Conical picks on cutter heads are often subject to the most abrasive rocks and materials known to man. Whether the cutting picks are working in underground and opencast mining, construction, tunnel or road building, the cutting pick plays a critical role in maintaining machine efficiency and producvitity.
Don't use substandard cutting picks, it will end up costing you more in the long run. The ENSTRUC conical pick body is made from high quality forged steel and has a cemented carbide insert tip. Optional abrasion-resistant coatings can be applied to the pick head and pick holder to reduce wear in challenging applications; including tungsten carbide, ceramic, and diamond.
