Just like many of Japan's castles were bombed flat by the Americans during WW2. Japan rebuilt many of them including the famous Osaka castle, a No:1 attraction there. Many of China's neighbors got envious and fearful of what China is doing. They don't want China to show its past glory less it overshadowed their, as it certainly would. China must continue to invest in such projects for domestic tourism too.

不太明白 国内为什么花这么多钱建古城 仿造破旧的样子也需要很大费用的啊。为什么不建像las vegas这样的大型消费演绎一体的商圈呢 那样不是更带动消费吗？不懂呢。。。
其实两种都有的，只不过建在不同的位置，这样既有现代的商圈，也有传统的，就像古董修复一样，修旧如旧，如果都修成新的，大概也就没有了文化意义
