Such an unchristian way to act towards 2 beautiful gay men
It’s actually very a Christian way to act, which is one of the most unfortunate parts.
Take your money to someone who doesn’t discriminate and disrespect other human beings.
You have my mom's maiden name!!
@@Tawroset not too many of us carry the Futch name
My mom was born in North Carolina. Our Futch ancestors came from Germany to New Bern, NC, in the early 18th century. You're right, it's an unusual name, from the German "Fuchs/Fox". Good to meet a fellow Futch.😊
Outrageous 🤬What a great couple. I hope they found their dream home and are now very happy 🥰
Then the owner let a criminal rent their house. Good luck!
They are both so FIT 😍😍😍😍
easy
And CUTE!
Fitness is a contemporary addiction. Considered quite unhip when I was young.
Shame on the sellers. All credit to this young couple, and wishing them every happiness when they do eventually find their right house.
If this happened here in the States they would now OWN that house! I hope they are compensated appropriately.
Sadly, that is not the case in the US. The Supreme Court has ruled at least a couple of times that freedom of religious bigotry outweighs a protected minority's right to not be discriminated against.
@@naoise555 when it comes to housing they certainly would have a case! I understand what you mean, there are certain things here in the states that have been found to be the choice of a private business. I'm gay and I could argue that either way because I do understand both sides. However when it comes to housing that would never happen here and if it did they would be able to sue big time
I wish. If this happened in the States, the issue would be politicized, we’d briefly debate what constitutes as free speech, then the Supreme Court would eagerly step in and rule in favor of the homeowners, who’d probably be represented by the ADF, an anti-LGBT+ hate group 😕
No they would not. You're delusional.
Hopefully no one will buy the house 😳😳
Blessing in disguise. God has something better in store for them.
I completely understand their bitter feelings. Being gay myself I know what does it mean to keep it to myself in certain situations, so no comments of any negative connotation will be done. All the best for both of you.
Unbelievable, I cannot believe that these two young men were rejected a home of their own. Such discrimination is abolished. I hope the men finds a beautiful home. 🙂💐😊
I always say were not to different from 1500s with how they treated people back then.
How interesting. Hope they did take legal action and have found a nice home to live together.
Don’t you dare quote the bible - the owners are not even close to be Christian!
They are a beautiful couple that were wrongly discriminated against.
I am sure Karma will have a date with the bigoted sellers.
Has a seller myself im more bothered about pervert buyers.
whatever happened to "judge not lest ye be judged" (Matthew 7:1-5) and "A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35). Cherry picking the Bible is classic behavior of faux-christians (small "c")
Loving one another doesn’t mean agreeing with sin.
It's a little stupid, I mean these people are NOT the house they're not going to remain living in it, it's commerce.
In their case , I’d ask an intermediary to buy in my behalf without them ever knowing about my identity or orientation .
The listing was through an online real estate agency that eliminates use of intermediaries.
A house is a huge purchase. The home buyer has to able to see what they are purchasing in person.
@@RaymondHng it seemed they had their hearts set on it already…
I think the real point in this is that people need to stop hating people and disliking people because people are different. Just because somebody is different. Doesn’t mean that they are bad person treat people with love and respect and kindness. There is way way too much hate in the world.
Bit surely it works both ways! Are people now to hate the owners because of their religious beliefs?
So much for Love thy Neighbor I do not think God would want that couple who denied them a look at their house to be on his team.
In which century are those family in ?
This is
home a phobia
😂
They are like Mary an Joseph being denied a home...
Marc & Joseph
Sickening how rightwing hatred and bigotry has become normalized around the world again
This is not rightwing!
That´s normality in Italy.. And nowadays it´s almost impossible to have this kind of coverage on public tv about these issues.
This is not a Christian act and it gives Christianity a bad reputation. However I hope others will learn from this not to treat others like this. We suffered a similar experience with renting an apartment years ago. So I understand their situation.
Christianity rots peoples ability to critically think
Every religion does...
Being a christian and having a relationship with JESUS has been the most wonderful thing in my life. Im not perfect but I feel so happy and free.
@@user-mg9zo5zg7gI thought this video was about discrimination. What’s your thought about that ?
@@qiqi2692 I sure hope I did not come on to strong about my faith. Once those people put that house on the market it is non of their business if they are gay or straight. I believe if Jesus was walking around on this earth like he did years ago I think he would tell these two young men that he is so sorry people are treating you this way.
@@user-mg9zo5zg7g I’m glad I asked your opinion first , instead of judging what I initially perceived or projected on you 😉I hope humanity will evolve more like we just reacted to each other . Thank you for your sincere answer ❤
Why didn't they sue? What is the point of the story if they didn't fight for their rights?
Online estate agency Purplebricks has withdrawn the house from their website. There has to be anti-discrimination housing laws in order for a lawsuit to be filed.
He was 37 around this time, wild, in the thumbnail he looks younger 😲
❤Absolutely beautiful couple❤Love from Finland
Only just saw this, but it's really common all around the world. I'd say spend your money elsewhere!
Those verses are being taken out of context. It is important to read the verses before and after as well as thinking about the context of the passage to the people and culture. There are many examples of solid good men relationships in the Bible. Jonathan and David, Jesus and His disciples.... also love and sex are not the same thing.
any updates
My God, and they used the King James version. As if no one knew that he wasn’t historically gay.😅
Not Christian at all.
I wonder when both parties leave this world, which couple will the Divine take up issue with, the Gay couple or the Str8 couple....it's so funny how Christians claim the Bible and the teachings of Christ exclusively for their religion, yet they fail to miserably to follow the heart of the teachings. Sadly, here in America, this sort of "Christian" bigotry is spreading fast again.
Each "brand" of religion interprets their supposed "official user manual" which is in fact much, much older than has been told to us. It has been re-written to serve the contemporary elite and "church" There are almost 1000 "books" of the Bible. Most have been eliminated especially in the 300's but as recent as 1700's all to twist and bend "their" interpretation for themselves (in which they themselves break every "rule" in the book).
@@jefferyrowley8873 👍🙌sigh....
@@jefferyrowley8873 When people say "the word of God" I'm thinking "really" were you there? You know how you tell someone a story, and by the time that same story has been told 10 times it's a completely different story. The word of God should be just that, and any Bible you open should read the same. But you are exactly correct each religion writes their own version which IMO it's no longer the word of God, it's an interpretation of what they want it to say. Thank you for your comment because this very thing has been bouncing around in my head for a long time.
Christianity is merely veiled discrimination. Totally.
That’s why I’m Buddhist everyone is equal ❤

Here in America I am a property owner. If I had my way I would only lease to gay couples. They are never late on their rent. They are tidy. They are very respectful of the property, and very quiet.
But I can’t bc here in America there are laws against discrimination against straight people. 🙏🏿☮️
So sad 😢and messed up
Stop this kind of discrimination..
Homophobia is alive and throughout the land and more so in ethnic communities…
Keep going !! People are cruel..
It's ironic that they quoted the King James Bible when that version of the Bible was named after a gay king.
Lol these people are extremely weird. The lifestyle that anyone lives is no one else's business. Sell and move on. You are not living with them lol. To have any notion that you have authority on how anyone "should" live is hilariously absurd.
Strange, why were the sellers asking about the potential buyers situation. This should've only gone through the Real Estate agency. The sellers should not be involved with the showing of the house. Did the boys asked the homeowners about the house without going through the realtor? Why did the sellers have any communications with them at all.
I hope they found a better place, since this interview is two years old.
The listing was through an online real estate agency that eliminates use of intermediaries. Online estate agency Purplebricks has withdrawn the house from their website.
Haha ah-haha oh my god thats so funny, I lost a social work career when I was fired from an agency Id worked at for a dozen years! We split a 150,000$ grant with another (Catholic) agency, and they didnt want to split it anymore...So they, what, extorted us by demanding me and another worker be fired because many of the clients knew we were gay. This was the 90s and at the time pretty shocking to me, and the kids all rallied around me, bless their hearts. 😂 To no avail!!
My partner and I have 4 homes, and we are still redoing two...
Wait, both of the are over 30 years age ? Is that real ? They look 20s
Goes to show how religion preaches hatred when they insist they preach nothing but love.
I love this 😊
This might happen in the state of Colorado
Most definetly in alabama, Mississippi, Montana, and a host of other Republican states, of course, all those good Christians in those states basically hate everyone who is not like them, they treat the homeless exactly the same way, basically like garbage, parade around with their Bibles in their hands. I’m sure God is just so pleased with them.
Is that a hurt crime????
Still?! No surprise religion is involved, again...
Very angry, I would have straight investor by the house if you really want it after all this hatred buy it back from your friend. Best of luck.jay RI USA
😢
God is love and God created gay and straight. God doesn't hate anyone. The straight couple were coming from a dark place. They should be ashamed of their actions.
Why in the world would anyone be shocked at this. Are the news people trying to perhaps persuade some of the viewers? Why would they present this situation in such a shocking manner. I have been Gay all my life for many years and the abundance of ignorance in this world has never ever shocked me in the least. At around 22 I made myself aware of the world around me and made it a point to be totally aware of everything and everyone so that I would never be caught off guard like these two young men. It's called anticipating, foreseeing, second guessing, researching......and my motto in life since I was 22: 'Head them off at the Pass'. And it has worked for me since I was 22. And I have NEVER been rejected by anyone my whole life. Young men, be aware of the world, always. And for you news people who are in shock......get another jo job. There are three forces in this world responsible for the death of billions (YES, billions) of people and animals since almost the beginning of time. They are Religion, Culture and Ignorance. And they will all be here until the very last person on this planet takes their last breath. Religion, Culture and Ignorance will never die. For those of you with any religion you must know that with these three forces, there is no need for the devil or demons. These forces have already destroyed the world and will continue until the end.
SANDWICH!!!! I would def give them hea... i mean house.
It is now 2024 and there are millions of people are homophobics. Comn on peeps...it is not your life. Its them. They have rights in everything, in anywhere, and in everywhere. Keep your faith with yourself and your relationship to God. Do not judge because you are being judged too.
If it is right for these men to be denied a home, it is right for banks to close accounts by reason of the customer's odious views. As a society, we need to decide whether it is right or wrong for people to be excluded from the usual societal activities.
Well they're lucky cause in other places that are not western countries they're at risk of being denied housing, bank accounts, education, electricity, and other lawful discrimination unlike their home western countries!
Yes put one is an option and the other was due to factors when in fetus. And one Talking about Nigel Farage. VERY unpopular POLTICAL figure the other is a complete unknown couple who just ever to have a slight change in dna. Both are perfectly in the law though we give extra worker safety for those who are dyslexic and or disabled due to genetics never had choice but some people can’t get there small brains around the fact DNA is NOT changeable and OPIOIONS well aren’t that.

You seem to have never read the fine print of the service industry mate. They make it clear they can deny you the right of service unilaterally if they want.
@@boygraphychannel yes but we only have that rule because of a free market. If we speak morally I don’t think it a good law.
Thank you.
I don't know why some so-call Christians quote the old bible. We are not Jewish. We follow Christ words. Love the neighbor as you would love yourself. Do unto others as you do unto you. When Christ came everything is the old bible was absolute. Jesus now carries our sins. Jesus forgives. Christianity is following the teachings of Jesus. Jewish is following the old testament. I guess these so call-christians don't know what the word of Christ is.
Discrimination against Homosexual Gay males couldn't buy a home
This is nobody business that you guys are gay, so what. I hope by now you guys found a place.
Always love when people pick and choose Bible verses. Invite to them to keep reading on and read Romans 2:1-3, where we are called out not to judge one another, if we do we are as guilty of same issues.
And al the immigrants get them for free. In Muslim neighbourhoods in London
Well, come on, this isn't the end of the world, is it? I am gay myself, so I understand that it isn't pleasant to receive that kind of rejection. But people should be entitled to their beliefs. If ppl want to be considered arseholes then so be it. These young men will probably end up with a much better place.
Very much legal in the US
No, it's not. Many have been sued for this type of behavior and are usually well compensated
Tbh they could easily pass off as twins loll
❤🏳️🌈⚧️🥺
That's a loaded heading. The two were not denied a "Home." They were denied a "House" This is ITV tilting the story because Lachlan Mantel is one of their own TV producers.
2024 England, welcome to the free world
It is THEIR HOME TO SELL and they can choose who to sell it to
end of
discrimination or not you have no devine right
here a thought... go look for another house there plenty!
Why do I get the feeling that this is a ploy to get a house on the cheap? Because there is a right to choose who you sell your house to. One can choose to accept or not accept a contract to sell your home, this being in UK is different from here an America because of the separation of church and state, but recently there has been the use of force through lawsuits to make people have to put their beliefs aside to bow down to the feelings of everyone else. As for the bakery matter, the owners of the bakery won the case on appeal, but it cost them the family business. A simple way would be simply this, chose to do business with like minded people instead of trying to force others to believe as you do.
Regardless of the reason, if the OWNERS of the house don't want to sell their house to a gay couple; so what, it is their house and they can sell it to whomever they want. You do not have any right to buy someone else's property.
So it’s perfectly ok to refuse to sell a house to christians or and political party …
Not sure what the law is there, but here in the States it is totally illegal. If that happened to myself and my husband when buying our home, we would have eventually owned it for nothing. It's happened before.
I would have refused to sell it to Luke because of his awful accent (Birmingham)
I mean im gay but if that’s the owners religion then it is what it is move on bud maybe find a better community to live in anyways lol
I don't know about that dude
Iyou can use the same thing if your racist then and use religion or your beliefs. 😅
@@notslucis9977 there is a big difference between the two buddy, I wouldn’t want anyone forcing me to do something against my belief. Do you know how simple it would’ve been to just go somewhere else for this?
@@Reaperware_no difference at all
@@Reaperware_So if you want to buy a house as a black person, and you would get rejected, would that be like “okay i just move on to the next one”?
Well i don’t know you, but to me first thing would be to sue the owner and milk the most money of it when i win the case.
Its there house they can sell it to whoever they wish.
Get over it. Christians gonna hate
I wouldn’t want it in my property either.. although I suspect there’s more to it.
What is the it you mention?
come on, you know exactly what this person means! i agree with him/her@@upsupeter
Do you own a property?
Bigoted, victim-blaming, and dehumanization. You seem like such a good person dude 🙄
@@mamagherbear7082 how are they victims? This is complete nonsense, yes I own properties, I’m a property investment consultant by trade.
There MAY have been an individual seller who is a bigot, there’s plenty of properties online.
I mean Christ is king soo
Fair play to the owners. Nice one
Wow bro you're so sigma gigachad, w to you. Bet you really feel proud of yourself, gotta love hating people who don't affect your life whatsoever am I right? Grow up 🙄
I'm gay and I believe it's not a discrimination case if the owners if the house didn't want to sell they shouldn't be forced to sell just because the buyers are gay. It's the sellers home they have ever right to sell to whoever they want to sell to
...if they chose not to sell it to them SPECIFICALLY because they were gay, then yes...that's textbook discrimination...
Poor bum chums ha ha ha
Really ? Sad .
Silly old Trollope.
Whine, whine, whine. Here's the thing: We all live with conflicting 'rights," which are usually not rights but, instead, wants. The owners of the house had as much "right" to sell it to whomever they wanted (for whatever reason) as the prospective buyers had to buying it (for whatever reason). Yes, I think the owners were probably not being very charitable in refusing to show/sell to this couple, but it was their house to dispose of according to their will. Millions of people are discriminated against by banks, corporations, landlords and employers every day based on income level or some other characteristic deemed legal, but we just accept it as part of life. Yes, I think the owners should have shown it to this couple - but at the end of the day, it's just a matter of people disagreeing based on what they want to do.
I want to be there and see how well you deal with such blatant discrimination, when you're the one affected.
@@robertuebel7068 I'm sure you would like to be there. But just for a little perspective: There are two million HOMELESS people being genocided in Gaza (mostly through intentional starvation) who have also lost there homes. In the West Bank, settlers are stealing the homes and killing the occupants. There is evil in the world far greater than not getting the house you want.
I say this as a gay senior citizen who grew up in the 1960's and 1970's and who came out of the closet in the late 1980's in a notoriously "red" state. I've seen, and experienced, far worse. From a practical standpoint, screaming for "rights" that are at best debatable only breeds resentment. I have learned the hard way. What this couple experienced pales in comparison. They just seem so entitled and weak. They need to grow up and move on. The world does not revolve around their little disappointment.
