This was the last season that KAJ won the season MVP, as you can see in this video, he still had.a lot of his athleticisim, he was at the peak of his great career, he still had a lot of good seasons, like 6 more 20+ seasons, but athletic wisse, in my opinion this was he´s peak, specially he´s rebounding numbers droop every year, but he learn how to best contribute to team success, and that was mostly by scoring, and enough rebounding and shotblocking to make he´s team succesful.
Kareem goal is to win. He doesn't stand for free throws to get easy rebounds as he is on the other end conserve his energy late in his career. Boston was insane good and Kareem has to play extra hard for the Lakers to beat them
Nobody’s stopping prime Kareem in today’s game. He would just score at will with the hooks and the jumpers. Look how crowded the paint was back then and how empty it is now.
So smooth, agile, long and to add to that he was 7'2 with deadly accuracy with unlockable shot. Lots of people talk about Kareem's sky hook which is the obvious....but the foot work especially at his size to get that shot off was just as impressive.
I'm not saying this to cause trouble or bring attention to myself okay. Kareem would dominate mj one on one because the only thing he could do was shoot 3s and that ain't his game
Actually I don't see the reason you would be thought to be a jerk for saying this . I mean it's facts . Actually, mj would do better on offense than you think because he is too athletic and even in his prime Kareem woule struggle to keep up with him . But still Kareem would score more easily than mj would . So yeah Kareem would probably win. Still , Hakeem would 98% win mj easily and Wilt in his prime would have big chances also
@@jimjim3979 Athletic - watch Game of Death. And, can Kareem get physical with MJ ? Kareem's footwork is perhaps the best ever. Watch Walton talk about it. Bruce Lee even commented on it. Michael also doesn't have the jumper, early on....and Kareem is the best rim defender, with long ass arms. It's really hard to say....but the big man usually wins, especially old school hoop
Kareem was fukn sick.
You can say that again

hard to argue that anything from 71 to 80 wasn't a huge 'peak'
People 4 get KAJ wasn't all sky hook....this guy had a sweet fadeaway. All agree that version of Kareem was unstoppable.
I'm a Celtics fan, but Kareem was worth to watch, and that old Celtics team was just beautiful, they played with passion.
Kareem first 3 to 4 seasons was his last years in his prime when it came to his skills and he definitely deserved to win his last league MVP award!

great game....kareem dominate 3 hofamers...bird,cowens and tiny!
GOAT 🐐
Bill Russell is not in this video
Sorry, Bill Russell did not lay in this game.
I don't see Kobe or MJ in this video.

00:30 unstoppable move
For his entire career

👏
i just dont see why he's so great. top 5 for me is MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Bird, Magic.
You don't know hoop
lol what? Kareem literally won in all levels of basketball, highschool, college, and NBA. He dominated the 70s winning 6 mvps and many more accolades
70s was so weak though compared to the 90s to today@@AriesExtras
@@AriesExtras These fools aren't just delusional...they're utterly ignorant.
Kareem is by far the most impressive resume in NBA history.
Maybe you should take off the blinders...

There is no question that Kareem would dominate Jordan. Kareem can be considered the bets ever; Jordan not so much

1-1 play is very different. Kareem, Wilt, Shaq, Hakeem will score on anyone below 6'10" on every possession. And they would block on the other end
