When I was a kid I'd watch Doctor Who on PBS and it was the time frame that this doctor was on. I loved him, the outfit and K9. He is still my favorite Doctor. Also, All the Doctor Who episodes are on Netflix. The older ones are in a separate grouping.
Technically the Fourth Doctor was one of the most alien-like Doctors... The others being the Eleventh and Second.... They were equally eccentric to Tom....
Tom is still the most wonderfully alien and eccentric Doctor ever while still remaining highly likable and relatable. He did it better than Troughton (who I like) and Matt (who I also like) who copied him. Tom, for me, is the perfect embodiment of the Doctor. TB is now my favorite Doctor even though I didn't start with him. God bless.😀

Scarf’s so eye catching, I didn’t even notice Four’s jacket was more of a dark purply color than brown until I saw that scene when Seven was trying on his past selves’ costumes. XD
I have a replica of the Fourth Doctor's scarf. A friend of mine in America also knitted a shorter length size of the scarf for me so I wouldn't have to worry about tripping on it while I'm out. I much prefer Tom Baker's multi-coloured scarf than the burgundy one he wore in his final season.
No way SP MURPHY. I Respect the two actors you mentioned and have seen them in the show but having also seen a fair amount of Tom Baker's Doctor Tom is still the champion of coming off as the most alien.
oh yes tom baker best dr there ever was, i made that scarf for my brother when he was in high school, this had to be pretty close to 31-32 yrs ago Dr Who scarf was the first thing i ever knitted in my life, an i just went by watching dr who and guessing the colors and the length of it, thing wound up being cast on of 90 stitches and close to 25 foot long. lol took me months upon months to make. ya know he still has that scarf. with the wore spots in it and everything, one hole he carries his pipe in,
You should it's quite well done. Original Stories, along with great characters. It is an amazing show, and i recommend you check it out. You may fall in love for it
When Doctor who aired here on PBS they were always having fund raisers and the scarf would sell out like hotcakes.......There is tom baker and then there is there rest.
Is Doctor Who that good? Not dissing the show and please don't flame me or get piss but my friends tell me the show is AMAZING and that i should give it a try.
IF you have not seen Doctor who until 2005, its alright, you can literally check out ALL of the series from 1960 to now (last season) from. the. library! or go 1960-80's then the film (skippable) and then go on netflix where 2005- last season is up

Only one Doctor - Tom Baker.

if i had that scarf i would wear it everyday for he rest of my life!
Adam Bumber then get it. It could run for a maximum of $50 for a 12 ft scarf.

He's my favorite doctor ☺
I live in Tom Baker's road :), see him in Tesco all the time.
That is soooooooo AWESOME! Wish I could bump into Tom in my neighborhood!
Harleyỹ I envy you
Tom Baker .. best Doctor ever
It has been going for 50 years so it must have something going for it.
I got my DVR recording the 50th Anniversary because I'm gonna be out of town when it premieres
I wore that scarf for comic con when I went as The Doctor. It got hot in that thing.
Watch isn't an obscure channel, it's one of the sub-main channels.
They're showing it on BBCA, thankfully. :)
Probably the most well-known of all the Doctors.
A: Doctor Who does air in America,
B: This is promoting the Doctor Who Revisited going on in the UK,
I read this as "the Ironic Scarf". I thought IGN was implying that the Doctor was the original Hipster.
I think the 50th anniversary is being aired worldwide at the same time, correct me if I'm wrong
That's the doctor who that I remember.
its really good. I have goten into it when david tenat was the 10th doctor since then I hae, watched every epesoide
You should it's quite well done. Original Stories, along with great characters. It is an amazing show, and i recommend you check it out. You may fall in love for it

Mine to. Tom is such a brilliant actor and legendary Doctor.
It does air in america...

Im surprised that IGN has actually posted a Doctor Who video in general hahah
on public broadcast they do.
When you taken about best Doctor? Your talking BAKER!!
When Doctor who aired here on PBS they were always having fund raisers and the scarf would sell out like hotcakes.......There is tom baker and then there is there rest.
Oh wow my last name is Pope just like the person who made the scarf.
That craze ended long ago.
Decdot No it has not.
Peter Capaldi is the new doctor right ?
I thought doctor who didnt air in america?
It was aired in America before the UK
My question is: where is the scarf right now? And by that, I mean the prop, not “where did the doctor put it after he regenerated”
By my guess, probably either in storage or in the doctor who experience up on display
bringoutthelegos
Yeah, either at the doctor who experience, or maybe even in a museum
Is Doctor Who that good? Not dissing the show and please don't flame me or get piss but my friends tell me the show is AMAZING and that i should give it a try.
You should....and Classic Who and Tom Baker as well.😆

Side note: Begonia Pope should be the name of a sidekick. It’s delightfully quirky
You seem him on top of Tesco??? :O
;P
yes watch it..
No this is made by BBC America and wasn't in the UK till some obscure channel got the right to air it recently.
yea, Capaldi seems like a scarf dude lol
They sell replicas on Amazon, I bought one yesterday :)
I think Americans like this show more than brits...
you were right the first time. Unless you always see him on the roof/
Tom Baker nothing else needs to be said.
I am well aware of it being made for America, and Watch is hardly obscure..
Anyone who likes doctor who, like my comment.
