I was really into the game, grinding a lot, playing some pvp and all but it does get kinda boring when u try to farm for the next weapon or the next armor but u can't since there's like 3 random dudes sniping u all the time, even more if u do it alone.
i was kinda expect this game to have stalker experience but in reality it was just CoD run n game battle royale grindfest to make you go places like a marathon runner with anabolic steroids

Most of the people that throw the "skill issue" around, are either Russians that have thousands of hours and have grinded or straight up stockpiled and bought all the materials for all the meta endgame items that they know are meta right now and will become meta later on and now they just go out their way to camp spots and kill every player that approaches to then grab their bags and throw them around in some anomaly or impossible to find spot, to the point I've even seen them team up with other friends that are on different factions, just to track down players and backstab them esentially. Or straight up cheaters that will see you thru walls, that will have no fog and they will throw themselves straight at you from 500 meters away and kill you instantly thru any kind of bush or cover because they simply can. But yea it is pretty funny when the 200 hour Centurion/VSS/Cocoon/Python goes and just spawncamps the new player with 6 hours into the game that doesn't even know what's going on and all they can say is "skill issue lol"

one thing I know this game NEEDS is to highlight sessions. have a quest for it when you get to the Bar or something. pretty sure 80% of people don't even know what this is. I didn't even know until like hour 180 of my playtime.

Fun fact: when you complain about game in Steam. There is higher chance getting respond is Clown Emoji and of course funnie word "Skill Issue". Also found in discussion page most discuss is PVP problem (around 100 comment if i not wrong). Hope you read that
Im not letting the Lilia situation stop me from playing, i mean i kinda expected it. No game is perfect but i don't want the game to die cause i really do enjoy it.
Very grindy but makes milestones enjoyable. The issue is pvp. Apart from cheaters the fact that people go out of their way to pvp for little gain is just straight up toxic. Grinding isn't fun when you get slowed at every corner.
I did the main story with the basic m16.... It was a struggle but it was pretty fun. It's not that bad. In regards to cheaters, I'm playing on the EU side and in the 200 hours or so that I've put in now I honestly don't see any of them. I've only had maybe a hand full of encounters where it was just pretty obvious the guy wasn't playing fair (like getting seen while laying prone in a bush behind multiple trees) or this one dude that just rushes across the pit killing every bandit there somehow knowing where everyone is..Other than those few incidents I never really felt at a disadvantage other than my own errors, getting greedy for loot when a death squad is near me etc. PVP being on at all times shouldn't be removed in my opinion, think about games like Tarkov, Darker & Darker, Black Desert Online (yes that one has forced pvp at end game too.) and many other games alike and it works just fine. I think the main issue lies within the fact that people as you've said have nothing else to do after a certain point and the MAIN questing zone is located at that exact spot where those people are spawning for the most part. If there's content to do, raids for example then those people wouldn't be sitting outside the bar killing every newbie that's trying to complete his main story or side quest. It's tough but I think it adds great satisfaction when you finally get to complete it. Fast travel should only be added if it has a downside to it, otherwise it's just too easy to avoid the other faction which is an integral part of the game after all. At the end of the day these are solely my opinions after all and I really believe that this game is not meant for a lot of people. It's a very grindy and hard game if you want to get quick progress, I don't think it's intended for people to spend 20 hours and be at the end with maxed out gear
I'd say pvp have reason to exist, if players can gain loot from winning a fire fight, not just ammo and other stuffs that dosent related to progression. Pvp in this game crurrently felt like just a world building and irritating for me, if i win someone only lose 30 min or an hour of progression while i gain nothing, and vice versa if im lose. In extraction gamemode like tarkov, u gain "everything" from the dead players except for items that they put in scure container which it far more engaging in free pvp that stalcraft can ever be because u gain tangeble progression when u win a fight and able to extract with said items. I mean, if they want to goes free pvp route, then make it important, make it related to the progression, have tokens or points that u gain from winning pvp, or u can loot everything except dead player's gears not what is it right now.
@@ShizyPro I know you can if you have a rough idea but I'm more so talking about a random ass bush way outside the "traffic" zones near the edges of a zone where there would be absolutely no reason for anyone to look and no events going on either nearby. once can be a pure coincidence but a couple times in a row in different locations getting killed by the same person who for some reason goes out of his way to check the exact location I'm at? That just feels very odd to me at least.
@@rukinaa the entrance campers are very annoying indeed. I am always very careful at every entrance and even then sometimes you will just get melted by a VSS eventough you have shit gear compared to that. if I hear my player counter beep I always take my pvp gun and proceed with caution to make sure if it is a friendly or not. it is not a forgiving game for sure but I think if you are cautious enough more than not you can deliver your loot back to the base (again north is a different story). learning curve is huge and players who are familiar with tarkov or battle royal games will probably have the idea about positioning and rotating etc. so you maximalize the chance of not dying. but I still agree that the game could be more forgiving especially early-mid game or they could implement some features that could make the game less punishing so new players dont quit. I feel like once you figure out the game, you are gonna keep playing it since it just sucks you in.
@@ShizyPro Exactly, positioning and caution is key in this and it does allow you to make it back most of the time. I don’t mind it if the game gives people some help at all in the beginning and mid game as long as it doesn’t make it too simple either, if they remove pvp in some places like people suggest then you’ll get the game split into pvp/pve zones & then I think you’ll get eve more diversity and complaining people who will have even less of a clue on how to handle pvp. I also think that A LOT of people forget they don’t have to take on every freaking guy they see. It’s not that difficult to just hold out and not shoot at times and it can often make the difference between coming back alive or not (in the scenario where you don’t come face to face obviously). There’s a few things they could add to improve the the early mid game but I still don’t quite think holding peoples hands early on is going to prepare them to eventually having to face people who will have more map/game knowledge than them and get stomped, losing their ressources and some will accept it while others will complain.. I think if they would add the ability to pick which sub server you are on for example would help newer players. They could add a server for “new” accounts that have below a certain amount of game time for example (yes you’ll run into smurfs with that but those exist already)

you cant expect everyone to keep at a game. lots of people will try a game and find out its not for them and move on. the gameplay gets cutthroat when you hit the bar and the requirements to get improved stuff increases and the full amount of content hasnt been implemented.
200 hours in the game now, and the only part i complain is the bar area, but its enjoyable if you swallou up somethings, and be aware ALL the time. Second thing (I know i said there was only one but hey, forgive me) the difference in map walking (80% of the time) from stalkers to bandits. That is total AIDS!

150 hours in. The game is grindy, straight up disrespectful and still has some p2w to it. You can sell premiums to instantly stock up on in-game-currency and get the best, most expensive artifacts. EXBO either fixes this game or it will perish. That's just the worst part, and I'm not even at the part where max-geared players use camping and roaming tactics to eliminate other player's work just for the fun.

I quit because of lacking content. Who knows, the devs may be working on creating a full NA team then roll out a series of updates, including improvements in customer relations.
end game grind is just too much. having to walk 5 minutes to be it yanov or limansk, grind for 2 hours, die to a camper and repeat is just so damn not fun..
my mate doesnt like this game mainly just coz theres no fast travel which i get but personally i enjoy the artifact hunting and random encounters so idc but understandable itll keep other people playing
For me atleast the game is facing alot of issues like the big gap between firefights if you have a vss vs one who has not and i think alot can agree the meta is bs. Another thing is the grind in the north if you solo you might aswell forget about it grinding for top tier gear. Ive done it all got all the spicy stuff but even then when ypu have it there is simply not enough to do. alot of content is missing from the game. Then we also have a big cheater issue with the game i dont mind it since i rarely meet them but i hear alot of people cry about it. Then another thing that piss people of is the amount of blackholes and vortex there is feels like the miss a chance by putting lets say a random electro some where just like the normal stalker games that this is based from but it is really far off that. And last but not least the pay to win feture the game has you can just buy mats for real money and skip all the grind or unbox creates sell the skins on auction then buy mats from there

(I've been playing this game from the Russian community since 2019) Sorry, I don't understand English, but on my own I want to say that the game used to be more atmospheric but much harder in terms of solo gameplay (let people who think that "fuuu a copy of a stalker" go to hell because game since 2014 and was built under the stalker all the time) It’s a pity that you didn’t see the times before the “perestroika” in the foreign community, because then people organized contests for themselves and were mercenaries and guides who could help all newcomers for free while adding atmosphere
Im got tired of the game, i know It circles arround the ideia that u are never safe o In the zone, but to be honest going and farming 2 hours Just to turn back and Go back to the bar so u can make whatever u wanna do and be bullyied by 3 dudes sitting on a Bush or Just camping the areas exits, i leaved the game because the inhuman amount of time that u have to put in the game, like farming 2-3 hours to be killed by a random dude efing camping in a Bush, the game Its Fun, the gunplay is decent and has a cool idea of progression. But playing whit 170+ ping (aka. Lattency) Its not funny.

I would agree on the most part, How ever I had seen NATO soldiers in the dark Valley rinse me out of nowhere whilst I was running through from like.. 130M, Now I survived cause I just used cover but, someone with less gear may get dropped before they know it. I do think its fine how it is though. Just saying I can see their points.
@@Trisp. only once happened to me a full patrol spawn right on top of me in dump,I had scientist suit on and died instantly but most times they are low gear or you can see them on the map
I stopped play simply because it kinda got boring, the pvp was very easy not much a skill gap, just kinda waiting for update so I don't get beamed by as val

fast travel would help allot with the pvp pits near the mix bases , if ur gonna cheat do it in a solo player game not in a multi player one . the one that have skill issues are the cheater bc they are cheating in a multi player game

if you spam the spot button when you know someone is nearby you can see players through bushes and trees. people who dont know think its wh many times

If you complain against the bosses then use the Trapper line armor. It makes it way easier to defeat many mutants

I quit because of lacking content. Who knows, the devs may be working on creating a full NA team then roll out a series of updates, including improvements in customer relations.
end game grind is just too much. having to walk 5 minutes to be it yanov or limansk, grind for 2 hours, die to a camper and repeat is just so damn not fun..
Yea I quit after farming 3 hours in yanov and all gone because surprise chimera & blackhole
my mate doesnt like this game mainly just coz theres no fast travel which i get but personally i enjoy the artifact hunting and random encounters so idc but understandable itll keep other people playing
For me atleast the game is facing alot of issues like the big gap between firefights if you have a vss vs one who has not and i think alot can agree the meta is bs. Another thing is the grind in the north if you solo you might aswell forget about it grinding for top tier gear. Ive done it all got all the spicy stuff but even then when ypu have it there is simply not enough to do. alot of content is missing from the game. Then we also have a big cheater issue with the game i dont mind it since i rarely meet them but i hear alot of people cry about it. Then another thing that piss people of is the amount of blackholes and vortex there is feels like the miss a chance by putting lets say a random electro some where just like the normal stalker games that this is based from but it is really far off that. And last but not least the pay to win feture the game has you can just buy mats for real money and skip all the grind or unbox creates sell the skins on auction then buy mats from there
lilia is still cheating and i have clips of it from their stream from yesterday so its not bygones be bygones when the person is still doing it

Too much grind + non realistic combat
(I've been playing this game from the Russian community since 2019) Sorry, I don't understand English, but on my own I want to say that the game used to be more atmospheric but much harder in terms of solo gameplay (let people who think that "fuuu a copy of a stalker" go to hell because game since 2014 and was built under the stalker all the time) It’s a pity that you didn’t see the times before the “perestroika” in the foreign community, because then people organized contests for themselves and were mercenaries and guides who could help all newcomers for free while adding atmosphere

In the zone, but to be honest going and farming 2 hours Just to turn back and Go back to the bar so u can make whatever u wanna do and be bullyied by 3 dudes sitting on a Bush or Just camping the areas exits, i leaved the game because the inhuman amount of time that u have to put in the game, like farming 2-3 hours to be killed by a random dude efing camping in a Bush, the game Its Fun, the gunplay is decent and has a cool idea of progression. But playing whit 170+ ping (aka. Lattency) Its not funny.
yeah its basically Death Stranding but focus on walking its gets boring really quick

I would agree on the most part, How ever I had seen NATO soldiers in the dark Valley rinse me out of nowhere whilst I was running through from like.. 130M, Now I survived cause I just used cover but, someone with less gear may get dropped before they know it. I do think its fine how it is though. Just saying I can see their points.
@@Trisp. only once happened to me a full patrol spawn right on top of me in dump,I had scientist suit on and died instantly but most times they are low gear or you can see them on the map

I stopped play simply because it kinda got boring, the pvp was very easy not much a skill gap, just kinda waiting for update so I don't get beamed by as val
The "Skill gap" is pretty much who has better gear.
@@Trisp. this! thank you! i finished the main story and had a blast! pve and pve! but now im trying to do that endless grind for materials and bar reputation to get decent gear while i constantly have to dodge full geared players that just beam me with out having a chance to even react.... its just a pain in the ass like there is no real midgame. I dont know what happened but suddenly im surrounded by players that got everything and are just bored it seems? its feels like i reached a point where the game just told me "here! funs over get fing rekt for the next 50 hours to be able to do the same in the end"?

I really enjoy this game so much, but with time gets really boring, like snipers kill you with one shoot whats the point of more weapons, also the anomalies in all the tplace lol, people farming people etc etc........ really zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

fast travel would help allot with the pvp pits near the mix bases , if ur gonna cheat do it in a solo player game not in a multi player one . the one that have skill issues are the cheater bc they are cheating in a multi player game
