I use a house with electricity metaphor. The power is there, the lights are on(throttle), but we adjust the lights with the dimmer switch(clutch).
I like it sir. Thank you for taking the time to watch and for sharing.
I tell my students the same thing the clutch controls the speed, I show them how revving the engine and using the friction zone and how it controls the speed.
It is a good visual when you show them that demo. Thank you for watching and for sharing your comments.
Thanks buddy great tips have a great week
You do the same and thank you for watching.
Thank you for your response wow I was thinking it would be around an inch so at least your idea gives me an even better idea of how small it is thank you I appreciate it very much and can’t wait to go practice 🎉
No problem at all keep me posted on your progress
Great tip! I know I’m guilty of this sometimes

Right on Paul...sometimes the answer is right in front of us and we dont see it.....good demo
So true, thank you for taking the time to watch.
I wish that you had some of the same lessons for DCT Bikes like the Honda CMX1100 Rebel that I own because I can no longer use a gear shift lever. Only using the throttle and rear brake can be a little challenging at times. 👍🏾
I need to see if I can find one to ride for a little so I can put out some material. The DCT does take some getting use too from what I am told. Thank you for taking the time to watch.
@@ProriderCentralTexasTH-cam I think that the Goldwing would be appropriate for your demonstration if you can get your hands on one. Thank you for responding! 👍🏾

@@andrewschultz2504 I am grateful to be able to help.
Excellent info I liked the demo can you give an idea of about how much space is actually in friction zone I struggle once in it to then fully open I can find it ok but I understand there is varying degrees of that zone can you estimate about how much space we are talking about between zone and open
It’s hard to say but there is very little movement between the friction zone and fully engaged. If I had to guess I’d say about a millimeter or less. It is definitely a fine motor skill. So sorry I don’t have a more precise answer for you
👍🏾
Thank you for watching
