    Has to be that wee bit extra bow in your line due to the wind. You have a very small margin for error and you catch beautiful fish. Love this.

    awesome vid mate. Those arrows for spotting are ace. chur. Was at the Tekapo Canal, up the top by the outlet, on the weekend, trying your fly fishing rig, (nymph with an egg dropper), fish everywhere, none on my line. gutted. haha I'll be back.

    Nice, here in Murchison there are so many great fishing spots, i love living here for heaps of reasons, if you haven't heard the Owen river has quite decent fish and especially the buller.

    • @199207n
      @199207n ปีที่แล้ว

      wouldn't mind some tips on the buller mate! The river is so big, never know where to start. Do you fish below murchison or is it only doable above the goulter confluence?

    • @CalTheKiwi1
      @CalTheKiwi1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Didymo an issue locally around Murchison?

    • @grayy7098
      @grayy7098 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@199207n There are so many good spots to fish, I know you want tips on Buller as well but I'd say one of the best spots to fish is at the Owen River lodge, the guides are so friendly and professional and there are massive fish. The biller fish are a bit smarter in my opinion that's why there are quite a lot of big ones. Best spots to fish are before Maruia falls (there should be a fish and game sign somewhere) I caught myself a 9lb brown trout there and there are many. If you ever are in Murchison ask locals if they know any spots or tips such a good community.

    • @grayy7098
      @grayy7098 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CalTheKiwi1 There's a bit of Didymo and it depends where on the river it is and how fast the river flows I found that faster flowing has less Didymo and slow flowing has more. So short answer there is a growing issue.
