while i was making this video. I started noticing it getting really popular where i live. :P Look out for the links to the mop top hairstyle. And men's 90s hairstyles video blow.
You said at the beginning that this hairstyle is slowly creeping into Europe, but it actually was born in the 1930s and 40s in Germany. Called the German undercut. Very popular amongst the soldiers.
Being the 90's fan that I am i think it's awesome that the curtains are coming back. My curtains are very short right now but not too short as to not be able to pull it off but it'll grow and I'm going for the full on 90's look of medium length with no layers or texture and a tapered back. I also dress 90's, right now I dress in early 90's style Grunge with flannel shirt. I will eventually buy some baggy jeans and shirts though. I'm 29 but that's not gonna stop me.
@@brotoonstwins My hair will be the right length this December but I might wait until January. I appreciate the advice but I don't like top knots nor am I interested in alternate styles, although it's possible that I might switch it to an undercut at a later date and just leave the top at ear length with the mushroom look at the back. BTW why do you pronounce the "T" so hard? Just curious.
I agree I think they both had great hair at some point. I think Nick Carter in 1999 they say it was really great like in the I wanted that way video. The only thing that's a little bit awkward is the completely disconnected undercut can look kind of awkward. Leonardo DiCaprio's hair in 1997 it was really cool.
@@brotoonstwins I'm actually rocking this look again thanks mainly to covid19 making hairstylists disappear. I'm really liking it though, grew out into a modernized layered version, and holds up well today as long as you move away from the all one length version of it

So I'm curious, what would you say are the best things to do to make the hair look nice and textured? I know about point cutting and layering, is there anything else I should try an do?
i hear ppl say wavy hair cant rock that style. i dont think thats true. heck even black men would wear this look. Johnny Galecki did curtains looking style in the 90s
well the easiest way is to show picture id say. find a picture that suits what u r looking for accurately n go for that. if thats a good pic screen cap it and show the hair cutter
@@brotoonstwins I remember the super wet look spiky hair being a huge thing throughout the 2000s. Would you say that Jim Carrey in The Mask had this hairstyle? He had lengthy fringes, though IDK if you would say it had the curtain shape of over takes on this hairststyle. And second, would you argue Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor had this haircut?
