I have been telling people Ezreal is a poke support by kit FOR YEARS. YEARS. His abilities, if you use them to farm, are not available to trade -- and if you instead trade, his abilities aren't available to farm. Playing him as support lets him get gold while focusing on trading, since he doesn't need to farm. The new season 14 support item is ideal for him, too... so Ezreal support is now stronger than ever. I'm glad Keria has the nerve to meta-break. We need a lot more of it.
the problem with ur logic is that engage supports shut him down. but when you're keria and beryl and can the the tank support upgrades arent the best then you can play shit like ashe and zyra and ez and competive play but lets not Kid ourselves. Keria didnt win that for T1 that was all execute choosing to pick zeus of all things as his target and T1 just doing T1 things.
I haven't really done much of ranked, But a support playstyle I've been really enjoying is AP MF, and I always get told that it doesn't work or it's bad and the one time I played ranked with it, I got blamed for our team losing even though I had 200+ ping the whole time and still had the most damage and my botlaner kept running it down and dying without me there. But people are so hard focused on meta and only listen to "newfound" Korean tactics. Like I have been playing AP Smolder ever since he came out, and then the "new Korean tactic" came out of running AP on him at the beginning, and now everyone still calls him shit because they run him as an adc. As with AP MF she literally has AP scalings everywhere. All you need is grudge/LDR and your Q and R will still be really decent. Her E has a 120% AP damage scaling, is great with Liandry's and Horizon focus AND HF provides reveal which is even better for supports. Her W speed can help provide speed for roaming, and her E slow can reach 70-80% slow because it also scales with AP. I know this thread isn't about MF or whatnot, but it's just the idea of "off meta" being trashed on and getting ridiculed, banned, or being labeled as trolling because sheep don't know how to not do anything Korean players do, and I just don't understand why people can't let people play and enjoy what they want.

In theory, there are several other champions that would work as support. You just need to put it into practice. Not everyone has the mechanics to hit skillshots. Xerath is an excellent support too: If you don't miss the skills. There's no need for Keria to prove it.

My best pair was with a pantheon so far( he can survive as long as you when ganked and has ad dmg so they can’t buy only magic def.
Honestly watching this and seeing Keria do it as well... Zwag has been doing this build in mid lane for quite some time. Hes also done Ez sup without the manamune for almost as long.

I like skill shot champions ezreal is fun to play but wow some people are toxic when you pick it lmao
any champion can be played support. but champions like sona, nami, yuumi, blitz, pyke, rakan, etc are forced to be played uspport because they have bad waveclear. enchanters are best played in duo lane because their abilties interact with allies. i theorize soraka can be played in the farm role because she has ok waveclear with her q. same as karma. and even orianna. pair them with a tank support. when i play sona, i would much rather have my farmer be a tank/bruiser than a marksman. sona really needs thatfront line to take agro. imagine sona support with poppy farm. sona/nasus, sona/aatrox etc. nowadays marksmen have so muc hsafetey they should just solo lane. most of the time, marksmen arent even necessary because nobody plays tanks anymore. theyre only goo for killing baron. even then, if u have an ap dps like zyra/cass/teemo, you should be fine. mages like zyra and brand are sitting ducks solo lane, but they have great farming potential. have them duo lane with a tank support to peel. zyra/naut would be nasty and more than enough cc to cover for the entire team. ori could just throw her ball on the tank and ult on cd.
The moment I saw Horizon Focus with its vision passive I was interested in what support uses it might have. I didnt think about Ezreal with it, but I love it.

I was playing Ezreal support back in like 2015-16. As a main ezreal back then, I was trashing everyone without the stress to farm.

I am playing ez supp since keria was playing it solo queue in the PH just cries when they see it LOL it has a bad drop off when the adc is very bad
