Yeah I hope so, they’ve got six to choose from 😂. The traps have been up since the beginning of April and today is the first time I’ve seen any bees at them...
I have a hive which has so far been very quiet, but today I noticed a solitary honey bee going in and out ,flying around , this went on for ages, could this solitary bee , be, a scout or just a confused bee, it did seem to have pollen on its leg., your thoughts thank you.
@@davidianoliver May have been a false alarm , been nothing now for two days, or perhaps it didn't like the hive, is there a time lag before more bees come to investigate after the first solo scout, maybe it takes days or even weeks before any come back to check the hive out, hey ho still plenty of the summer to go.
@@redrichard8443 could be the weather....whereabouts are you based? I had loads of scouts on tues and wed this week (sunny and warm), then no scouts yesterday (cooler and overcast) and then loads again today
@@davidianoliver Well Dave, the day of the solitary scout, it was very warm, but heavy rain broke out as the scout was inspecting the hive, the next day it was cool and wet, today has been sunny and fairly warm , I live on the Wirral which is in Merseyside , I was wondering when the scout gets back is there a time delay before other scouts come and check out the hive, or do they come right away.cheers mate.

what dd u put as the bait?
There's been a couple of swarms turned up which is great. The bait was an old brood comb and some lemongrass oil
