Hello beautiful lady my circumstances are a bit different. I have seen your videos , but I’ve started listening to them in full recently. My challenge is I have a place in America.I want to sublet it. I have my place home in the Caribbean and my family is there. I dont have to spend large amount of money I ever living wise in Jamaica. I’m working on building up my Shopify store. I have a marketing company in America I am developing products In jamaica to put on My Shopify Store and I want to sublet the one bedroom we have in NYC I’ve never sublet it. I use it when I go to NY. I would like to still keep it to the degree that if I have to be in New York, I can still use it as a base I suppose so this is my confusion I’m ready to go home. I was able to be home for eight months during Covid and five months and a lot of peace of mind. I have my mothers getting older and a lot of things I need to do so yeah that’s my struggle. I want to get completely out of America. It’s too much stress I do not want to be in America during the election and I need to grow my business from jamaica . I have clients in America there’s staples in my business I have a lot of pieces that seem like they would go together very well, but I guess I’m a little afraid of submitting my place not having that thousands of dollars bill would be a great relief for me.
Tired, mentally exhausted, fed up, mistreated, intentionally misunderstood is how I feel working with these people. Especially the women. Jealous, hateful, insecure and fixated on me for no reason. Lord fix it. I have been dealing with this on EVERY SINGLE JOB I have had since the age of 16. My metal heath took a dive for a few years. I so wish I could just quit life. And I'm 38.
Millennial problems. Older millennials most likely have suffered through the great recession of 08! As if graduating that year wasn't enough! Add the mental exhaustion of corporate America to the mix and it's just overwhelming! Exactly how I feel! I'm stepping down from corporate just for my own peace of mind! Figure out the income consistency later. Just doing gig work for now
I'm 62 years old. I have been dealing with this too for much longer than you. I am not at a good place financially as a result of the type of behavior that you are bringing up. I just applied for my social security and it isn't much at all ($1440/month). I don't even care. I have some savings but it ain't much because I used most of my finances to help my adult kids who are unappreciative. I've been following this group for a long time. I am ready to make a move to Costa Rica. I'm trying to find out more about it.
Don't quit life my dear!!! Things can still change for you!! So sorry for the disgusting experience you have had up til now. You do not deserve this. Feel the love I am sending to you ❤
I get it! I'm retiring at the end of this school year at 64. I'm tired and since I didn't always have a decent paying job, my SS will only be 1200. I'm planning to make it work ! The up sidebfor me is that I pair of the mortgage, so there's no large monthly payments going out.
@@bk4of4 I wish you the absolute best. Maybe you can start a TH-cam channel for extra income. I'm thinking about getting into candle making soon as I get funds together for materials and marketing.
I resigned in 2019 to open my daycare. So happy I did. I’m doing great, no stress. Each day is filled with love, laughter with my beautiful children. It’s the best thing I did for my life. I got tired of the 9 to 5 and I knew I was put here to care and love children.
Oh how I needed to hear this! I work in a high visibility position and how "those" people try to come for you is OUTLANDISH! I have had to check people since starting this job and I'm preparing to say ADIOS, I don't want to deal with it anymore! I've always wanted to venture into Public Speaking, so that's what I'm going to do.
It's not only retirement I'm looking forward too. I'm just tired of working period...... Been working since I was 14 I'm tired of dealing with people, and not being able to make the money I like to be making
Girl, I love you. It has been 2yrs now since I started watching your videos. Keep on making these videos, They are needed Black Woman stop being Big Mama. What happen to big Mama she died and the family was still messed up. Spending time raising Grown people. 😢
I’ve been working 10,11 & 12 hour days. Working until death is my greatest fear. I’m 40 and haven’t been to any of the destinations I’ve dreamed of 😩. I want to retire before 50 but don’t see it happening. In the beginning stages of Working on a 5 year plan to build a literal community with women only
@somebodycomelistentothispo7217... Try and experience the destinations that you dream of. Start small (short trips) then gradually build up to long haul.....Make them a reality....you got this💪🏾
Girl, write it in ink not pencil on a calendar, one week a year and do a vacation or stay cation and use that time to pray, eat, and catch up with friends and family.
I turn 41 in a little more than a week. I'm trying to figure out how to catch fire in 7 years. I dont want to reach 50 and be working for ANYONE other than myself (if I want). Time, location, and financial freedom.
Please don’t give up. I lost my baby sister in 2021 that way who had just turned 38. Lean on anyone you can trust. It does not have to be friends or family if your circle of trust is outside your family. As the Bible states, “Lean not on your own understanding.” Life is definitely no walk in the park as a minority, but don’t you dare throw in the towel. Life is a gift, even in great difficulty. Continue to seek your purpose and God will reveal it to you in due time. You are loved and are needed. Your TH-cam family will be praying hard for you.
I’m 44 now and I think I’ll have to work until 55. I should be able to work “casually” at that time until 60 and then work will be optional! I’m saving, investing in my retirement as well as my health. You ladies have really opened my eyes to the possibilities! Thank you for sharing your experiences

Your story came up after I just read the story of the 86 year old woman killed on the job while working at Fed-X. Condolences to her family and friends🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
What!?!? Omg I didn’t know about this story. To even be 86 still working in a way that limits choices to a job like FedEx 😢 I feel so sad about that, then to also hear that she was killed! Omg so sad. Definitely going to find and read the story.
As a 44 years old woman, my desire to achieve financial, travel, and location freedom in the next 10 years is through part-time work, investments, savings, and possibly real estate. Currently, working on culitvating the right relationships and building upon my skillsets. Tfs and continued success to everyone pursuing your goals.
Stephanie, you are amazing! All of your videos are a gateway to peace of mind for black women. 2024 is going to be an amazing year for black women. More of us are getting US Passports and traveling the world, dating out, marrying up, buying property overseas, investing in the digital sector, and overall making smart moves. One thing I would say is that black women need to move in silence and move strategically. Its our time to now and the world is our oyster and the is ours for the taking. 😎
I want to go back to work but my health took a hit during the pandemic I'm 33 years old. I dealt with some hateful people. I was in a high stress environment in the united states. I was forced to go on disability early.

The Caribbean : Don't sleep on "Guyana". It does not have pretty beaches but it has the fastest-growing economy because of the oil. I build a home there. It is also amazing because it is part of South America. It costs around 1800.00 a month and race is not the problem. It is class. if you are living in retirement mode you can afford it easily. Suriname is amazing also. Now they have entered to having flights to Africa and normalizing relationships.
I’m 60. There are rumors of voluntary buy out at my firm. It depends on the healthcare since I’m a cancer thriver. If the package is right we will see. I foresee 65, and I’m done. The only reason is that I intend to do an update on my home which will be retirement home since it has no mortgage. I need to figure out what I know how to do to generate income.
My wishlist for travel includes 32 countries. I have decided to take 1 month of each year to visit 4 countries at a time. By age 60, my list would be complete, and then some. Because we don't know how our health and the economy will hold up. So I am gonna travel now and rest in my retirement.

living in Mexico since 2021, and I was born in 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, and started traveling in 1962 to Mexico. I fell in love with Acapulco, but I always worked in computers, and teaching from age 7 to 70. I took a break at age 58 in 2001, but 911 happen. I did have pensions and at 60 widow SS. USA got to deadly and expensive, so I left for Queretaro, Mexico in 2021 at 79. I love travel and visited all 50 states, the world on my own dime. I married at 27 and 31, and left, when there were deal breakers, and one daughter at 37. and it is 70% less expensive. RIP Everyone. Please stop eliminating anyone.
Very interesting to hear your perspective about the Dominican Republic. It was one of the places I was most looking forward to traveling to and when I got there, I was very disappointed.
I am 55 and like my job but I do a side hustle as well just to make ends meet. Too many hours during the week doing both and am tired. Just keeping the full-time job because of great benefits but the side hustle has good extra cash but I have no time to enjoy any of it and am tired all of the time. Seriously thinking about leaving the U.S. because I am exhausted!
Yeah Stephanie, that would have scared me too until I stayed in Africa for two months for half of that. If we can make it in the US we can definitely make it in some of these other countries! I love how transparent you are about your strengths and weaknesses.
@StephaniePerry PLEASE tell me how can I register for your “House Sitting”. I want to get out by May 2024, my lease will be up and I’ll be 62 in April 2024.
I've visited my husband's country and for 2 days, just stayed at the hotel taking in the relaxation and comfort I never get at a home. It changed my view of working and living in the US.
Currently travelling back and forward to Kenya. I am 58 my goals was 55 to retire. I am currently working remotely in the US. I don't want to work past 62. But I am looking for something to do while in Kenya remotely. I used my lump sum to begin my new life. I didn't make my moves correctly. So here I am. I love me some Kenya.
Hello fam! In France people are pissed because the government keeps on pushing the retirement age, between 62 and 64 now. Aon't know about that but I do know I am not about that life. I will retire from way before that, I am preparing for that rn. Like over the next ten years I need to shift. 🌻
A few other HARD WORKING black women from my files who are deceased, sadly & untimely: 2022, (very accomplished & educated) Dr Karen Melissa Jackson of Texas, Olympic sprinter Tori Bowie, 32 years old, 2023; California, 2023, pastor Trina Newman Townsend, 62 died delivering Xmas toys; and another pastor (very educated) Autura Eason-Williams of Tennessee.
And so many more women who are just regular hard working women! Jobs have disabled 1 of my aunts from yrs of stress and too much responsibility. My mother unfortunately didn't make it due to years of stress from jobs amd racism white Supremacy.
I have been critical of your content in the past. Mostly in my mind but sometimes out loud. LOL. I am weary of anything or anyone I see online, general, nothing personal. With that being said, i really enjoyed this video and I thank you for sharing your experiences and inspiring us.
It's senseless to work most of your life and never enjoy those things you'd accomplished throughout those years. Then end up Willing those things to people who wouldn't appreciate your years of labor it took to build up. Nahhhh, not only am I enjoying some of my life, but will Will all my possessions, businesses, and even Insurance policy funds to a person (whom I believe) would continue to build on while helping others as well. But we'd need to create a way for my kin-folks to be incapable of snatching the rug from beneath the intended's feet. But, I have a sure plan which I believe we both will be good with, especially as being Soul-mates... ❤💯

Hi Stephanie I live in the UK so unfortunately will miss you on live due to the time difference. I am so stuck. I cannot at this moment even consider retiring. I really wish I had something realistic that can bring me passive income. When I was made redundant during the pandemic, I was fortunate that I could at that time not work for a year. In the UK I wonder if it is worse for black women in the workplace?
Hi Stephanie. I'm listening from the UK too. I took early retirement from an incredibly toxic environment and I'm looking to up my game generating passive/active income ideas. Fancy chatting?
I love you and Gallivanting Grandma!(Diamond) bit the bullet at 68 and moved to Mexico, 8/23. Unlike both of you, I like being settled. Because I didn’t develop a gameplan for profitability and monetization I’m still struggling. But in an enjoyable way. Kinda like being in paradise while struggling! Much better than suffering AND hating my location 😅. I need to develop my money scheme in 2024. Unlike you youngns I have no interest in watching spreadsheets or sitting in front of a computer for 3 hours a day. I do want to publish and have some passive income. I’m on a temporary sabbatical from working life, yet I work part time. 😢I hope your videos help me move in the right direction. I’m tYed. Want fun in the sun for at least 2 more months. 😂. Love having my own home and decorating, creating my own space. Living out of a suitcase even for love of travel doesn’t suit my creative impulses. But I have to generate income to travel at will. ❤
Stephanie, are there long term house sitting with Trusted Sitters? I'm willing to do it if it's long-term. I wouldn't want to keep my own place. Im currently in Taiwan on a work visa.
Stephanie, I have owned a house in my younger days, but my daughter came later in my life. I think I am a Nomad too; I have a 13 year who wants a house, and I am like "Girl," I don't want to, LOL!
50 and just stepping out of the slave world with no fear and need to start accumulating residual and or passive cash flow. I am relocating out of the country with a leap and not at all afraid as I stopped working 9to5 and did independent contractor gigs which still are like slavery jobs. At times I work as I please but now I find myself working more..I need to get back on track and be completely free so that my spiritual path is not compromised or rather disturbed. Please help.
I'm 57 now and I don't want to work beyond 60 I live in the Birmingham UK and a new subscriber to your channel how do I go about generating an income so that I don't have to work beyond that
Oh wow, so that mentality that nothing in this world is free and that’s not true. Just say our time and information is valuable and your connections. My tire goes flat and a guy in the parking lot helps me change it. Doesn’t ask for my number, money or anything else. 😊

Hello from Phoenix sorry I missed the live but I'm so grateful for this topic thank you. I'm hoping to retire and work part time. 12 years a way
Cool Phoenix!
40. I plan to retire at 40 in a few months with no savings yet
that's what I am talking about! manifest it. lol
@@JennHaydenso true going to manifest too for myself
Get your Yacht, girl!!! Love ya!💖💖💖💖💖💖
My struggle is finding a higher paying job… so yeah… I can see this a thing unless something changes.
My wishlist for travel includes 32 countries. I have decided to take 1 month of each year to visit 4 countries at a time. By age 60, my list would be complete, and then some. Because we don't know how our health and the economy will hold up. So I am gonna travel now and rest in my retirement.
At 47 I want to work no more than 7 more years and then manage a business for myself daycare/Carehome etc.
Always a great show! We can start living freely but we may have to do it abroad!
Newly retired from the military, working a job I DESPISE and plotting my exit. Im changing course and entering into a career I've always loved....Public Speaking. I'm leaving this job in 2 weeks. Thank you Sis for your candid perspective.
I have quit the job! I'm ecstatic and ready to plan for my new career!
Wow wish I knew this all my life am from Jamaica and work all my life am now 76 and have nothing the little money the government gives can’t even buy a little basic i feel ashamed of myself God’s knows thank you so much
I hate to say I'm retiring in 2yrs due to autoimmune diseases.
That you God. 😊
I don't think as a Chef on my feet for the last 34yrs cooking and for this new Covid19 B.S. people are rude after and impossible to be kind to the ignorance!!
Good bye work force!!!!
A Very Happy New Year Ms Stephanie Perry. You're looking gorgeous. And your message, To Us Black Woman is Brilliant!!!🙏🙏🙏✌️✊❤️
I want to retire in 5 years at 55.🙏🏽
Hey girl, I am working on the same thing, be blessed!
God knows I don't want to work until 65-70 & then to poor & Tired to enjoy the rest of my life
I think we can retire earlier or work part time. My grandma traveled up until her 90s.
Working till 60. Slowing down till 65. Will continue till whenever depending on how I feel thereafter.
living in Mexico since 2021, and I was born in 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, and started traveling in 1962 to Mexico.
What’s the side hustle?
Yeah Stephanie, that would have scared me too until I stayed in Africa for two months for half of that. If we can make it in the US we can definitely make it in some of these other countries! I love how transparent you are about your strengths and weaknesses.
@StephaniePerry PLEASE tell me how can I register for your “House Sitting”. I want to get out by May 2024, my lease will be up and I’ll be 62 in April 2024.
Me too
This was good thanks for doing this.
I've visited my husband's country and for 2 days, just stayed at the hotel taking in the relaxation and comfort I never get at a home. It changed my view of working and living in the US.
Waow! Which coyntry did you visit
So true, one moment can change everyrhing.
Best of luck in your new changes🎶👌
Currently travelling back and forward to Kenya. I am 58 my goals was 55 to retire. I am currently working remotely in the US. I don't want to work past 62. But I am looking for something to do while in Kenya remotely. I used my lump sum to begin my new life. I didn't make my moves correctly. So here I am. I love me some Kenya.
Caught on the replay. Informative as usual. Reminded me to stop doing things for free!
I’m 57 now thinking 62 will be my ceiling to retire.
I had some pumps in the road, and I have no retirement. I think now being a business owner, hopefully 60 I'm 56 now.
Fresh air! I plan on retiring early and thank you for the information.
I’m going to have to download this video, I will have to come back frequently.
Peaceful Greetings, You look GREAT!
I enjoyed this video - have a great day Stephanie! 🙂
Sis start the video gm Im 58 retiring at 62 due to the pension system in New York so Im just preparing for retiement now so many changes in social security. In the New Year I will continue to invest in.myself.
Sorry, not addressed to Stephanie but elaibesummers906
I totally agree
Based on absolutely nothing, I'm going with 60. I'd rather it be 55. I'm 46 now.
I love your afro❤.
Stephanie, are there long term house sitting with Trusted Sitters? I'm willing to do it if it's long-term. I wouldn't want to keep my own place. Im currently in Taiwan on a work visa.
Excellent content and informative! On time word of encouragement!! ❤🎉❤
Hello Stephanie. I look forward to every time you post.
Afternoon Stephanie! UK
AMEN,Sista!
Stephanie, I have owned a house in my younger days, but my daughter came later in my life. I think I am a Nomad too; I have a 13 year who wants a house, and I am like "Girl," I don't want to, LOL!
I wanted to work until I was 65(ss) Now they moved it to 67(ss)
I way younger but have health issues. I will always have to do some kind work, just to have shelter.
This is powerful.
Where can I find listings to house sit?
so sorry i missed this conversation. Watching on play back.
I'm late to your channel ❤ it , I'll stop working in around 20yrs 😅😢 I enjoy what I do ! But like to stay busy !
Gm I live your hair Im on the road to retirement thank u for your content.
Well I’m past those ages now but I’m ready now. 67 help !!!!! I’m a sponge taking it all in …. How do I register for the Summit?
Thank you Stephanie
I speak Spanish as a second language since age 14.
I stop working in 1995. I saw too much going on with women and deciced enough was enough. I would work as I please.
Also I think black women should get into investing in stocks that pay dividends and live off that money.
Know of any good resources to get started?
Brown girls trade too, she's on TH-cam
I retired at 55, 15 years ago. My daughters and I travel together.
Just getting this message it made my day❤❤❤
i am working and trying to get out of this shit we call working. I'd like to work from home and that's it till i am 65. then only have fun .
Replay!! I need this!!
