I can always count on you Ellen, to make card making and watercolors so enjoyable! Just love your creativity! Yes, your attitude is wonderful and encouraging. You are my therapy! Painting is such a wonderful escape from all the crazy that surrounds us these days! Thank You Ellen!
I've been in a creative funk lately, but discovered your Monday mini madness series and started bingeing them. I finally did one today! Now, I feel more motivation to paint, spin, knit...whatever! Thanks for your great tutorials!
Thank you for mentioning the Monday Mini Madness. It's inspired me to subscribe. I've been in an unproductive funk, too. I've had to put my ego on the shelf and admit that despite over 55 years of painting experience, I need tutorials to jump start my creativity. These look wonderful, in addition to all of Ellen's seasonal projects. I love Christmas, so I'm very motivated to paint them. And thank you, Ellen!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video and how easy you made it seem. I'm only in my first year of painting and feel uncreative lately but these I think I can do. I love how you said they're great for if you're stressed out. I see a lot of snowflakes in my future.. Thank you Ellen!!
Ellen, I love your positive attitude and words of encouragement. I first “met” you with the winter scene you mention in this tutorial. It’s still one of my favorites. And your Patreon is great. Well worth the money.
Thank you for your encouragement & being so happy while you are painting. Some artists are so serious & I wonder if painting is a chore or their happy place.
Perfect! You offer a good mix of tutorials. Simple and advanced some of just need to be easy to get a volume of cards out and you offer that. Thank you
Nice and simple cards that anyone would love to have! If you don't like the less than bright white of Arches, you can mount the painting on blue cardstock. Thanks for your endless ideas and tutorials Ellen!
Never followed one of your tutorials before, what have I been missing? Love your style and presentation, you’re so…….normal! Thank you, looking forward to more.
Aww, I’m so eager to try these! How beautiful and awesome of you to share all this with us! I traced my grandsons some snowflakes, they put the white glue on, let it dry, the next day lightly touch with watercolor paint! They were gorgeous, they boys loved them
I'm ready to try my first watercolor: A birthday card with a snowflake and came across this video. You are the inspiration I needed❣️❣️🎉 Love your instuctional style. Kind, gentle, encouraging! Can't wait to look at your other offerings! Wish me luck!😊

Ellen, I love you doing you!! I started watercolor painting over a year ago, and you are my FAV tutor! Thank you so much for teaching and inspiring us to create beautiful things!
Ellen, Don't ever stop being you! I have been following you for over a year now, and only one I follow through Patreon. I look forward to each tutorial. Some may not be the style I enjoy, but I love each one for the different styles. I have tried almost all of them! I even try the more advanced, and succeed!! I absolutely appreciate all the time you put into these tutorials, and hope they continue for a long time. you inspire me always. :)
I can do this! I just started learning watercolor painting a year ago and this seems simple enough for me to do. I might try using salt as well. Great for an overall background, then add hand lettered "Peace" or "Noel". I've already got envelopes done with airbrush, micas and gold leaf for my eight closest relatives and friends. The cards will be a big surprise as only my sister and best friend know I've been messing about with watercolors. Thanks for posting, new subscriber!
I think one of the things you do best is teach to different levels and I am grateful for that. Thanks for the encouragement to try, practice , create, make your own choices and have fun. You are a terrific guide for me on my learning journey. And today I had to smile when I found myself making sound effects while painting snowflakes 😊
Thank you for this. Im going to try this and then show my kids. They will love this and like you said its fun and simple. There is no wrong way to make a snowflake they're all unique in their own way and i think thats what makes this special. Hope you have a great day!

An easy way to prevent splattering the back of your cards is lay plastic wrap over the top before you tape your card to surface. I just keep my scrap of plastic wrap raped to the back of my board so it’s handy. Thanks for sharing your tutorials.
Absolutely perfect timing!!! Just exactly the thing I needed to see you do, and so beautifully I might add, to get me jumpstarted into beginning my Christmas cards! I am a postpon-a-holic and these are just perfect to loosen me up and warm up my fine brush skills AND the very best part is have FUN! And did I happen to mention, they are gorgeous as well? Now, who could ask for more? Ellen, you are the best!! Happy Holidays from New Hampshire to your lovely studio, home and family in Connecticut. 👩🦳🐈🖌️🎄
