The way our system works is if a suspect does a crime like kidnapping a child but doesn’t get to complete their crime like assault or kill they still get less sentences unless attorneys can prove that they planned to do so, with the woman who got kidnapped by her ex boyfriend he got life because it was aggravated kidnapping, not only did he kidnap her but he beat her. That’s why child predators don’t get much prison time and are often let go and put on a sex offenders list because the government thinks rape isn’t as punishable of a crime than murder.
