@@MrApplesaucestuff the same treatment is given to cars, not sure why it's so unreasonable to want that for bikes which are put in much more danger when they're in situations when they have to stop
This was excellent. Cooper has an encyclopedic knowledge of the city and did a great job playing tour guid. And it was fun watching him ride non-hotline-ey, just smoothly dealing with crazy street action. Please, more like this!
Not even done watching it & already my favorite riding video of all time!!! It seriously felt like every ride I ever took over the bridge. The tour of the city is well put together bro. I like all these videos but this one is absolutely the shit!!!
Make the same in all different city in the world.....Terry and Cooper are the perfect duo.....all their video together are just awesome....terry your youtube channel is a freedom ode.....
I never comment on videos. This one deserves it. Keep doing them. Coopers encyclopedic knowledge of the buildings is incredible. I've ridden those routes a few times, but hearing him narrate so thoroughly was so engaging!
Having lived my whole life on the west coast and only visited NYC one time in March 2015, this inspired me to go back again. I had a great time riding through the city, and Cooper makes it look absolutely effortless while dodging traffic and calling on his knowledge of the city. I would definitely like to see more of these videos.
Glad to see the merch. Now I can show the world I'm Hotline's #1 fanboy. Bravo to Cooper Ray. The man knows his architectural history like the best. I totally enjoyed the tour.
This is so cathartic and exhilarating to watch. I've only been to New York as a tourist and this really captures the vibrancy of New York as well as my love of cycling. Lovely video, keep up the good work!
You blokes are mental on the bikes over there. I’ll be in NYC in a couple months so will watch a few more times, the knowledge is great! Oh and I’ll make sure to stay out of the bike lane.
As a bike tour guide in my city i enjoyed this soooo much. Great work on showing us all the angles with the 360cam and also very good commentary and knowledge of the city from Ray. Ohh yes, the good sound is always appreciated. I would love too see and hear more :)
this was so cool, very chill yet entertaining and informative, especially for someone interested in nyc and is not living there. Would be great to see a lot more of these, especially with cooper.
That was an incredible tour. Hopefully i find more in your library of videos. If not please continue. This is a great was to tour NY, with historian Prof. Cooper.
Glad I’m not the only one that is disgusted by the world trade shopping mall. Love this perspective of a tour coopers knowledge of the city is pretty awesome.
Greetings from Singapore! I am visiting your city next year in June. Great info on the buildings that you've introduced in this video. Your bike riding skills are good!
I live in NYC all my life didn't know any of the things you showed us today. Amazing video. Please keep them coming. Come all the way up Manhattan then do Brooklyn then Bronx
I’ve ridden all of these streets before and often, and cut through city hall park past the fountain daily on my commute, new found appreciation for these places after hearing the history. Great video
Interesting... I can't say I've ridden a bicycle around NYC or anywhere in America for that matter. But bells do work here in Canada. Screaming "yo!" just attracts side glances. But whatever keeps us all safer I guess.
This was awesome! Watched your Tour in the gym via the screen on my bicycle machine. The machine has its own terrible interactive videos but being able to watch your Tour and hear about NYC was great, felt like I was there! Looking forward to more video’s
The helmet twitching at 13:25 like this is the trailer for a Cronenberg film. Also, the guy in the white pants at 13:35 really want to be whipping a mountain bike.
An idea: If it's not too much trouble, it'd be cool to see a map showing the current location or the ridden path. I'm not from New York, so for me at least, it's kinda hard to visualize locations on a map to where I would know where to go. The map would help see some context between the locations. Would also make this feel a bit like a long GTA cutscene which would be a bonus, right? :D
What a beautiful and engaging video! Thanks for the tour! I was thinking of vlogging on a bicycle, but never have I had the idea of mounting the cam on the helmet, that's brilliant! Please excuse my technical question - how long is the stick holding the camera? Measured cam to helmet.
I really wanna know how Cooper knows all of this? He has a very extensive and impressive knowledge of not only the city, but specific buildings as well. Very cool.
If you liked this tour and would like to see another, let us know WHERE next in the comments!
L.i.c Queens
Please do more!
It would be cool if you did a tour based on the oldest/interesting buildings
Do the theater district
Do it all
Greenwich, midtown, uptown!
This definitely needs to become a series
Love the "YO", "THAT MEANS YOU" and then the hard stare that follows!
Very impressed with Cooper Ray's NY knowledge. It's cool to know the history of your city.
Cooper's "YO!" is now my sms alert. 😂
Cooper's knowledge of New York Skyscrapers and their history is crazy impressive.
Who else thinks this should be a series?
yayayayayaya
totally
I
Ahh, the Brooklyn Bridge. A great illustration of why bike lanes need to be physically separated from other traffic.
unsub not everything, just our lanes.
@@MrApplesaucestuff as Cooper said himself the best bike line is a Painted line on the street, just a suggestion
@@MrApplesaucestuff the same treatment is given to cars, not sure why it's so unreasonable to want that for bikes which are put in much more danger when they're in situations when they have to stop
One of the biggest benefits of cycling: seeing and getting to know your surroundings inside-out. Gotta love that
This was excellent. Cooper has an encyclopedic knowledge of the city and did a great job playing tour guid. And it was fun watching him ride non-hotline-ey, just smoothly dealing with crazy street action. Please, more like this!
Amazing. More like this please!
I’m late to the take but any tour from you is great hearing you say” YO! Move, bike lane” also best damn history lesson I’ve heard... like ever!
Great tour video. Zipper down for additional air flow. :)
Srsly XYZ
Caught that after we shot it whoops. No hiding from a 360 CAM
Terry Barentsen that view is amazing ...
13:00 thought he was gonna say “coffee and underground steam”
I knew what was coming because his Instagram is coffeeandbikes ;)
I thought so too.
Definitely enjoyed this tour, more please!
the amount of knowledge you have is mind blowing! definitely watching this again before i make the trip there!
Not even done watching it & already my favorite riding video of all time!!! It seriously felt like every ride I ever took over the bridge. The tour of the city is well put together bro. I like all these videos but this one is absolutely the shit!!!
This is pure gold! Tours of every nook and cranny of every NY borough with Terry and Cooper, yes please.
no gears, no brakes, no bar tape, no fuks given. Clean riding and informative tour!
He’s such a cool guy with tons of character !
Make the same in all different city in the world.....Terry and Cooper are the perfect duo.....all their video together are just awesome....terry your youtube channel is a freedom ode.....

Damn, Rooper Cay is one helluva tour guide!
Rooper Cay -- what a legend.

It's amazing watching this video in 2020 and listening to this guy talk about things being "bleak" in 2018.
Seriously the best tour of NYC I've ever seen. Please do more. Such a sick perspective and the commentary was so good.
such a friendly harmless guy ! i'll never get bored of this video :)
Really enjoyed this video! Any video with Cooper Ray is entertaining.
Hey Ray, your zipper is unlocked. I love the tour, super nice video quality and explanations! Thanks :D
This utilized the 360 camera so well. Really enjoyed chilling with my lunch to this tour
I'm trying to figure out what gimble he's using. so dope
Great tour, would be better with your zipper up but I'm not complaining.
Why bother? It happens lol.
I didn't even notice. Felt like there were other things to look at than his crotch, but to each their own I guess
i think its wire.
Actually, that was the video bonus :D
Nice of you to notice.
This is so cathartic and exhilarating to watch. I've only been to New York as a tourist and this really captures the vibrancy of New York as well as my love of cycling. Lovely video, keep up the good work!
Cooper is a character and this 360 tour was a pleasure!
I like crossing the Brooklyn bridge and coming back on the Manhattan bridge into Chinatown. Always fun to ride in Manhattan
A nice reminder to stay off the BK bridge before 1 AM.
Hello Cooper.. i always enjoy watching you being in the "FLOW" while riding your bike through the streets of NY!
You blokes are mental on the bikes over there. I’ll be in NYC in a couple months so will watch a few more times, the knowledge is great!
Oh and I’ll make sure to stay out of the bike lane.
Loved this tour, hope there are more. Thanks both x
Cooper A that was a wonderful tour of NYC on bike.
As a bike tour guide in my city i enjoyed this soooo much. Great work on showing us all the angles with the 360cam and also very good commentary and knowledge of the city from Ray. Ohh yes, the good sound is always appreciated. I would love too see and hear more :)

All the building history bits were really interesting!!
Cooper Ray is back!! Dude these pedestrians... no shame
Awesome tour, thanks for all the insider info. I'll have to watch this again before I visit.
Not only can you kill it on the bike but my man can drop the downtown history knowledge too 🤙🏼 great video boys 🤠
Cooper Ray for President.
That was an incredible tour. Hopefully i find more in your library of videos. If not please continue. This is a great was to tour NY, with historian Prof. Cooper.
Glad you enjoyed it! Trying to get cooper to do a livestream version soon
Glad I’m not the only one that is disgusted by the world trade shopping mall. Love this perspective of a tour coopers knowledge of the city is pretty awesome.
Beautiful imagery and really interesting information, great video

i thoroughly enjoyed it and letting you know about this in this comments section. please, do more!
This was awesome. More tour of New York videos and cooper Ray was awesome
I live in NYC all my life didn't know any of the things you showed us today. Amazing video. Please keep them coming. Come all the way up Manhattan then do Brooklyn then Bronx
It’s definitely on the agenda
this HAS to be a series! awesome!
Cooper and Terry. You are both fairly crazy, but you are definitely my heroes. That guided tour was really incredible. Greetings from Paraguay.
I’ve ridden all of these streets before and often, and cut through city hall park past the fountain daily on my commute, new found appreciation for these places after hearing the history. Great video
best new york tour i've ever seen! more of these please
Dude, you really know your City and it’s history.
You should set up a business, cycling guided tours!
Could be a great tourist experience.
insurance experience
Is screaming "yo!" better than buying a bell?
Martin Dizon yes people don’t respond to bells maybe a horn but no one cares about a bell
Yep
Definitely.
No one ever hears/moves for the bell. Yelling is more effective. And it just feels better.
Interesting... I can't say I've ridden a bicycle around NYC or anywhere in America for that matter. But bells do work here in Canada. Screaming "yo!" just attracts side glances. But whatever keeps us all safer I guess.
Awesome video. The peace of his ride cadence, I enjoyed all the video. Well done Cooper (Y)
Dude love the history of architecture
Great tour. Cooper Ray is doing a good job. Please do more!
tour is a gr8 idea with the 360. yall setting the new standard.
It's been a while since I've been in Manhattan, so this was a nice tour. I like this concept
Terrific work Terry, pretty mesmerize. I want another tour
Watch out business guy 😂😂😂😂
Ray's flow hook you up so easily . Really cool video
The original Trade Center made a beautiful addition to the skyline
This is awesome, please do more, doesn’t matter where. Good riding and info, plus some ped heckling. What more could we ask for?
You could do uptown. Harlem, dykman, wash heights, there's a lot of cool that's unknown up there. Or like east village/ soho..
Bryan H Market if Terry wants I can do that! Harlem, Washington Heights, Inwood, Fordham & Grand Concourse and finally Kingsbrigde and Riverdale.
Brilliant thanks a lot. Better than any other tour vids
Awesome!!! So cool to see NYC this way!!
I’m 3 years late, but I really enjoyed this.
This was awesome! Watched your Tour in the gym via the screen on my bicycle machine. The machine has its own terrible interactive videos but being able to watch your Tour and hear about NYC was great, felt like I was there! Looking forward to more video’s
Great video! Please cover all boroughs! This gotta turn a series for sure!!
The helmet twitching at 13:25 like this is the trailer for a Cronenberg film. Also, the guy in the white pants at 13:35 really want to be whipping a mountain bike.

The best looking bike on your channel and that is saying a lot
My favorite video so far!
Solid tour-always wanted to know some architectural history on nyc. Cheers
In two days this video will be two years old and worldwide we could watch more content like this.
MORE OF THESE! Come to Austin, Texas this winter! It’s lovely in the winter.

I was thinking of vlogging on a bicycle, but never have I had the idea of mounting the cam on the helmet, that's brilliant! Please excuse my technical question - how long is the stick holding the camera? Measured cam to helmet.
Id buy a cooper ray t-shirt that shows him screaming *YO!*
this is actually a really good guided tour.
Enjoyed the tour! Keep them coming
I really wanna know how Cooper knows all of this? He has a very extensive and impressive knowledge of not only the city, but specific buildings as well. Very cool.
might be a hunch but, bike messengers from NYC know the city top to bottom
Messengers enter these building on a daily basis.
