It seems that a vast number of pokemon consumers avoided the DLC. The feeling of disappointment is still there; the game still feels incomplete. Some of these pokemon are two decades old, and they believed we'd be interested in catching the normal varaint again. I am definitely going back to gen 8 to shiny hunt some more.
You can always get the cartridge that has the dlc from eBay or some reseller that doesn't mind selling it for less. But so together it is disappointing fortunately I started shiny hunting a year and a half ago in ultra sun and moon. Unfortunately, they're shutting down Pokemon bank next year
