The Zaouli is a sacred mask dancer from the Gouro’s tribe in the Ivory Coast . In fact he’s so sacred that, when he comes out, people await and he doesn’t stay long. His dance steps are precised and he doesn’t move around much ( like this guy did left and right)because every steps has a meaning. The black guys are certainly struggling artists in Europe and decided to imitate the Zaouli to gain momentum, but this one is a failure. He was kind of clowning around.
