There are numerous ways to achieve HDWGH. Your method is obviously valid and it's very cool that you explain the setup with this level of detail. With that being said, gotta admit, that holy smokes your setup is complicated 😅3 quick tips to make this simpler:
1) you don't need that potion dispenser or redstone clock. Just throw the potions on your face. If you point straight up and throw potions, you will get full duration of them.
2) instead of trying to insert the shulker into the contraption, get the shulker first, drop it wherever and build the setup around it. No rails needed.
3) six beacons is so much work... while only one is really needed for haste, and possibly for regeneration. All others you can get from potions (this many potions wouldn't fit into the dispenser, but again, you don't need that - see point 1)

Hey! I do think your tips are helpful, but I gotta share my opinions on them.
1) Probably a weak opinion, but I don't see the point of having all those potions in your inventory. You shouldn't have to equip yourself with so many items to get the advancement. You may end up going over a potion or forgetting a potion in your inventory, and once you realize it, it's potentially too late. It's best to minimize the amount of items in your inventory as much as possible.
That's why I believe the player should only have the proper food, ominous bottles, and a pickaxe in their hotbar at best when it comes to this setup. The splash potion of infestation could be put into the dispenser via hopper, but this is just how I do things. It's the same logic with beacon effects. Yes, it is a pain in the butt to get 244 blocks of the proper materials for the beacon, but again, the player shouldn't have to do so much.
2) You shouldn't have to build the mechanism around the shulker. It should be built around the player. I can only imagine the hassle of building this mechanism around the shulker instead of building it first, and then inserting the shulker. I have seen tutorials of people moving around in water, breaking blocks for the shulker to aggro on the player, and shooting a spectral arrow at themselves. That just feels unoptimized, and it could be done much simpler with some form of automation.
This mechanism was inspired by Illumina's All Advancements video (expressive sigh) where all he had to do was stay in one place to get this advancement. I just made some minor tweaks to the setup to where it's compact and followed his design. Nowadays, speedrunners like Feinberg don't care about crafting dispensers, observers, or getting a shulker into the mechanism, and that's okay because they're going for time. We're not all speedrunners, and some of us want an easier and simpler way to get this advancement.
Apologies for the ramble, but I hope my take and explanations make sense to you. I always appreciate constructive criticism and hearing how other people do one thing. I'm not a person that's "my way is the right way" unless I know for certain that any other method won't work, and I have the proof for it.
great tutorial, and i was able to do it in a test world but is there a consistent way of getting dolphins grace? it feels really luck based and its really hard to get it every time
@@brosyn There is. If you activate toggle sprint, you can automatically go into swim mode. That will grant you Dolphin’s Grace.
