    Hi Napo. Could you possibly highly the process of acquiring these certificates for a beginner and a person who isn't planning on going to a tertiary institution to study ICT. So what I mean is can you highlight which is the best certification to start with and then which is the next to go on to and so on, if that is possible or is it just based on what the company's want ?

      Hey Sthabile, It all depends on what you are interested in.
      If you’re interested in becoming a software developer, you’d have to start by learning a programming language, you can do that through platforms like Udemy or Pluralsight if you have access to the internet and you can pay for those courses or you could buy a book if you prefer.
      Courses are generally pretty cheap, you’re looking at a few hundred rands for a basic programming skills course.
      Once you’re confident in your programming skills, you can then get certified on a programming language of your choice. This video touches on some of the certs you can acquire to get a better chance when applying for a job. I’ll make a video on different ways to learn programming. I hope this kinda answers your question? Otherwise just watch out for that video 😅

    Hi, I heard in one of your videos that even a data analyst there are alternatives to getting in the field. Was wondering if there are certificates similar to these one can take?

    • @Napo4k
      @Napo4k  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Slungile,
      Thanks for watching. Yes there are certifications for data analysis, however these will be specific to a vendor, i.e each vendor has their own data analysis tool, which they'd offer certification for. Here are some of the certifications:
      * Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP)
      * Certification of Professional Achievement in Data Sciences
      * Certified Analytics Professional
      * Cloudera Certified Associate (CCA) Data Analyst
      * EMC Proven Professional Data Scientist Associate (EMCDSA)
      * IBM Data Science Professional Certificate
      * Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate
      * Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate
      * Open Certified Data Scientist
      * SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional Using SAS 9
      * SAS Certified Big Data Professional Using SAS 9
      I hope that helps

      @@Napo4k I'm currently doing electrical engineering at wits. A friend of mine who is in corporate (software dev for a bank) advised me to get possibly both Azure and AWS cloud practitioner certifications to give me a competitive advantage over other applicants when I apply for software dev positions. I'm still doing undergrad.
