Jim - I'm a HUGE fan of Venus Hum and Annette Strean (the nerdy but gorgeous singer). Sadly, Annette developed tracheal growths from the stress of her singing. She had surgery and had to go to speech therapy to relearn how TO SPEAK, let alone sing. When she was healed to the point she could sing again, she toned down her voice and VH softened its style somewhat. AFAIK, VH / Strean have stuck to studio recordings since Annette bounced back and that the Mechanics & Mathematics album, released on 6 October 2009, was their most recent release. The link I pasted here is of one of my fav tunes of the M&M album ...... th-cam.com/video/BZwkbnwwBnA/w-d-xo.html
Having grown up during the early days of electronic music, I've got to say this is as good as all those electronic acts. Venus Hum is on a par with early Eurythmics, Depeche Mode etc. Great stuff!
Holy monkey spit. Watched the "official" video and then this. They're two different songs, with this one being far better. Loved the bass line in this one, and Annette is killing it here. She scares me, but I can't get enough of that voice.
Rockin' It!
fabulous stuff! Stumbled upon them after watching a Blue Man Group vid. Better late than never, I guess!

@@clydemorron2378 Thanks, I have been trying to find out what happened to them/her for a while. What a pity we appear to have lost such a talent.
Isn’t she a television actress now?
