble..your a pretty good teacher don’t quit…
If you went into more detail on vids like “Hybrid Mixing Tips etc “ you’d be a GREAT resource for newbies and intermediates..I know they take forever to make but in the future maybe think about re doing those vids with step by step details cause you were the only guy ( and believe me i looked ) that showed us what to do in a way we could understand..
I wish you the best! Some changes came to us, for better times! Your channel is amazing, your vídeos...a very good material. Great hug!
Thank you! I am moving and keeping most of my gear. I hope to make more videos soon
Oh this is sad, enjoyed watching your videos. Please come back stronger.
Best of luck.
Thanks so much! It's going to take some time to rethink my studio setup. Things went really well overall and the studio helped create a lot of music and videos. I hope to be back one day soon!
@@TwinCreekAudio don’t be gone too long 🙂
Good luck Grady! And thank you for your wonderful videos so far. I'm sure your 'new life' will inspire plenty of new creative output one way or another. Look forward to it.
Thank you! Hopefully the next studio won't be on the second floor either. That was difficult moving equipment up the stairs.
Thanks for all your great content. Hope to see you back here again soon!
I've had a lot of fun making all the videos and I hope I can figure out a way to get setup again after the move.
Thank you and good luck, sir.
Thank you! I hope to be back one day soon!
@@TwinCreekAudio happy to say what is true 🙂 Also I’m enjoying your stuff on Bandcamp. You’ve got a great knack for hooks it seems 👍
Thanks for your time and effort. You've been an inspiration.
Thanks so much! I hope to find a new space and be back one day soon!
sorry to hear this. hopefully everything works out. im here for the analog setup. thanks bud.
Thank you! Hoping to be back making videos later this year after the move. I've made a lot of analog setup videos over the last 5 years.
Thanks so much for all the videos youve made, they were very much appreciated and helped me sort my brain as I got back into analog. Sorry to hear about all the problems, they always seem to hit at the same time, ive been right there with my studio. Good luck with the move, im sure music will pull you through somehow..
Thanks so much! I'm still working on the move. It's a process that takes awhile but I hope to be back soon!
Everything will be fine!!! I'm sure!!! Thank you!!
Thank you! Everything is going well so I hope to be back soon with a new studio!
Best of luck. I have a feeling we'll see you back. In the meantime, I hope you're channel keeps growing while you're away.
I hope so too. I have really enjoyed making the videos and would like to continue in the near future if possible.
Thanks for all the videos and best of wishes on your future plans.... I'll be back to watch plenty of your many great videos.
Thank you!
Thank you for all the videos. Hope your back soon!
Thank you! I am trying to get things moved so I can make more videos again but I am not sure what will happen exactly.
Good luck, hope you land somewhere wonderful for you and your family! Thanks for all the great videos.
Thank you so much! Everything is going well and it looks like I'll have a great new studio space sometime later this year.
Hope to see you post again sooner rather than later, Grady. Good luck with the move new studio set up. I'll keep an eye on you Reverb page!
It's going well and it looks like I'm going to have space to build a better studio than what I had. Thanks so much!
Greatly appreciate your time, effort, stress, headaches and woes that you've put into the making of these videos all in the name of helping Us out. Much continued success in all your endeavors and hopefully we will see you in no time soon. Be well.
Thank you! Hopefully it will just be a transition and things will go smoothly. I really love making the videos.
Sorry, will miss you. I'm a Fostex R8 / 450 guy too, as well as digital. Hope you and your inspiration come back sometime. Best to you and yours.
@@courtneydavidscott9906 I will be back. I moved and now I have to build new rooms for studio and filming. So I'm taking a long break and will be back.
Looking forward to hearing about your next adventure! Best wishes and thanks for all the great work you have done! Hopefully see you again soon
This too shall pass.
Hope you come back someday.
All the best.
I'll be back!
Bro!
Hope to see you soon. You teach me a lot!
Thank you! I'm glad the videos were helpful. I hope to be back one day soon! Thanks again!
all best. I've had several studios. they seem to happily return...
Hopefully it will happen soon. I'm ready to record and make more videos!
Thank you Sir. Hope to see you again. Some of your hybrid mixing video tutuorials were superb and meant a lot to me.
Thank you so much! I guess I really had no idea until now how much the videos connected with people. I loved making all of the videos and hope to do it again one day soon.
I have truly enjoyed your channel Grady! Happy trails to you and yours.
Thank you! I'll be back sometime soon. Setting up a new studio soon.
I appreciate all the videos! Good luck on the journey
Thanks so much! It's going to take time to plan a new smaller space and then figure out what type of content is possible but I really enjoy making the videos and hope to continue the analog hybrid tradition one day soon.
Thank You for sharing Knowledge! Wish you enjoy your life!😉
Thank you so much!
Look forward to whatever you are able to share in the future , whenever that is
Steve
Thanks so much! Things are looking good for a new studio space so I'm hoping the audience sticks around. The new space will be more purpose built for sound and video so hopefully the channel can continue to grow.
So sorry to see you go. You have such a great channel
Thank you! Hopefully I'll be able to come back with new videos before too long.
Dear Grady, don't give up. And please don't sell our beloved Mackie 8 bus. Cheers.
Really enjoyed your videos, hope to see back soon!
Thank you! I hope to be back soon.
Best of wishes to you, hope your transition will go as smooth as possible. thanks for interesting videos, hope to see you soon!
Thanks so much! I going to do my best to rethink my studio and make videos again one day soon.
I've followed your channel and have been a fan for a while. Brendan Rogers and I talk fondly of you often. I wish you and your family all the best.
It's not always easy when your native language is Flemish 😅
I wish you all the best and do hope a solution will present itself very soon.
I would love to see a video series where we see you build a complete new studio just like so many other studio owners do because this is very helpfull for our progression.
I hope to see you soon on YT and cheers... again from Antwerp!
Have a good one!
Thank you! I don't know what kind of space I will have next but I will definitely try to come back with new videos about the new setup. Thanks again!
Good luck with everything. 🤘

Really like your channel. Hope you are back at it soon.
I hope to be back as soon as possible. I just know that it will take some time to get things accomplished and we have kids graduating and a lot of other things going right now so it's going to be a transition period. Hopefully I'll be back with a good new space!
Sorry brother -- good luck in the future. Hang in there.
Thank you! It is a sad time but it is also time for a change. I think the change will be good and hopefully I will be able to come back and make new videos once I get my studio situation settled again.

Thank you! It's going to take a while but hopefully I'll be back before too long.
Helped me out heaps with the Topaz, cheers and best of luck in the next chapter
Hey friend...i hope everything is going well for you. Best wishes to you...
@@philipcarroll7151 thank you. Everything is going well. Moving is a lot of work and takes a lot of time.

You are the reason why I have a biiiiig analog console at home to mix my productions! Please come back! :(
I'll be back as soon as I'm able.

@@TwinCreekAudioWhat is the latest situation?
love this channels content. its been helpful and inspiring.
Thanks so much! I'm hoping to be back after the move and setup.
Thanks so much! I hope he back with new videos soon.
Saludos cordiales desde Uruguay, espero encuentres tu camino y nuevo lugar suerte 🎉🎉
Thank you, my friend! Very soon I will have a new studio space!
I love analog. I did look into going full digital, but in true Gen X fashion, I just can't, I know the difference...
New subscriber, thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for subscribing. That will really help while I'm in the process of figuring out what's next for my studio and channel.
How ya doin' Grady? Just checking in on you.
nice, you had a talk with the wife I see! ;) all the best love your channel

Thanks so much for your interest!
good luck!
Thank you! I'll be back soon!
Grazie.
Thank you so much! I love making videos. Hopefully I'll be back one day soon. Thanks again!
I'm sure your future is bright
I'm sure things will work out just fine. It's going to take some time so I had to take a break.
What is your plan for the Soundcraft Sapphyre?
I am not sure yet. I don't plan to sell all of my gear but I did accumulate a lot of extra from making the videos. I bought, sold and traded to make it happen and didn't have any paid sponsorhips. I hope to continue in the future in much the same way even though it can be challenging. I'm not sure whether I'm going to sell the big console until I know what my new space will look like and whether it will fit. If it is too large for the new space, I will probably sell it for a good price.
@@TwinCreekAudio Sorry to see you go. I have enjoyed learning about the Sapphyre.
So who got it? I see that the listing is gone off of Reverb.
@@plans2match I didn't sell it. I figured out that it would be best to keep it.
@@TwinCreekAudio I am glad. I wanted it but coming to get it would be impossible.
Sorry man…. Good luck!
Thanks! It will work out fine. Just need to find to relocate and see what kind of space I'll have to set up in.
ohhh.. okay then
we'll wait
I'll be back as soon as I can. There's a lot to do so I had to take a break for awhile.
@@TwinCreekAudio okay sir
wish you an easy going move. 👍
Thank you! It is taking awhile but everything is looking good and I should be back with a new studio before too long.
