I really love how professional Jihyo is. You can hear she’s having mic problems but you wouldn’t be able to tell it by her face. She continues to smile and act like nothing is wrong and doesn’t let this issue stop her from putting on a show, a queen!
I mean you could definitely tell she was “thrown off” at the end there but overall? She held it together very well.
What I don’t understand is why her mic would be live when you could CLEARLY tell that everyone else was using their tracked vocals. Why would Jihyo be the only “live” vocalist?

@@user-dj9iu2et3rdk. I personally think they were singing live, they just skipped high notes. Because nayeon's high notes at the end, were the same as the actual MV. The intro "ooh~" and other high notes were also not sung live as no one was lip syncing or moving their mouths.

First of all, the fact Jihyo’s mic wasn’t working angers me to no end. She was so professional and even sang louder which shows her talent and skill. But also the choreo is so sensual and playful! I’m glad we finally get to see the whole song! I hope they do a lot more performances of this song live!!!

@@Yohanmiergo the problem was her mic was too low and her in ear piece wasn’t working. I’m not sure what you mean by her normal voice but she would have sounded closer to the tracks key and tone if everything was working properly

I am very upset the main singer for the group mic wasn't working SOMEONE getting fired. But the fact that she started singing louder and resonating her voice and you could hear it regardless of having no mic, speaks about how good of a singer she is. Instead of most people would just accept it and not even sing, she chose to take it up a step. Think about all the sound and music in that room, and the fact things far away are still picking up her voice if that doesn't deserve a breakthrough award I don't know what else does.

This is a performance executed to perfection! TWICE is brilliant! Even with the mic issues they performed brilliantly. Thank you Billboard for honoring them. They have worked so hard and they began their journey in a time when K-pop was hardly known worldwide. They achieved so much because they put their heart and soul into their music, because of their bond as a group and because of the close bond with their fans. Their discography is really wonderful and very diverse. I can't wait for Ready To Be and everything beyond.

@@darukona7218; yeah you could clearly see Jihyo felt uncomfortable. She noticed right at the beginning her mic didn't work properly so I can understand why that would throw her off, but she handled it so well. This isn't an easy stage to perform at all.
But despite the issues I thought this performance was really good. I'm very happy for them. They deserve the recognition outside Korea. They've earned it themselves by working really hard.

Despite Mike Jihyo's breakdown, her voice was so amazing and high, she performed the notes correctly and so loudly that the whole hall could be heard and her presence was amazing, this proves that Twice did a live show.

@@hl2582 it was mindblowing for me and the majority (the choreo is so detailed, fast paced, intricate, yet they preformed it perfectly with synchronicity and made it look easy, they sang live and did so good even with the technical & mic issues; they are preforming in a new environment, infront of famous artists and importing people in the music industry yet they were confident and showed their expertise (u can watch fancams which showcased their stage better than this one ); so it's ok if u didn't agree, I guess you're a minority!
My heart is so full watching this performance in 2024. TWICE has always been such a talented, hardworking group with multiple comebacks throughout the year, yet they never fail to give their best. With the sold-out shows at the ready-to-be world tour reaching a wide audience worldwide, it makes me so happy to see them receive love and support globally

As a Once, I applaud Twice, and specifically Jihyo, for continuing on their performance despite the in-ear piece and mic not working.
Jet lagged in a foreign country, representing not only their record label, but their pride as Korean women, this is all the more upsetting knowing how hard they had to work for it to amount to this. It’s upsetting to hear that Jihyo apologized on her own Bubble for something that wasn’t her fault.
The least Billboards could do is apologize to Twice, the fans, Becky G, and Lana Del Rey for the poor technical errors. These women worked so hard for their efforts to be unappreciated at its fullest.
That's so sad. I didn't know there were technical errors. They still did and looked great on stage. Im so proud of TWICE.
