I am very interested in the Full version of this phone, as I can not use any device that does not support Signal Messenger. I bought the Jelly 2 because of your reviews, and I love it. Anything that can break the habit of doom scrolling, like having a small screen and limited apps, is useful IMHO. This one's really interesting. Love that they targeted US bands.

Yeah it really does make you wonder how Nokia totally missed it and didn’t go down this route aye. Kai os is clunky slow and frustrating to use its worse than Nokias old Symbian s60 system.

As a new global F21 Pro owner, I'm quite happy that the Qin phones are getting traction in the West. I had been going to root the phone, to get Google access, but I now see having Google blocked on it as a plus and most quality APKs can be sourced from legitimate sites. The F22 Pro is still too big of a phone tho 😂

This is it. It's what I've wanted for years. A non rugged phone in a feature phone body with full android. I'm a Google voice user and I don't want a bulky giant rugged dumb phone just to have android. It's not even about distractions, it's about liking to carry very small phones.

It's cheap and desirable enough that, at some point I may order and put in the order notes I want the full version, then see what happens, and file a PayPal dispute at worst.

Wanted the qin f21 pro Plus but found out there were issues using or downloading apps in the U.S. Will this phone work with no workarounds out of the box with major carriers? I really like the form factor and functionality but am slightly skeptical because I am no tech wizard lol. Basically, will it work out of the box if I take it to TMobile or Verizon with my old phone#, and just want to download Android apps and so on? I am talking about the NOVEMBER Version btw. It is. They have sent me this device and I’ve been in contact with them. I agree their website needs a facelift, but it’s normal in kosher communities for websites to look similar to that haha.
Finally got a reply from pure talk about when the full version will be available. The email just said they will make an “assessment” in February. Not sure what that means. Do you think there is any chance Att will approve this phone? I have Firstnet and don’t want to leave, but also really want this phone.

It's all about design. The Qin F30 is much slimmer and has the same functions. Yes the CAT S22 was my work phone up until the F30 came and then it was a great improvement in design and weight that I decided to switch.

Major Update!!!! In talking with Kosher resellers I have gleaned some information. 1) February is the earliest expected release for the Full Version F30. 2) the kosher market resellers are BIG MAD that such a version is even planned and are exerting huge pressure to block it's production.
My only complaint about these phones is that it closes apps in the background when idle. So if you use any app other than those of google (Gmail, etc) you won't get notifications after a while. No solution for this except to root it and make the apps you want as system apps so they don't get killed in the background. But it's too much of a hustle the rooting process and it is not worth it if you already bought the model with google services on
Reason is that I need 1 app for meetings. That's literally the only reason. I am changing my set up soon though to have an LP2 only and work via a LTE Laptop with Google Voice as the SMS provider.

I spend a lot time on my phone for work (in front of my laptop) and can't imagine holding the LP2 to my ear or leaving head phones on all day. Did this end up coming out? I've found many F21 Pros on aliexpress, as well as the F22, but no mention of an F30 anywhere. First, excellent video as usual. This looks like it might be the one!! I do have a few questions. So, does it have Bluetooth capabilities? How about a phone jack? Removable battery? Will they have updates, and how secure might it be? You mentioned that it's Android based. Which version, or is it one of those "shorter" versions? I apologize for so many questions, but it's that I'm excited for this phone. It really looks like what I want...It would have been perfect if it would have been a flip phone, but this will do nicely. Yes on Bluetooth. No headphone jack. No removable battery. Security and OS updates are promised by Pure Talk but I can’t tell you whether it’ll happen or not since I haven’t had any myself. It’s quite early still. Android 11. No SD card. 64Gb only.

Signal can be set as the default :) Slack works and operates well in the device. Kosher means clean I believe in the Jewish community. It's specifically made so that kids don't get distracted but have functions. It essentially has no internet so kids/adults don't go into unbecoming websites.
If you can confirm this phone will work in Canada I am purchasing it today. Love that it has usefull apps like wave and uber, I won't install gmail on it. Other than that this is a great phone that solves the issues other dumbphones have which is no uber or waze thats huge for me.

I am attracted by the F21 Pro. But I have seen many reviews and keypad is practically not used by reviewers instead are using touchpad screen. So, I am ask you: is the keypad useful and fast to type? Why me to buy a phone with keypad if only it will use the touchscreen?
it seems like the phones are pretty similar, minus the form factor. Similar screen size, battery, specs. I have the s22 with a minimal launcher. My only complaint its that it's quite the brick in pocket. I'm looking forward to the f30. I think it will be a perfect device for my needs.

Around $250 I've been told. It is a bit steep, but I think it will come down eventually. Plus, it was a whole ordeal for them to get it to work in the US, so I think it's a good option :)

@JoseBriones Just picked up what I guess is an updated F30 version that has Nikie texting with a dictionary using the physical buttons (purchased this one through Blue Savings Deals Phones). Only issue is I can’t figure out how to auto-capitalize the first word of the sentence without switching back to triple click. Anybody have a good solution feel free to help me out :)
It's not a good way, it's not a full smartphone. Buying Qin F30 and using it like a smarphone is not a best idea. As a full smartphone it has drawbacks - screen is not fully designed for apps (or apps are not designed for small screens). It's better to use full smartphone if someone want's full apps, full customize etc. Qin is more like a advanced featurephone, it's better to think from that perspective. As a featurephone it's a great device.
I use indistractable launcher on a cat s22. It has very similar specs/screen size and works seamlessly with the minimal amount of apps I use. It also doesn't cause lag. I tried a few others, and some created size format issues, stalling, multiple clicking lag….

Hello together! i have a general question. How does this phone and other "dump phone" work with whats App web or Signal web? Can you somehow get it to work there? Than i coud just write my massages at the PC´s. Or do i need an "classic" smartphone to set it up ones and than swicht to my dump phone for regualar use?

@@reggiep75 I have K9T9 and it’s the best I’ve used on this phone. It’s still early days and it is missing a few things. But it is definitely the nicest T9 experience so far (better than built in Kika and Traditional T9 IME). All the other ones I’ve seen are sucky on screen T9 for people with all screen smartphones.

Jose - Just watched this video and thinking about getting the LP2. What does the Xiaomi have that makes it a better work phone for you?
Reason is that I need 1 app for meetings. That's literally the only reason. I am changing my set up soon though to have an LP2 only and work via a LTE Laptop with Google Voice as the SMS provider.
@@JoseBriones Thanks Jose. Have you thought about doing a video demonstrating your work setup? I spend a lot time on my phone for work (in front of my laptop) and can't imagine holding the LP2 to my ear or leaving head phones on all day. I'm evaluating buying a bluetooth speakerphone instead of using the speaker on the LP2. Thanks again. I wouldn't be making this transition without all the information you are providing.

Did this end up coming out? I've found many F21 Pros on aliexpress, as well as the F22, but no mention of an F30 anywhere. The F21 Pro looks identical to the phone in this video, is it the same thing? Thanks in advance for the help, I'm trying to pick one of these up with Google Play services. I would've preferred the F22 but it doesn't work on Verizon as far as I can tell.
Get the F21 and follow the guides on XDA to convert the bands. It should work in the US with many carriers.

I do have a few questions. So, does it have Bluetooth capabilities? How about a phone jack? Removable battery? Will they have updates, and how secure might it be? You mentioned that it's Android based. Which version, or is it one of those "shorter" versions? I apologize for so many questions, but it's that I'm excited for this phone. It really looks like what I want...It would have been perfect if it would have been a flip phone, but this will do nicely. Oh...two more question...what is the memory storage, and is it expandable?

Yes on Bluetooth. No headphone jack. No removable battery. Security and OS updates are promised by Pure Talk but I can’t tell you whether it’ll happen or not since I haven’t had any myself. It’s quite early still. Android 11. No SD card. 64Gb only.

Overall, it still appears great. None of it a deal breaker. I'm sure it doesn't have a lot of bloatware, so it won't take up a lot of the memory. Anyway, thanks again on doing a fantastic job in reviewing these phones. I'm considering this phone as my workhorse too. Take care.

You should check out the Xiaomi FEW Pro it's similar to this device but has a bigger screen since I'm a bit visually impaired :')
Hey Jose I am seriously considering this kosher device as it especially works with Verizon. Though I do have a few questions. Does the basic version come with WhatsApp and can you use the digital keyboard on the kosher version? Also what do you think about privacy and updates with this phone?
Digital keyboard yes. No WhatsApp. Privacy and updates are scheduled for this device.

Excellent review! Very Awesome. QUESTION: I have an iphone 12 mini with verizon. Would I be able to simply pop the sim card out of my iphone and place it into this phone for service? Or would i need further carrier involvement. I like the idea of being able to simply jump between using the iphone and using the xiaomi with the same phone #
Yes. You can just swap the SIM cards :)

Slack works and operates well in the device.
Kosher means clean I believe in the Jewish community. It's specifically made so that kids don't get distracted but have functions. It essentially has no internet so kids/adults don't go into unbecoming websites.

If you can confirm this phone will work in Canada I am purchasing it today. Love that it has usefull apps like wave and uber, I won't install gmail on it. Other than that this is a great phone that solves the issues other dumbphones have which is no uber or waze thats huge for me.

This looks great. The F30 is the same as the F21 Pro in specs but full Google support I guess? The F22 isn’t even full Google if I’m not wrong and that is kinda a bummer even though it’s “international”.
F22 has a full google version.

Does this phone support group text messaging? Took the plunge and ordered the Kosher version. Thank goodness for companies like this that end up supporting the digital minimalist lifystyle. I think a phone like this has the light phone 2 beat. Light phone tries to be a tool but its still missing a key tool in todays life which is rideshare. I really think this phone has the LP2 beat, will find out when mine gets here in about 4 days
Yes. It should. Rideshare can now be accessed by calling a number, so it's not a big issue for many.
You are saying they're actually the F21 Pro, just customized for US bands? Meaning that if I want to use this in Europe, what I'm interested in is actually the F21 Pro? At this point I'm quite confused about the differences and similarities between all these Xiaomi F-something candy bars (and availabilty). F21 Pro, F21 Pro Plus, F22, F30... Which one to get? A side-by side chart would really be awesome.
F21 Pro and Plus, F22 are international. F30 is USA.

I am attracted by the F21 Pro. But I have seen many reviews and keypad is practically not used by reviewers instead are using touchpad screen. So, I am ask you: is the keypad useful and fast to type? Why me to buy a phone with keypad if only it will use the touchscreen?
You have to download traditional T9 or K9T9 in order to use the keypad. But it is possible to use and type fast :)

The F21 Pro works in Deutschland :). I'd recommend the F21 because of design and better band compatibility for Europe :)
it seems like the phones are pretty similar, minus the form factor. Similar screen size, battery, specs. I have the s22 with a minimal launcher. My only complaint its that it's quite the brick in pocket. I'm looking forward to the f30. I think it will be a perfect device for my needs.

Correct. There is a company that is holding the exclusivity of this model and won't allow a full version to be released.

No. You need to have Google Play services to have Google calendar. It has a basic calendar, but no native Google calendar.

Around $250 I've been told. It is a bit steep, but I think it will come down eventually. Plus, it was a whole ordeal for them to get it to work in the US, so I think it's a good option :)

What I've heard about the f22 pro is that there's a google play version. If there were a f21 pro with google play I would pick it in a heart beat. I want bank apps and such and they need google play
There is a Google Play F21 version. The F22 also has a Google version. And this F30 will also have one too :)

Check Aliexpress. They have the Google version as well as the non-Google. I prefer the F21 because of the size. The F22 is massive imo.

It comes with Google keyboard already. That has voice to text. T9 not possible to install. Only triple click.

Only issue is I can’t figure out how to auto-capitalize the first word of the sentence without switching back to triple click. Anybody have a good solution feel free to help me out :)

How are 3rd party launchers on this phone? It would be nice to use it with something like Slim launcher and other minimal interfaces for it
Usable and you can customize it as much as you want.
It's not a good way, it's not a full smartphone. Buying Qin F30 and using it like a smarphone is not a best idea. As a full smartphone it has drawbacks - screen is not fully designed for apps (or apps are not designed for small screens). It's better to use full smartphone if someone want's full apps, full customize etc. Qin is more like a advanced featurephone, it's better to think from that perspective. As a featurephone it's a great device.
I use Before Launcher as it is quite key friendly unlike a lot of the minimalist launchers. It works really well on this device.
I use indistractable launcher on a cat s22. It has very similar specs/screen size and works seamlessly with the minimal amount of apps I use. It also doesn't cause lag. I tried a few others, and some created size format issues, stalling, multiple clicking lag….

No release date anymore. They have encountered a lot of red tape and the phone it's staying in its kosher mode for now.

i have a general question. How does this phone and other "dump phone" work with whats App web or Signal web? Can you somehow get it to work there? Than i coud just write my massages at the PC´s.
Or do i need an "classic" smartphone to set it up ones and than swicht to my dump phone for regualar use?
I like the idea of a small device but not one with this small screen and keyboard 🤔 just because typing will be really difficult especially with different languages

@@JoseBriones - Been looking for a new keypad app for my F21 Pro, the others right now are lacking and screen T9 focussed as opposed to T9 physical keypad. I'm even retorting to using Android's own Qwerty for SMS and a few other things. Thanks for the heads up 👍
Ideally, I really would love a Nokia style T9 keypad with auto capitalisation, and everything else missing from other T9 projects.
@@reggiep75 I have K9T9 and it’s the best I’ve used on this phone. It’s still early days and it is missing a few things. But it is definitely the nicest T9 experience so far (better than built in Kika and Traditional T9 IME). All the other ones I’ve seen are sucky on screen T9 for people with all screen smartphones.

You can install the store if you want on the F30 with google play. I choose to remove it.
