- Medium winds between 10-25kn. Super nice to race with 1.200 motivated competitors from 62 countries. Setup JP Slalom 62 / Neil Pryde EVOXI 7.0 and Lorch Nolo 33.5 cm. Super fast but got stuck in a wind hole right in the middle of the race. But finished 16th place wich is ok. Had great fights with some of the top PWA guys. Looots of fun but very exhausting! Can't go full speed throughout the whole race.

Wow! Thanks for the footage Andy. As an ex windsfurfer (i kite) it looked really knarly crossing paths with slower sailers. I wonder if anyone ever got carved up in an accident...I would not be surprised. Well done, that was a hell of a sail you did there.

Jo, vor allem beim Start. An der ersten Jibe waren die, die ganz unten gestartet sind dann leider schon weit weg. Der Kurs dicht am Strand war auf jeden Fall die falsche Wahl auf dem Hinweg. Der Speed ist teilweise aber echt unmenschlich, Andy lässt Vollprofis stehen als würden sie mit der Finne im Sand stecken.. Wahnsinn :)

@@AndyLaufer I switched to using a Rylo which requires a case. I've seen fog issues as well. That's one thing I prefer about the new caseless GoPro models.

Ich mag deine Beiträge, und insbesondre diesen, denn man ist quasi mit auf dem Board bei der Regatta. Diene Lösung mit zwei Kameras auf dem Helm, eins nach vorne und eins nach hinten, ist gelungen, denn die Sequenzen nach hinten geben einen guten Eindruck von diener Lage nach dem Start, oder bei den Bojen Umrundungen. Sehr informativ. Wie erwähnt, fast wie mit auf dem Board zu sein. Mach weiter…. Toll wäre wenn die Aufnahmen in 4K wären, denn dies würde das Erlebnis nochmals steigern. Da müste aber die Infrastruktur vor Ort stimmen.
Hi Hav, vielen Dank für Dein Feedback, freut mich sehr. In der 4K Einstellung gibt es leider nicht den Superview Mode, deshalb aktuell "nur" in HD. Ich denke, dass Gopro diesbezüglich aber noch nachrüsten wird. Aloha Andy
Grüẞ Gott Andy. Ich muẞ gestehen, daẞ ich es nicht unterlassen kann dieses Video ab und zu laufen zu lassen, obwohl ich es schon mehrmals gesehen habe. Denn ich finde es einfach TOP. Die letzten Minuten vor dem Start, der Regattastart an sich, die wiederkehrende Sicht nach hinten, das Wahnsinnstempo und die Bojenumrundungen. Alles stimmt.

I thought you were the last Rambo on earth. But wait, there are 1200 other ones. ...How many brutal crashs were there between Surfers in opposite direction?? I know everybody is high concentrated but this can be very serious...but i have to say it looks awesome
