This is the kind of thing I absolutely love! How hard they work, how everything packs up so small, has a specific place during transit, but turns into a whole attraction. Plus, they do it all kinds a weather both setting up and tearing down, day or night multiple times a season! It would be great to see more videos like this! Thanks!!
Enjoying your build up funfair vlogs. More of this please !! Pull down vlogs would be good too.. We don't realise and appreciate the work that's involved by the showmen to setting up a funfair. Great to see an insight to what work they do to get the fair up and running. Keep going... Love your style of filming. Thanks.
Love your build-up videos, hopefully you can do more for 2021, love the Gardner diesel generator on the left, best generators ever! Those gnat things are horrible, they hatch out of the grass, they use to spawn like that when I was at high school and cling to the walls. A showman once told me: "it's better to build-up when it's raining then have the fair open when it's raining". Showmen are legends, they are acrobats (balancing and climbing on beams and ladders to build-up rides), engineers, electricians, carpenters, welders and painters and awesome lorry drivers, they don't get the credit they deserve, this video shows the skills needed to be a showman
To watch him do this in real time, this is extraordinary. Only half way though the video, and almost all the floors, walls, and effect al, all done! Brilliant!
Reece is very patient and really good at teaching the young lad how things are done, he looks out for his health and safety, encourages him and jokes around. I really enjoyed watching this video, thanks for filming it... I don't know how they managed to built this without injury haha you two mucking about all the time distracting them loool nightmare. Love to come and watch one of these builds if you're ever near the north london/ essex area.
I never log onto you tube but after watching your build up vids I just had to log in so I could compliment you. I LOVE that stuff!!! This one was GREAT!
You need to do more of these type of vlogs, they are such fascinating vlogs and give a full incite in what these showmen have to do to put these fairs on
More of these please. The build up is easy the most fascinating part of the fairs. I stay up for 12 hours watching my local being built and dismantled every year
After all the chaos of my usual TH-cam viewings, I found this video incredibly relaxing, soothing and down to earth 🤗. I've been on a few of these ghost train rides in my life... But it was about 2013 when I actually dared to open my eyes whilst on board one... 😂 true story.
Fascinating stuff, these are classic rides in my opinion better then the double decker ones. Always imagined that the owners would actually buy them from somewhere though and they’d come with assembly instructions like Ikea furniture! Very cool 😎
Thank YOU so Much for posting this video !!! I have been waiting for Years to see this. Always wanted to see how a ghost train was build. This is Amazing !!! Thank you so Much !!!
Loving this one Dave & Si, excellent account of what it takes to build up a ride, and customers not realising what it takes to make it happen. Thanks for sharing this vlog!
LOVE set up vids, thanks for posting. If you get a chance to do more please do. Yeah I'm with you, ghost trains are up there for me in terms of my fave rides. That one looks decent, unfortunately many don't! I don't envy those boys. I once asked for work at our local fair when in my teens, was sent to help build up the dodgems. Helped for the day but that was enough for me!
Am abit late to the party but I fully enjoyed watching that ,when I was a lot younger I used to work for the lads nappy and billy bates in leicester part time but it wasn’t for long ,they seem a good crew there. I wish I was still doing it now. Hands in pockets lol but not the thieving type. 💪🏻💙👊🏻
Very cool to see this ! Interesting how this is actually a ,,big“ one in the UK , just made me realize how lucky I am to have the really big ones from Mack , like the Daemonium or Geisterstadt here in Germany ! But the Graveyard Express still looks pretty good ! Awesome video ! 😁👍🏻
Brilliant vlog! Always fascinated by how much you can fit inside one of these classic Ghost Trains. Same layout/cars as the ride at Dingles. Used to love operating that ride. Thanks guys - you’ve earned yourselves a new subscriber.
Built it up, pulled it down, minded it, loaded the cars, rubbed it down for painting and travelled with it for many years when Leonard had it, spent hours working on it!
Hey guys. i am a fluorescent light enthusiast. Most fairgrounds are now ripping the old coloured coloured tubes out of waltzers and similar rides, and replacing them with these more modern strips of individual bulbs with coloured bell-shaped plastic shades, and also much more modern LED types. On your many interesting travels, have you come across any rides or attractions that still have these "Old School " coloured tubes still in use. I think I noticed some on the Rifle Range at Burseldon, but not sure as it wasnt close enough.. Great video by the way. I can see you have an interest in old school methods etc..
I used to work on a ride similar to that ghost train here in the states, ours was two sections on two trailers(wagons) so it was obviously twice the size called "Elm Street". Yep, I've been punched before. Lots of fun, really hard life.
Such an awesome vlog, enjoyed every second, I’ve always been fascinated with ride build ups ever since I was a kid, love how it’s all on a lorry and it transforms into a ride, would love to see more of these type of vids, cheers dave/si for a very interesting vlog 👍
This is a great build up vlog of the Ghost Train you managed to capture there Dave and probably one of your best too it just great to see our these rides get built up - Nice 1 guys 👍👍
well done dave another really good video i have been watching your video sense 2019 last year and every video always makes me happy i love your content and i would love for your channel to hit 100k subscribers and i would also love to see more videos like this as well keep up the good work mate and also double thumbs up
Don't know if its weird to say this but this was really relaxing to watch! Nice to see the hard working side of the fair and the effort that goes into these things! :)
Thank you for this video. My local Agricultural Fair has a similar ride called the Haunted Mansion. Pretty much the exact same trailer and set up. Just diffrent scares and theme. I've noticed diffrent ride companies tend to customize thier haunted house ride as they see fit. This one is a ghost train theme.
Best video you have put out so far Dave. Double thumbs up 👍👍
Ahhh thanks so much! Really watching and filming this ... Will do more
@@SlothyVlogs p

Hello
The ladder bit? Yeah I thought the same thing.
One of your best vlogs yet. Fascinating. Reece is a legend.

Amazing to know, Thanks
Amazing how they find everything at hand. Master of organization
I am obsessed by ghost trains and your videos so this is a dream to me. Well done and thank you.
I love love love carnivals. Grew up on them. Mom and Dad knew how to have a good time during the inflation times.
The only ghost train build up on TH-cam I found and it's the best!
Thank you
No problem :) I'm a fan
Love to watch the Tear-down and Set-up of Rides ! Especially Ghost Trains and Dark Rides, those are always favorites !
Enjoying your build up funfair vlogs. More of this please !! Pull down vlogs would be good too..

A classic! I loved these rides when I was young. They're still around here but, not as many as when I was young.
Thank you for sharing this! So interesting, really enjoyed it. And Reece seems such a lovely bloke too

Cheers guys really interesting, what an original Ghost Train too!!👍👍
Amazing how it assembles. A lot of thought went in to the design. The tarp roof was a surprise for me.
This is the way to go Dave.Brilliant and not something everyone else can offer.More like this please
Thanks David

always wanted to see a build up of the ghost train ride really enjoyed it thanks mate.
Bloody briliant! Very interesting!! Great Vlog!!
Great build up vlog Dave it’s amazing how all that folds up on the side of the lorry
Like how they are using metal panels for the dividers instead of plastic curtains. Nice "tricks" they created :)
This is amazing to watch, cheers Dave
Thanks Mark
Love this video! My favorite kind of ride! 👍

Awesome video ! 😁👍🏻
Are they permanent structures though? I think he meant big for a fair ghost Train, there are considerably bigger permanent ones at theme parks.
Chris No , they’re both fair ghost trains
Size isn't everything...
Loved watching this it’s so cool how they build it up , would love to see some more of these
Will try and do more for sure
Great video lads as always. Thanks
Thanks Colin
