- This video was captured on a Sunny but windy day at Pembrey & Burry Port Station in Carmarthenshire, my Home Town, and it features, Network Rail's Class 150 unit 950001 working a circular Route from Whitland, along with Class 60 60024 tearing through the station with a rare daytime run of empty MURCO Tanks from Westerleigh to Robeston in Pembrokeshire.
Hand held, so my apologies for the shakes and wind noise.
Yes I have been on this station Bob once or maybe twice since 1976, I watched this video with interest as nothing has change I believe. Great video Bob, regards Mike.
It's hardy changed much over the last 50 years Mike, being my local station, I've always loved it to bits....Regards...Bob
Very nice catch on that freight train Bob he was moving right along for sure.
Thanks Wayne, these are the heaviest freights when loaded that work in this part of Wales.
Brilliant video Bob. The Class 150 was nice to capture but not to exciting. The Murcos was great to be able to capture them at daytime. Had a fair load. Best wishes C&A
Didn't have much time to do much with them C&A, just record shots of two out of the normal workings....Best wishes....Bob
Always nice to see something different on your local line, Bob, and nicely captured. Keith
With the constant flow of units in normal service Keith, I try and capture some of the more unusual ones if I can...Bob
Poor old Mr. Rat must have died from the shock of seeing the 60.!! Well captured Bob..thank you.
Thanks Tim, poor Rat, ..don't know why I included it...just a mad moment I think...Bob
Great captures Bob.
Thanks as always Ron, it's good to see this unit on it's travels.....Bob
Nice capture of a some interesting workings on your local patch Bob. Regards, Dave.
Thanks Dave, just a few record clips of something out of the ordinary down here.....Regards...Bob
Good captures Bob, and not far to travel to get them!
Makes a change Austin...Thanks as always.
Hi Bob, Great footage, long tanker train..Dave
Hello Dave, that Oil train had 29 wagons, when loaded it amounts to a 3,000 tonne load, one of the heaviest in the UK.
@@robmasterman Morning Bob ,Yes really long train,Thanks for reply ,..Dave
Bloody hell that was a big bugger! At least he won't be playing havoc with the rest of the local garden bird's population now
They must have been short of empties at MURCO as the loco came back light engine later in the dat.
Track recording I would say Bob!.......Best wishes Chris
Indeed Chris, it's packed with HD Video cameras to check the Track work.
Nice one Bob
Thanks very much Roger, makes a changed from the endless flow of units.
Lovely footage Bob and great to see the 60 still doing the business on a heavy consist! Love that LQ semaphore clanking back on! Thanks.
Thanks very much Ken, the 60's are very powerful locos, and the only ones with enough power to haul these heavy trains across South Wales.
Good video Robert :)
Thanks Simon.
Co starring the dead mouse. BTW great video.
Thanks Richard, however, it was a Rat not a Mouse!
@@robmasterman Oops.
Did he get rat arsed?? Nice one Bob , full of surprises ...
Ha..ha...nice one Dave!
Like the class 25 at the end!🤔🤔😂
That's a clever response...Thanks very much!
It’s a bit of surreal humour. The class 25 loco is known as a rat by nickname.
Have a look at 2:53 at the end of the film.
Don’t apologise. I have a surreal sense of humour. Some people gate it others just don’t.
