  • James is joined by Planet FPL Women's Football Correspondent Lauren Harris for a chat about Women's Football ahead of the kick of the new Women's Super League season next week.
There's discussion on Emma Hayes following her success with the US national team and what her departure from Chelsea may mean for The Blues with Arsenal and Manchester City set to challenge again for the title. Can any of those three go all the way in the Champions League and can anyone else from the WSL challenge them in the domestic competitions?
Plus, there's discussion about the growth of The Championship and the battle to get into the WSL which includes not only the likes of Newcastle United but also Michelle Kang's London City Lionesses.
And the England Lionesses are discussed ahead of next summer's Euros and there's discussion on attending Women's Football including James' experience at last season's Women's FA Cup Final.

Growing the fanbase for chelsea like how it is foe arsenal is super easy. In this generation, the wins and trophies clearly doesn't draw in crowds of 60k. What draws the fanbase all boils down to increasing fun goofy videos of the players engaged in silly games and posting them regularly on the team's social media. In addition, i noticed more and more teams are starting to do documentaries of their prior seasons and giving fans those behind the scenes struggles and triumphs. Fans get to know the personalities and traits of players and that's the hook to get people interested in the football aspect. But even if arsenal are chronic repeat losers, the fan following has been securely hooked emotionally so they come back to fill seats because they care how Miedema and williamson do coming back from ACL or making a catchy LaCasse chant. When I think of Arsenal....what comes to mind are 1) mead, williamson, nobbs in a room trying not to laugh at the jokes read out 2) nobbs and mccabe singing/rapping off-key Christmas songs 3) leah williamson playing piano 4) pelova and Lacasse failing to play the recorder 5) kim little and Emma mitchell spitting water over meme clips 6) beth and Viv ACL documentary ....the list goes on. When I think of chelsea....sam kerr does back flips and Guro and Erin are besties and Emma hayes star wars press conference and the controversy with jess carter. ManCity? Bunny scores a lot of goals. ManUnited? Blank. LEICESTER? BLANK. spurs? Grace clinton very vigilant on that Easter egg hunt. So....I go support Arsenal and see how CooneyCross is going to be a brat towards Foord and Catley.
